Hello Kim, Thank you for taking the time to comment on your service visit. I spoke with Vince regarding the original transmission problem, and he said that he recommended the installation of a factory reconditioned transmission. Chrysler remanufactured transmissions are rebuilt/resealed using factory new components and come with a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty. Since a less expensive option was necessary, we installed a used transmission at your request. Even though it was procured from a reputable source, it appears that the transmission pan started leaking three days after the installation. I can assure you that this would have been immediately corrected had it been identified during or after the installation. Regarding the issue with the daytime running lights, I would generally conclude that it is not likely to be related to the replacement of a transmission. Since the problem appears to have started recently, we would like to offer a free diagnosis. Hello Sharron, After reviewing your service history, I can actually see why you would be unhappy about having to pay for work performed during your last service visit. Since the purchase of your vehicle in 2008 I noted that your vehicle has been in for service 24 times. Twelve of the 24 visits were covered by warranty or service contracts (pre-paid maintenance), and there were service bills for the remaining twelve visits. Upon review of the remaining twelve invoices, I noted that seven of the invoices were either discounted or free work was performed (including diagnostic fees). Yes, I believe that we probably set expectations in the past that might have left you disappointed this visit. Please accept my apology for this situation. Also, please be assured that gender is not a factor relating to our customer service. I would like to say, with confidence, that your past service invoicing has received more “consideration” than the majority of our other customers. On a side note, I would like to congratulate you on the diligent servicing of your vehicle. I personally believe that the preventative maintenance being performed on your vehicle has contributed greatly to keeping your cumulative service/repair costs under $1000 during the last six years of ownership. Hello Landersonii, Chrysler mandated an open service lane for express oil changes a little over a year ago. This necessitated the need to hire many additional employees, and thus facilitated much quicker service completion times. Many customers value the ability to arrive unannounced and get their vehicles serviced quickly, although we also realized that some customers still prefer to set appointments for an oil change. To accommodate these customers we “fast track” their cars through the shop whenever possible. I apologize that your perception of the process was not conducive to the appointment, although I can assure you that the completion time for an oil change without an appointment is now much quicker than a couple of years ago with an appointment.
