I have purchased many BMW's over the years (now 72 years old), and have dealt with maybe a dozen BMW dealers in California, Oregon, Washington and Arizona. I prefer to buy CPO cars due to BMW's CPO pr years old), and have dealt with maybe a dozen BMW dealers in California, Oregon, Washington and Arizona. I prefer to buy CPO cars due to BMW's CPO program. I rate Chapman's BMW as the very best I have ever dealt with and the transaction to buy my 335i as the easiest and smoothest one to date. JC and his manager, Tom answered all questions, took immediate care of an issue we noticed on a test drive, and worked hard to get me the exact deal I was looking for. I couldn't be happier. Chapman BMW is my BMW dealer choice he next time I'm looking for a BMW. More
This was by far the best car buying experience that we have ever had. Savas was very intelligent about the cars that were available to us and helped us find the right car that would fit our needs. He even have ever had. Savas was very intelligent about the cars that were available to us and helped us find the right car that would fit our needs. He even suggested a smaller, less expensive model that would fit our family better! He is obviously more concerned about getting it right for the customer than padding his commissions. He also allowed us to make the decision on our own and never once pressured us. A great experience from beginning to end! More
I've already spoken to the service department adviser and received an apology but I'm still bothered by my experience. Having had my car towed into the service area to have a battery replaced it had to and received an apology but I'm still bothered by my experience. Having had my car towed into the service area to have a battery replaced it had to sit for three days due the Labor Day Weekend. That was fine, it was a holiday. But when I received a car three days later telling me that the starter on my car couldn't be replaced until I could prove the car was actually mine and wasn't stolen because the documentation was inaccurate that was found in the glove box. I was told that I would have to contact the DMV and get a copy of the registration, fax a copy of my drivers license to the service department before work could be done. When I told them that the registration and insurance info was in the car when it was towed, I was informed that no that wasn't the case and in fact the paperwork showed that a 328i model 2010 rather than a 328i 2009 and additional paperwork found that I had never seen. I told them that I bought the car from them and it had only been serviced by them so I didn't know what paperwork they had but it didn't make any sense to me. I asked if they had looked at my license plate and was told, "No, I'm not anywhere near your car right now but again I can't order the part without proper registration". I was leaving town the next day, had no car to get to the DMV which they weren't going to give me a copy without a charge plus a delay of up to two weeks. I was upset, crying and having no idea what to do next. Then, the call came in from Bobby, The paperwork had been found...in the glove compartment....in my car. Problem had been, the mechanic had confused two grey 328i bmw's sitting in the service dept. So I asked Bobby if they only worked on BMW's and how could they confuse these cars and why did they not look further into the possible confusion since there were two silver sedans parked next to each other before calling the customer putting the responsibility totally on me. I was told by Dan that a number is always placed on the car during work to avoid problems like this. My comment was, obviously someone partied a little too hardy over the Labor Day weekend and should have called in sick that Tuesday. This was very upsetting to me...I am a widow and my husband always took care of our cars. I hate to imagine what my husband would have said if he had received this call from the service department. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have been a pleasant conversation. Just for the record, I like my BMW and I liked the last BMW. No plans to change dealerships but just needed to vent my frustrations and it's now been nearly two weeks since i picked up my car with the new battery it needed not the starter that Bobby wanted to order. I am very hard to please, so I also believe these two tidbits of information will help you understand how it is easy for me to write and explain the exceptional service I received at this particular dealership. So please sit back, grab a doughnut, and my personal favorite coffee....Starbucks as I explain in detail why I am writing this. I had a 328i BMW coupe. I wanted a convertible more than winning a spot on the game show "The Price is Right!" That should give you some idea or clue about how I started my quest in the beginning of June of this year. I went to plenty of dealerships and every single time......I heard the same line like I could cast a line in a movie for Morgan Freeman..."You have way to much negative equity, and your car is only worth blah, blah, blah, blah blah!" I said to each and every dealership.....and I am not joking when I say I went to five of them, "You jokers are acting like I am trading in a Ford Pinto from an old Burt Reynolds movie." Of course I received the same proverbial sentence I could recite verbatim at the end of every visit....."That is pretty funny, April, do you mind if we call you April?" I felt like saying...well let me keep it ladylike and professional, but I am sure most anyone could fill in the words if we were playing the game, Madlibs, from back in the day. All I wanted to do was make a deal, and where in the heck was my Bob Parker.....yes, I know Drew Carey is running the show now, but to me Bob is and will always be the man with the plan to win. Which leads me to my next encounter. I am not lying when I tell you fate must have intervened because just when I was ready to throw in the towel....Savas called me, and we began to talk about what I was trying to do. This is honestly no lie. Savas was kind, considerate, and very enthusiastic about making my dreams come true of picturing my hair in the wind with the top down on my convertible, and yes my green tea latte!!!! Savas told me to come down to the dealership, at my earliest convenience, and my husband and I did. Savas assured me he would work hard for me, and it would take some time, but he would keep me in the loop of what was going on. He did take us on a test drive of the 128i, and I fell in love like a girl with her wedding dress! The only thing was.......we needed a car miracle......and this is where Mr. Bob Cola comes into the picture. I came down to the dealership, on my own accord, and Savas said they had a champagne convertible that just came in. I said....."Isn't that the code word for brown?" Savas was extremely sweet and said "It just came in, so let me see if it is there." Low and behold I saw gold.....Savas and I took a test drive....I loved the car and thought "Well, the color could grow on me." Savas said he would get back to me. Since I had so much......yup, you guessed it, NEGATIVE EQUITY....with my car, Savas said Bob Cola would have to get involved in this deal. Savas also told me Bob remembered me from our last deal when I received my 328i and he also remembered I liked Starbucks too. Pretty good memory Mr. Cola....I will give you that, especially since he deals with a lot of customers. Bob knew I would not be happy with the champagne colored convertible, and he told me he would go into his stash of great cars in South Carolina and get me a car I would be beyond happy with. Well this deal took a little while and I think, if I am not mistaking, he must of called in favors from every person he knew! I seriously am not kidding you when I tell you this. Mr. Cola called me, and trust me I wanted that convertible so bad I think he almost had to put me on "America's Most Wanted," and ask John Walsh himself to call me and tell me to stop stalking Bob for this deal. Well......my Bob Parker made me a deal, and called me on Wednesday, September fourth at around twelve fourteen. He said the only thing he was working on was trying to get BMW to make the loan longer for me, and we started to talk about the payments and the time frame and I was able to do it on the six year scene instead of eighty four months. Mr. Bob Cola treated me like I was Donald Trump's wife....Melania, trying to get this car. To make my happy ending of winning the "Showcase showdown," I GOT THE CAR!!!!!! I have to say even when things got a little bumpy in the financing room.....Bob came in and made it right. I mean honestly.....what person who wants to sell cars says to you..."I understand you need to feel comfortable with this deal April." Mr. Cola made me feel comfortable and so did James the finance person. I have never experienced a very important part of a management team helping me. I am sure Mr. Cola does deal with people who could buy a BMW 7 series with enough cash to buy a couple of luxury casinos in Las Vegas. He treated a fifth grade teacher with the same tenacity and bank account of a self made multimillionaire. He put in more work and favors than Donald Trump does on a bad day. Thank you Mr. Cola.....words can not express my sincere gratitude. Now let me not forget the David Copperfield of sales when it comes to Savas. He took the time to connect my phone with my car, and hooking me up with satellite while we were on the road test driving this hot little beamer!!! Savas and Bob made you feel like family coming over to a family barbecue, only you are surrounded by BMW's. I woke up this morning at 5:00 to go to work with the top down, on my way to Starbucks, and no matter what kind of day it was going to be bad or good, a convertible makes any day better. That is according to me and Bill Withers and I believe him when he says..."It is going to be a lovely day, lovely day." In closing, I would buy a car from this dealership in a heartbeat. Savas did not pressure you in any way, and only wanted me to be happy. He was extremely helpful, and did everything he could to make the deal move like silk. Bob did so much leg work I think he deserves an Olympic BMW medal. Thank you both for making me a happy car owner. More
Look at the numbers very carefully before making the purchase. They are very sneaky and tricky. Typical car salesmen. From the start Savas was very committed to making sure we were taken care of. The follow up was incredible and all requirements were clear. Moving into financing the vehicle Lyle went above and beyond to get were taken care of. The follow up was incredible and all requirements were clear. Moving into financing the vehicle Lyle went above and beyond to get us exactly where we wanted to be. There was no uneasy feeling when leaving in our car that we were just another number. My wife wanted to lease a mid sized vehicle, somewhere between the MINI and the dually truck we currently have. She had her eyes set on an Audi Q5, but after a few not so good experiences at a local deale between the MINI and the dually truck we currently have. She had her eyes set on an Audi Q5, but after a few not so good experiences at a local dealership I was able to convince her to check out the X1 or X3, neither of which she was particularly fond of due to the "crease" in the middle of the rear hatch. We had an E39 540i M Sport that sacrificed itself to protect us in a t-bone accident, so we were familiar with the marque. We arrived at Chapman BMW on Camelback this past Wednesday morning with the intent of just getting a feel for the vehicles, and seeing if my wife can overlook the crease that made it not as "cute" as the Q5. We started out in the front lot, and eventually made our way into the showroom. While we were looking at a gorgeous Deep Sea Blue Metallic X335i M Sport we were approached by Craig Rusin, who introduced himself and asked if we had any questions. Having spent some time in the luxury car business, I don't have much tolerance for incompetent or sleazy/pushy salespeople. My wife can't stand the sleazy pushy ones either, but that didn't seem to be a problem once we had met and chatted with Craig. From there on we test drove a X128i M Sport, then a X328i, attempted a X328i M Sport custom build, and eventually ended up with a bare bones X128i M Sport that was perfect, besides for the lack of xenon headlights. Craig was extremely helpful/knowledgeable with a great sense of humor and is a true car guy who loves what he's doing. What's even better was that while describing certain functions and sounds he didn't use the technical terms, which helped my wife enjoy the process even more as he was "speaking her language". We got a few rebates and a bit more off MSRP for the car, and while I knew there was more wiggle room, we enjoyed the six (!) hour long process with Craig so much that it was well worth it. We had so much fun we didn't even realize we were there so long until our stomachs were growling and we checked the clock. While my wife still doesn't care for the rear of the car, she said as long as Craig is still at BMW, the next vehicle will be a BMW just so that she could work with him again. The sales experience wasn't completely perfect however, since we cannot say the same about the finance guy Michael Keys who was kinda rude/pushy/sleazy, but if that's who we have to work with just so that we could work with Craig again, it would be worth it.
