We were in the market for a used car, found one on Carmax, had extremely low mileage, (according the website, 7,475 mile) so we reserved it. We had already gotten pre-approved through our CU, but when we called to go see it, the girl on the phone kept trying to connect us to their "finance" people. We went there,and looked at the car, it was nice, although the salesman didn't have the keys so we could test drive it (and, incidentally, couldn't check the actual mileage), but we handshook, and went home. Monday morning we contacted the CU, and they had received the paperwork from Carmax, and the actual mileage on the car was almost twice what they had stated on their website!!! And, on top of that, NADA.com had the fair purchase price of it as almost $3000 less than what Carmax was selling the car for. Our CU would not finance that large of a difference, so we called over to Carmax to speak to our salesman. He was off that day (after the receptionist not knowing who we were talking about, then putting us on hold for 10 minutes), so we asked to speak to another salesman so we could see if we could get the purchase price down. After sitting on hold for 25 minutes, my husband was told that they "do not haggle", period. They are overcharging for cars and pushing their financing options. Stay away, far away. More
Is it possible to leave 0 stars? I wanted to sell my vehicle so I completed their online offer. Once I received the offer I actually called to make sure it was legitimate before I took off work to make vehicle so I completed their online offer. Once I received the offer I actually called to make sure it was legitimate before I took off work to make the 3 + hour trip. When I arrived for my appointment, the offer was reduced by over $5,000!!! This vehicle is a one owner, with a clean Carfax, only 9,000 mi, and it is in nearly perfect condition. They really did not give me a reason why the offer was reduced so heavily, other than the fact the van had a professional wrap installed ... which can be professionally removed for $150-$200. So I wasted a day, put more miles on the vehicle, and had additional fuel costs. Needless to say, I'm not satisfied customer and will not be back. Ever. Let me be clear. My associate's name was Ronnie. He was very nice and polite. This review should not reflect on him in any way. More
This company is a legit scam. Stick with carvana. They literally ran my credit, and they state that they have to run it again for another vehicle. The car you get is not the car in the stock photos. The 1st car I bought broke down on my way home. The 2nd car I bought still has problems. Back in Mid April, had a Toyota Highlander sent from another state to Rochester, NY. After few weeks with no update-called and told it would be a few more weeks due to title issue. Then after a few weeks turned into months, they call at end of June. Good it’s finally ready.. I come in and as I’m LITERALLY PAYING for it an associate -Josh- grabs the keys and starts showing it so some lady who’s got nothing nice to say about it. If the car has been in your lot for months and you know it’s reserved- WHY ARE YOU LETTING OTHER PEOPLE sit in it? My husbands upset and clearly I am too. The whole experience made it feel like no one cares one way or another. Rude, Inconsiderate, Unprofessional. I will tell everyone I know not to come here. So awful. More
Horrible experience. My daughter reserved a car and paid to have it shipped to Turnersville NJ. After 10 days we checked on the cars status and was advised the vehicle had arrived and was being prepped. A f to have it shipped to Turnersville NJ. A few days later we were told they couldnt locate the car and untimely told it was sold in Florida. The manager refused to speak with me and I was told to contact customer service. Customer service apologized but did nothing to rectify the situation. This was my daughters first car purchase and was a horrible experience. More

I requested autopsy at the dealership level which I was promised to no avail, ultimately, every month I requested autopay through customer service, to no success I also logged on and attempted to connect to autopay on my own and everytime I would receive a system error. Carmax gave a 30 day late being 1 day late, i advised carmax of the problem, i was willing to disclose a impeccable credit history to prove that I take my credit history serious. Carmax refused help, I received condescending phone calls to make light of Carmax error after several complaints and requests for escalating the problem, the same customer service rep refused to escalate the issue! I wouldn’t recommend carmax to my enemy!!! More
