Bad experience with the sales manager on duty 8/25. I purchased a used f-150 from Rich on 8/22. There was some items that needed attention, so it went to the shop overnight. I picked it up the next day. I purchased a used f-150 from Rich on 8/22. There was some items that needed attention, so it went to the shop overnight. I picked it up the next day. Then I found I needed to get the keyless door lock recoded. Took it to a Ford dealership to do so. While there, found out there was more issues that had not been addressed at Chapman before I purchased the unit. The truck had to stay over at the Ford dealership overnight to fix the problems. Then went back to Chapman on 8/25 to address these problems, and request reimbursement of these repairs.Met with the Sales Mgr. on duty that day. This gentleman was of no help. Very bad customer service. Finally was able to have a meeting with Ryan, the service mgr. Completely oppisite of the sales mgr. He went over what the problems were. Turns out his tech had found these issues when he did a safety check after the truck was traded in. This truck was not supposed to be released to sales yet. Bottom line I was reimbursed for these repairs, thanks to a very customer freindly, helpful Ryan, service mgr. Chapman should be very thankful to have this gentleman. He saved my opinion of this dealership. Also Rich, the sales rep. excellent person. The Sales Mgr. on duty that day. Will remain nameless. He knows who he is. Very big thumbs down. More
Disappointing Experience As a first car buyer I definitely did not expect my experience to be handled so poorly. I bought a used car about a week ago which I absolutely love! As a first car buyer I definitely did not expect my experience to be handled so poorly. I bought a used car about a week ago which I absolutely love! It has been my dream car since I was a little girl! I've worked tremendously hard for this car and unfortunately the car has broken down 4 times since, it's been the battery, the coolant, spark plugs, just about everything has happened day after day. I have spent just about everyday at this dealership trying to speak to a sales manager. I am constantly told to come back to speak to Mr. Ben Guthrie who will "resolve" my problems. Yet every time I go in, Mr. Guthrie makes eye contact with me from across the room and sends his sales men to handle the problem and avoids speaking to me at all cost. I have sat there for hours waiting on somebody "who has authority" to speak to me and nobody comes. When I ask for a general manager they claim that he's either in a meeting or he just left or they don't know where he is and give no answers or any help. The customer service here is absolutely atrocious. Looking at the reviews I see I'm not the first customer they've ripped off. Ive watched customers leave this place just as frustrated as I do wishing they would have never bought from here. Once they sell you the car they are of no interest to help. Today I finally spoke to Mr. Guthrie and of course he refused to help me and made negative claims about "trying to help me and speaking to me" when he has avoided me and my situation completely. Seriously don't go here. Oh and I don't want to forget to mention when I was first signing for the deal just about everything in the paperwork was wrong and they had to go back and forth for about 8 hours because the lack of communication between the people that work there is immense. I should've taken that as a sign and backed out then! Extremely disappointed to have been ripped off and treated so poorly. They simply don't care about the customers, just the sales. I have already spoken to the General Manager and was given an apology. Unfortunately that does not change the way I feel about the way I was treated and the poor service given, I would urge others to find a different place to buy. More

Poor Customer Service Chris Scott is a Sales Manager now. He and Danny where working a deal. Yes our credit situation was not easy we found them dealship to less than honest. We found we did not like the car we were looking at so went other dealerships. Found another SUV we loved. Danny had horrible things to say about it and also was discounting the fact that I had a say in the deal as well. So we went to another chevy dealer thinking we already had financing. We were wrong we found that the interest and payments were from them. Not a loan company. So they flat out lied to us about it. Do not use this dealership to buy your car. This seems to be a reaccuring pattern with complaints on here. More

Rude service From 2010 til now I have bought 3 used cars from chapman chevrolet in tempe. The first two deals the service was great. This year I bought a used nissian and I felt rushed and the service was garbage. My regret is that I bought this car that I really didn't even like. The used car manager and salesman I delta with were rudest and just wanted to close a deal. So at the end of the day shame on me for being a loyal customer. One thing for sure I will never spend a dime at chapman chevrolet in tempe again. I only gave one star because no star or negative stars was not an option. More

Highly unethical We placed a $3000 down-payment on a new Chevy Volt that was in-transit. Chapman called us about a week later to tell us that the car was in. When we arrived at the dealership, the car that we had put money on was out front, all shiny and the battery was charged. Our salesperson was 20 minutes late and we had to wait for her. When she arrived we discovered that the car out front was the one that we had put money on, but they had sold it to someone else. Apparently, there are no ethics at this car dealer. The brought in another car for us from another dealer. It was very dirty and you could see where they had started to remove the logo from the other dealer. It had 170 miles on it, so it had seen quite a few test drives. We put money on a new car, straight off of the truck. That is not what we got. They did absolutely nothing to try and make up for this. We had to drive home on gas since they didn't have time to charge our substitute car. They seemed to have plenty of time to clean and charge the one that we paid for. We are very unsatisfied and will not be going there for service and will never purchase another vehicle from Chapman. These guys are exactly the stereotype of a sleazy used car salesman. More
