Dear Hollywho131 The way you spell things out here it sounds like we really don’t know an engine from a lug nut. Why does the explanation by the two Toyota dealerships you have gone to not seem to matter or have any relevance to getting your car fixed? The reason your misfire code comes up and your car goes into shut down mode is because your car shakes so bad at high speeds that it thinks it has an engine problem and tries to fix itself by cutting power. Why does the car shake so bad at high speeds???? IT HAS BAD TIRES ON IT! So, if you want to drive your car at a higher rate of speed you will need to replace the tires or the car will go into limp mode. We did call Legends Toyota and they claim they said the same thing to you??? If you would check with some of your co-workers in the service group at Toyota Financial Services, they might very well verify what two other dealers have tried to explain to you; replacing your tires will fix your engine misfire codes.
