I purchased a BMW X3 from the Chapman dealership on Camelback and had a very positve experience. I would highly recommend this dealership, and my salesman, Alex Stoner, in particular. Alex was very f Camelback and had a very positve experience. I would highly recommend this dealership, and my salesman, Alex Stoner, in particular. Alex was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Alex's professionalism was exactly what I would have expected from a luxury dealership. When I brought the X3 in for minor service issues, Jon Lewis was my service advisor. Jon was great to work with. He too is very professional and knowledgeable. He returned calls promptly, explained the service to be done, and made sure the service was done to my satisfaction. All in all, I had a great experience with Camelback BMW and with these two employees in particular. More

I was surprised to see a beautiful showroom and display dedicated to pre-owned. The sales manager, Bob made me feel important and set out all the terms to work in my budget. I did not think I would ever be able to qualify for a BMW but Bob makes dreams come true. Thank You John Mastro More
Promises made during the sale of the car were never kept. One example I was told that I would get either a 5 Series or X5 as atemporary car replacement whenever I brought my 750 Li in for service. When I mention the promise that was made during the sale, they say 'just be glad you get a car to drive for free'. Another example was they would come to my house to get my car. I was told they can't do that unless it is not drivable. I bought tire/wheel insurance incase the tires became bad and needed to be replaced. Completely useless. They claim my car got a flat tire while in their possession and it needed to be replaced. I had to pay for it. They have put a dent in the door, broken the rear view mirror on the windshield and put tons of grease smudges inside the car. One would think a call to the Service Manager would get some results, but not at this dealership. I will never use this dealership again. More
We purchased a used vehicle from Chapman BMW a little over a year ago. We never had any problems with it until we noticed the passengers tire splash shield was coming loose...didnt think that much of it over a year ago. We never had any problems with it until we noticed the passengers tire splash shield was coming loose...didnt think that much of it except it needed to be tigtened or replaced. Took the vehicle in for some regular maintence and they did some work on the AC and told us that our Front Bushings were torn and needed to be replaced. I thought it was a little weird considering our car didnt have 50k on it yet. So I took it for a 2nd opinion to the shop that I work for. Well, when they looked at it they noticed that the bushings WERE worn but didnt necessarily need to be replaced and that the quote that Chapman BMW had given us way WAY over what the mark-up should have been. But what really concern the mechanic and all the other body men at my shop was the issue with the passengers side splash guard. The reason why it kept on falling off is because it wasnt properly installed (We have never done anything to the bumper or splash guard for it to do this) and that the drivers side had stayed in place b/c the previous owners or Chapman upon us purchasing the vehicle had created some sort of a makeshift bracket to hold it in place by drilling holes into the bumper and screwing it in place. It looked extremely ghetto on a 40K automobile and we had NEVER noticed it before then. We explained the situation to Chapman and they basically said "too bad" and sent us on our way with a messed up car and told us a hole bunch of crap like " we're not allowed to do this to our vehicles" and that the person that did this for us "did us a favor b/c its a $1,700 front bumper". Which to me was extemely suspicious...as well as alot of other things. We are now taking this issue up with BMW Corporate Offices. I stongly recommend that anyone purchasing a used vehicle from this dealership take into strong consideration that they could be taking advantage of you to save themselves $1,700 dollars on a $40,000 car sale. I recently took my bmw to have it looked at before the car hit the 50k mark. I told the salesperson (Last name is Levin) to make sure they they inspected everything and to cover everything under warranty car hit the 50k mark. I told the salesperson (Last name is Levin) to make sure they they inspected everything and to cover everything under warranty they could. I even told him to take care of me and I would take care of him. I purchased the car used with 49k miles from a private property, so I just wanted to be sure it was in good condition. I also asked him to look at the fluids to see if they were in good condition. So I pick up my car and I am driving to las vegas. On the way there, my tire in the rear explodes. So now I am stuck on the side of the highway at 12:00 AM at night. I am about 100 miles from Las Vegas. I have waited 2 hours for a tow. I dont have a spare in my car because they dont put them in there for weight reasons. I then get towed to a dealership in Henderson NV (lucky for me it wasnt back to az but they tow you to the closest dealership). The dealership in Henderson tells me that they should have not have left you drive with the tires in the rear being like that because its unsafe. So 2 days later, then my battery dies. So now I am jumping my car to get to point a to point b. I am really annoyed. Did these idiots even look at my car? Lastly, the SA (last name Levin) tries to sell me a maintenance package for like $1600 but it retails for $1,200. I guess he considered me a sucker. He tries to sell me a warranty package that sells for $2300 for $3300. I find this out from a friend who has the same bmw. I deal with a girl named Megan at BMW CHAPMAN (MCDOWELL). She sells these to me at cost (the dealers make money when you bring the cars to them so they dont need to mark them up) When i get back from my trip, I call the service advisor manager (I dont remember his name) and tell him my problem. Its pretty safe to say that the SA (levin) got in trouble. His gave me a new battery and apologized for the inconvience. I was pretty happy except they did not want to change the steering wheel cover because it was not under warranty anymore. A woman was driving my car and they are supposed to cover wear and tear on the car. They finally did change it after I made some noise. I dont think i should have to make noise about somethinng they should of did when i was under warranty. Lastly, I highly recommend a service advisor buy the name of Ryan. His is a nice guy who seems to be on top of his stuff. He is very polite. I am not sure if I trust them doing the service on my car, but will give them one more chance. If they scew it up, i will let everyone know. More

I hve bought four new cars in my life. This was by far the worst experience. I live in California, but the only car with the options I wanted happened to be at this dealership, Chapman BMW on Camelbac the worst experience. I live in California, but the only car with the options I wanted happened to be at this dealership, Chapman BMW on Camelback. All the local dealerships were friendly and reasonable with me. The one that located this car said they could get it for me on a dealership trade, something that is quite routine. After several days, they apologized that the car was unavailable because it had been sold by Camelback BMW. This was a plain lie--the story continues. I called Camelback BMW and spoke to Ben Majidi, the Internet sales manager. He told me the car was *not* sold, but then the best word to describe his attitude is "toxic." I felt like I had to hold the phone at arm's length from my ear, to mitigate his spewing rudeness. He was impossible to negotiate with reasonably. Next, I called a contact at a different BMW dealership near me. Again, he said he could get the car for me. Again, he apologized a couple if days later that Camelback BMW had said the car had been sold. Again, this was a lie. I called Camelback BMW again on a different phone number. This time I reached a perfectly friendly salesman named Glenn Sullivan, and I reached a deal with him to buy the car. I gave a credit card deposit and he faxed me written confirmation of the deal. Glenn also told me I would get a special Arizona three-day permit and I would have three days to drive the car back to California and register it here. What happened next? Glenn called me back and reneged. He said his manager thought the price we had negotiated was too low and they might sell the car to someone else before me. Of course, they did not succeed in selling the car at a higher price, so I arrived the following Saturday to buy the car. The car was fine, but the finance manager surprised me by asking me to pay Arizona sales tax. Glenn had never mentioned this, and I thought registering it in California meant paying tax there. The finance manager was unpleasant and unapologetic. So was the general manager. Both managers looked me in the eye and assured me I would not have to pay tax in both states. However, both cynically refused to put their statements in writing. They lived up to all the worst car salesman stereotype: making promises but refusing to be bound by them. At the time I am writing this, I still don't know if they were telling the truth. Glenn was completely mistaken about the "three day permit." It turns out I have a 90 day temporary Arizona permit, and I can't register the car where I live until Arizona sends me the title; the sales people couldn't say when this will happen. Camelback BMW dies frequent out-of-state sales, but they don't know what the laws regarding them are, and they don't care. Good customer service requires good knowledge and making customers feel comfortable; Carmine Grassi (Camelback general manager) and his staff don't care about this. Two final negative notes: The car I bought had pre-installed low-quality window tinting, which is not recommended by BMW, for which Camelback BMW wanted me to pay $289. They still live in the old days of dealer-installed garbage addons that are just hidden profit for them. Similarly, they add on a "junk fee" of $259 for so-called documentation to the final price that they say is non-negotiable, another lie. More
