MINI Purchase from Savas What a pleasant surprise to work with Savas. I was referred to him by another dealer when trying to locate a Red MINI Cooper that I had seen on TrueCa What a pleasant surprise to work with Savas. I was referred to him by another dealer when trying to locate a Red MINI Cooper that I had seen on TrueCar.com. I had been looking at MINIs all day and this was going to be my last stop before going home to consider which car to purchase. I had "no intention" of buying a car that day. However, after test-driving the red MINI and working with Savas on the price, I was convinced it was time to purchase this particular MINI. Savas treated me with respect during the entire transaction, and listened to/addressed my questions and concerns. I did not feel pressured to make a decision; however, I knew I wanted this MINI, so Savas made it happen. Even though it was near the end of the work day, Savas stayed with me through the entire transaction until the deal was closed. He then sat with me in the parking lot and helped connect my phone to the bluetooth and set up my favorite Sirius stations. I was so surprised by this - especially on a Saturday night! He was very attentive and wanted to make sure I was happy with my decision and felt comfortable driving home in my new MINI! He also followed up with me a couple of days after the sale to answer a few questions and assist me with finding a service dealer. It had been 13 years since I purchased my last vehicle and I had been dreading the experience. However, Savas alleviated any of my fears and made the sale smooth and anxiety-free. I would send any of my friends - particularly females - to Savas because of the respect he demonstrated. Thank you for a great car-buying experience! I absolutely LOVE my new red MINI. More

A I have been taking my X5 in to Chapman BMW on Camelback since purchasing my vehicle form them in 2011. I recently took my X5 in for an oil change. After receiving my vehicle back, they had not reset the lights. I took it back and asked to verify oil change. They said the tech forgot to reset the lights. I checked the oil later and found that the oil had not been changed. Also of note, since purchasing my vehicle, the from pad thickness measurement remained constant at 10mm until this last visit, which was measured at 5mm. This was less than 6 mo since last visit to dealership. I had asked about the measurement several times. The front brakes will be in need of replacing soon. Their explanation of the measurement change was the previous techs "eye balled" the pad to give a measurement. More

Overall, very good Savas was very helpful and I was very happy with the very low price of the car I bought. My only gripe is the excessive $329 "documentation fee" which Savas was very helpful and I was very happy with the very low price of the car I bought. My only gripe is the excessive $329 "documentation fee" which they charge and apparently "cannot negotiate". I understand many dealers do this but it is deceptive and does not get revealed until you sign the paperwork. I went through with the deal because the purchase price of the car was very low so overall I am very satisfied and would buy here again. More

No dealers had a car that I wanted for my budget. I still have one more month lease to go with my current Infiniti, so I was going to take some more time to look for the car that I wanted. Then, I stopped by Champman BMW and met Craig. I already knew they didn't have the car, but just wanted to check other options. Craig and Kim were very professional and found a better car, and offer the price to fit my budget. I was very satisfy with the deal. No other dealerships tried to make a deal so hard for me like Craig and Kim did. I also felt very comportable sitting with Craig and talked about cars. I would recommend Craig and Kim to anyone looking for BMW. More

I have nothing but good things to say about Savas and the dealership itself, from the moment I walked in and was greeted all the way into financing was an easy and stress free process. More

Everyone was friendly, professional and made sure we were taken care of. Joe Lena was our sales associate and he was the best car sales associate we have ever worked with. He never applied sales pressure but rather he worked to get us the best trade-in price on my 3series and the best price on my new X1, which I love. He answered all our questions was knowledgeable and was very professional. Thanks Joe! More
Bob made me smile, like he promised / Alan awesome Sales Mgr Original review written before we picked up car, now updating review with the rest of the process! I know it's a goofy title for a review, but they Original review written before we picked up car, now updating review with the rest of the process! I know it's a goofy title for a review, but they only let me type in so many words! Also, Elliott, the BMW Genius was awesome too! Well, we had been having a terrible experience trying to buy a car. It started with trying to buy a used car at Chapman's CPO store, and then gradually deciding to buy a new car. We've been all over town trying to find the right car, with the right salesperson. We almost inked a deal the night before at Scottsdale BMW, but walked out after the salesperson refused to have the car washed for us prior to signing! That car was extremely dirty following Thursday's monsoon and we just wanted to be sure there weren't any dents, scrapes or scratches due to the nature of that storm. So, left Scottsdale unhappy and arrived in front of Bob's desk 1 day later, still unhappy! Bob was extremely pleasant to deal with and did not argue with me. (Another rep at their CPO store argued with me about everything), but not Bob. Whatever my stopping points were, Bob addressed them and found a solution. He didn't argue, he fixed it. As we were armed with my pricing apps, and knowledge of the market, Bob was on board trying to make sure that he pulled together a deal that was equitable for both parties. Bob is also really laid back, so if you have anxiety about buying cars don't expect Bob to reflect that same anxiety. LOL He is calm, keeps everything together, and just operates very methodically. Then because we were concerned about having our credit ran again (we had already submitted the online application 2 weeks earlier) Alan, the Sales Manager came in and helped figure out where our info might be and he was able to retrieve the information. Alan also helped rescue our deal that night by offering to buy our old car, which we had on the internet. Bob and Alan were a great team. However, now that I have been there a few times and have seen and heard Alan stopping by to help out other buyers I must say, I think Alan is just one of those exceptional people you find in a dealership - Bob as well. Many times customers will really hold a grudge against a dealer for something that happens in that relationship out on the showroom floor. The first impression starts at the front door with the greeting, then the sales floor, then with sales management. We felt like they were partners with us in the process, not adversaries. We looked at the car late on Sunday night. Everyone stayed late, and nobody ever mentioned it was after hours. Then when we thought we hit a small snag, Alan came to the rescue and solved that for us. We were then scheduled to pick up the car the next day, so that they could get it ready. Wow, I'm amazed at everything that happened afterwards. Next day bright and early, Bob texts Alan a little "don't forget to send in that paperwork for MrsX" - they both knew I would stress out if I had to wait to hear. LOL Alan was already on top of things! I had an e-mail from Alan by 8:48 AM that we had bank approval. Where do you find that type of teamwork and customer service these days? So, at one point during the day, Alan and I are e-mailing, and I ask him if anything has changed, are we still good to go, etc. Alan replies back so eloquently "Think BMW." He was referring to the fact that we are now in a brand where we can trust them to honor their commitment. It gets better still! We arrive at 6:30 to pick up car. Walk in the showroom and our car is in the showroom. Washed, waxed, detailed - a far difference from the other place that didn't want to wash the car for me prior to signing! We sit with Bob a few moments while Alan and the lady in finance finalize a few things, get a copy our driver's license, etc and then Alan walks up, and has an even bigger surprise for us. Our interest rate came in even lower than what he said we might get approved for. Super low! Before we even go to finance, they walk us to our car and tell us to take our time making sure it is perfect. Yes, it was so perfect our only concern then was that a looming storm might be coming into the area. The storm alert we had received on our phone ended without any activity. Crisis averted. :) Then we went in to finance, which only took about 20 minutes, the lady there was very nice, and then they bring out the BMW Genius. This is the BMW Expert who sits in the car with you, walks you through all the features, pairs your phone with you, etc. Our BMW Genius was Elliott. Ask for Elliot. He is awesome. I've already had to call him 2x to get help with something I didn't know, and I called his cell phone and he picked up and helped me right away. I didn't know how to turn off the instrument panel (after leaving vehicle and locking door it will shut off) and how to turn off the ECO settings. I do want to mention that when you go into finance you will be presented with many things, and I think some of these you should have a heads up about, because these are expensive value-added customer options but because they are expensive I think they take a little more time and research to make an informed decision. BMW spends a lot of time and research to ensure the driving experience is the ultimate driving experience and they spend a lot of R&D into safety and technology for the customer. With that type of commitment in a brand towards safety and quality, it would be nice to see that same commitment extended towards letting customers know upfront what their options will be when signing in finance for these additional benefits. We did not know what we would be making a decision on, so we had to make our decisions without having done our research. Therefore, we declined everything, other than the GAP. I believe had we known about some of these options beforehand, we would have researched ahead of time and purchased. I think this is just a reflection of the overall industry that they hit you up with some last minute purchasing decisions, it's definitely not a reflection on Chapman directly, therefore I did not deduct any points for this. But I do think Chapman would see revenue increase at point-of-signing if the customer walked in with a little more knowledge, and they would be the frontrunners in the city if they established this as a protocol moving forward. As a consumer and a small business owner I find that people often make better choices, which often benefit both the customer and the business when having more available information and an opportunity to research it at their leisure, without pressure. They don't pressure you, but it's a bit stressful to know you only have that one time to be able to add some of the benefits, and that as soon as you sign the contract, you can't purchase a few of these options after the fact. That is what creates the stress. Not being able to do research appropriately beforehand and knowing you won't have another opportunity to purchase. Here is what you will be asked about in Finance: Do you want Gap Insurance? The price was $995 (we bought it but paid for it outside the loan) We bought it because when I called insurance to get quotes a few weeks earlier, they said to definitely get it unless our down payment was sizable. Do you want to purchase extended warranty? The price was over $3500 approximately. Do you want run flat tire warranty? The price is about $1600 Do you want ding repair/removal? The price was about $900 Do you want paint protection? The price was about $800 Note about the run flat tires: You get a CD with your new car purchase that has information about your tires and tire warranty. For us, our run flat tires are rated to drive up to 50 miles per hour for 50 miles. This might be important to know as some staff said they can go as long as 150 miles, but that is not the case with the tires on our new 528. So if this is important to you, make sure to read your CD when you buy your new car. The CD had many different tire vendors on there, so you will want to select your exact tire vendor to be certain. Chapman also offers a New Car Clinic 2nd Saturday of each month. We got to attend that this weekend, and it was very informative. They have snacks out, you learn about the BMW, tour the facility, see the repair shop, they gave us each a tee shirt, and you are entered into a drawing to win $500. Plus we got to see our excellent sales team one more time. They are prompt and the clinic starts right on time, so if you want to graze on some good food, make sure to show up about 15-20 minutes before the start of the clinic! In closing, it was an excellent experience purchasing our car from Chapman BMW on Camelback. Thank you Bob and Alan for your help! You have really done a lot to make us feel like we are a part of the Chapman family. You guys rock! More
