WILL SELL YOU A CAR WITH PROBLEMS! Well, this is why you should wait a few months to post reviews... After the initial buying experience, this has been nothing short of a nightmare. About a week after getting home, the Air Conditioner started blowing hot air. My wife and I called Chapman Honda to see if they could check it out. After leaving three messages and no returned calls, I called a fourth time with success. The man I talked to was Maher Chaghouri, he told me there was nothing they could do even though I just bought the car a less than a week before, and refused to take a look at it. However, he did say I could call the service shop and they may be able to offer me a special of some kind. After calling the service technician, I was told "There is no special, there has never been one, I don't know what your talking about!", "I'll check it out for you, but there is no deal and will be around $100 just to look". Being that we JUST BOUGHT A CAR, we were a little short on money and had to go elsewear. One of the big selling points for this car was it was sold new at Chapman Honda, and taken there for maintenance for the whole life of the car. So if there was any problem, they would know. It was bought new there, had it's entire maintenance history done there, and was sold back to them, which is when my wife and I bought it. We wanted to continue to get the car serviced there, but I guess they didn't want us there. After some online research, we decided to go to BreakMax, as they had high reviews, and were very accommodating and pleasant to speak too. However, once they checked it out, we found out that there was 2 very large holes in the AC, that was causing a large leak. The technicians there were great, they took us back, and even showed us their pressure gauges hooked up so we could see the difference between our car and a fully charged one. Even when the car was up on the rack, it was obvious there was AC spraying everywhere, not hard to spot. They even went on to tell us they would back us up when it came to Chapman Honda going out of their way to sell us a car with problems they knew about. Then we were told that they found dye in the system, which means the previous mechanics to work on it (Chapman Honda) seen the problem, decided not to fix it and just recharge it knowing it would leak, and sell "as is" without informing the buyer. Once we got this news; needless to say, we were not happy. Immediately we tried to call our original salesman, Jose Montoya. We left 2 messages for him and waited a whole 48 hours for a callback without a car. We even had to get rides to work off friends, just to give this guy a chance to call us back, but nothing. I will NOT let my wife drive around in 100 degree+ temperatures with no AC in southern Arizona, that is just stupid and unsafe. So after paying the bill, I have been attempting to call Chapman Honda for a week now. Four messages and zero callbacks in a week. The only reason for this, is they know exactly what's wrong and know what i'm going to say. They called back in 15 minutes when we were looking to buy, now it takes weeks. What's even more disappointing, is I am a disabled veteran from the 03' invasion of Iraq. I told our salesman I have a hard time getting around and need something reliable due to injuries sustained during the war, and he said "This car is 100% top to bottom, our technicians have checked it out 100%". I feel like Chapman Honda does NOT like veterans and will go out of their way to take as much money off them as they can. They see veterans as "suckers" to take advantage of. If you have any respect in yourself and your company, you will stop blowing me off and call me back to talk to me about this like an adult. I hope your happy with yourselves Chapman Honda, you really took it too a veteran and his family a few weeks before memorial day. More

The finance person I worked with, Vinny, never even asked if I wanted Gap coverage, he just put it on, along with all the other perks for the dealership, and expected me to know those were extras and could be removed from the sale. Buyer beware. On a positive note, the car was sold without a second key but they were nice enough to cut a new key at no charge. However, the treatment I received after the sale was bad. Someone at Chapman didn't do something with my paperwork and it was impossible to get them to say who/what/when/where/why, or even apologize. My car was financed through Vantage West. About 5 days before my first payment was due I hadn't received anything from Vantage West. No invoice, payment booklet, account information - zilch. So I called Vantage West. They said they had no record of me and suggested I call Chapman Honda. So I did. I got the run-around by Chapman Honda, told everything was fine, it would all be taken care of, and my salesperson hung up on me as soon as possible. The salesperson even sounded a little peeved that I called. I was prepared to let that one slide. Stuff happens when it comes to paperwork. But the only reason the bank and payment issue was resolved was because I did the work. Then my temporary license and registration were about to expire. I called my salesperson one week before the expiration date and was told my plate and registration were "in the works." Well, in truth, they were not. A week passed, my license plate never arrived, and I was left with an expired temp plate and registration. So I called Chapman again and was told they were, "checking the system." That made me wonder if dealerships actually have access to AZDMV info so I called the DMV directly. When I gave the DMV my temporary license number they said they had no information on me. The guy I spoke with at the DMV actually laughed out loud when I told him Chapman Honda said they were, "checking the system." Dealerships do not have access to DMV information or when you will get your plate. But, back to the Chapman experience. Keep in mind, my temporary information had already expired, and now I found out directly from the DMV they hadn't even received anything to issue me a real plate 45 days after my purchase at Chapman Honda. So I called Chapman back and WOW were they pissed that I actually had nerve to call the DMV and find out some truth. The salesperson basically wouldn't even let me talk when I called. She just cut me off every time to say they were working on it, that it was a process, and that I needed to be patient. Nevermind I wasn't able to legally drive the car - I just needed to be patient as far as Chapman was concerned. But I stayed on Chapman because, you know, I wanted to actually drive my car, and eventually I did get my real plate. It came with only a 3 month tag, which was a first on all the cars I've bought, but I figure that was Chapman's way of giving me the bird on my way out the door with my hard-earned license plate. And the salesperson practically threw the plate at me. If only the Chapman people could have been honest with me. When Vantage West didn't know who I was 5 days before the payment was due I didn't call Chapman to yell or complain, only to ask what was going on. Chapman never apologized. Even if it wasn't their fault, and maybe it wasn't, it would have been nice for them to at least acknowledge their customer had to call the bank, figure out what's going on, and then drive to a bank branch to make a payment and get an account setup. Chapman didn't really care. Then, when they consistently lied to me about my plate and registration, and actually got mad at me, their customer, when I called their bluff, it was too much. Again, if they could have only been honest and admitted they were behind on getting my information in, or said the third party they use to submit my information for a plate was behind, and offered a simple apology (whether it was their fault or not) it would have gone a long way. But, as it turned out, Chapman was no different than any other dealership I've bought from here in Tucson. Chapman Honda, if you read this stuff, honesty goes a long way. I've worked in service and sales my entire professional career. I've seen mistakes and I've made mistakes. Chances are real high that every potential customer you get through your doors has seen them and made them as well. Lying about a mistake is like trying to get out of a hole with shovel, you'll either dig yourself deeper or bury yourself. More

He told us up front what the cost was going to be and then it was a little under his estimate. Beside that, the completion time was faster than expected. We really appreciate his service. He's an honest man. Of course he didn't do the whole thing by himself. The technician who did the job was efficient and knowledgeable also and that saved us money. Thanks for a job well done. More

Lupita Finn is a rock star I have been buying my Honda's from Lupita for years First a Honda Mini Van for getting the kids to and from and then a Honda Pilot which was great wit I have been buying my Honda's from Lupita for years First a Honda Mini Van for getting the kids to and from and then a Honda Pilot which was great with the 3rd row seat. I loved my Pilot so much I eventually traded it in for a new Honda with all the bells and whistles as far as technology and each experience gets better and better. Lupita gets to know her customers and guides you through each step of the purchase. She is not satisfied until you drive off the lot fully knowledgeable of your vehicle and completely at ease. She follows up with you to make sure all is well. Of course it is great because she showed me how to work all the gadgets! Thank you Lupita Finn! More

We were blown away with all the time and miles it saved us. Our Chapman internet salesman was Bryan Knight from whom we ultimately bought the car. But we came in a day early to view the car as we were in the area. Bryan wasn't in that day but Lupita Finn helped us understanding that we were Bryans customer. She took us for a full test ride, was very courteous and went over all the bells and whistles (many) to fully inform us of their function. Three days later we bought the vehicle from Chapman through Bryan. It was an awesome experience of staff working together for the good of the customer and their employer. We would highly recommend either Lupita or Bryan to work with on your sale. More

Purchased my first Honda, since it was used wanted to have it checked out. Upon arriving at their service line was greeted promptly by Shawn, she proceeded to quickly get me checked in. She was thorough with all the needed paperwork and kept me informed of the progress. A half hour later, my vehicle checked out ok, oil was changed and Shawn made sure to go over all the checks that were performed. Everyone that I interacted with was equally as nice and professional. The facility and lot were very well maintained, vehicles were grouped together to make it easier to find what you were looking for. Great selection of new and used vehicles. Would highly recommend anyone wanting a good car dealer experience to visit Chapman. They have earned my business for life. More
