The poor guy stayed for the entire deal, even though it went past closing time and it was obvious he wasn't feeling well. We went in to see a vehicle showing as an online deal and they said was still available. They did not do any bait-and-switch, which many places do on those deals (suddenly just sold before you come in). They pulled it into a lighted, covered bay for us to look at it; which was really nice, because it was raining, windy and dark outside. They do not have the one-person approach, like many do now, but they pay their salesmen a regular wage/salary; so we did not get any high-pressure sales tactics. The purchase came with a 2-year maintenance contract at no additional cost, which thrilled me. Overall, we are very pleased with Capitol Chevrolet. More

Horrible experience buying a used car My sister-in-law and I bought a used BMW with less than 54,000 miles from Mario, Dan and Mike at Capitol Chevrolet Cadillac in Salem, OR on 1/8/2019. My sister-in-law and I bought a used BMW with less than 54,000 miles from Mario, Dan and Mike at Capitol Chevrolet Cadillac in Salem, OR on 1/8/2019. A pre purchase inspection was performed at the Salem BMW dealer and a few maintenance issues were found. This, of course, is to be expected when buying any used car. One issue, however, was an error with the adaptive headlight. As an owner of many German vehicles over the years, I know headlight assemblies can be in the $2000-$3000 range to replace. A bad headlight assembly would have been a deal breaker for this car. Mike asked me to wait a bit, and pulled the car into their service bay. It was returned to the front of the dealership 45 minutes later. Mike assured me that the headlight was fixed and the problem was only a $50 OEM bulb. Unfortunately, while driving home the adaptive headlight malfunction warning light came on. I scheduled the next available service appointment with my local certified BMW mechanic and when the car was looked over, they determined the entire assembly was not in proper working condition, is a road hazard and needs replacing at the cost of $2,789. Additionally, the car was sold with wheel lock lug nuts installed with no key. They need to be drilled off at the risk of harming my wheels. The oil change performed by Capitol caused the oil plug to be stripped and the car is now leaking oil. Yes, i did sign an 'as is' disclosure when buying the car, but since Mike assured me the headlight was fixed, i was comfortable with paying the agreed upon price... accounting for the maintenance issues. They expressed initial concern when contacted with these issues, but have been non responsive since. Stay away from buying a used car from Capitol Chevrolet Cadillac in Salem! More
What a joke We walked into this dealership with a car picked out and a 1 year old child. We were met by an intern who was nice but not very knowledgeable. The person in charge of the intern was a salesmen named Eric Pelleschi. Eric let our intern start the process but didn’t really help him out much... our intern was very slow at entering our data and filled out a few forms wrong which left us sitting and waiting for hours. We told them we had a pre approval from a credit union and asked them not to do any hard pulls on our credit.. they kindly agreed then pulled our credit 4 times! After. Hours go by and we are still waiting for the paperwork to be drawn up Eric asks us to help him and go online and give him a five star rating. After we gave the rating he went on his phone to make sure and pointed out to my husband that his re view wasn’t on there and asked him to enter it again. We sign the paperwork and get out after 5.5 hours with a baby now in meltdown. They only gave us one key fob and they gave us barely enough gas to make it home. When we called and ask about the second key Eric said he would look into it, when my husband asked more questions he said ok thanks when my husband was mid sentence hung up on him. we were going to let it be but the final straw was when they asked us what DMV to send the plates to we told them and they sent them to the wrong one. My husband and I both had to leave work early to meet and sign for the plates and they weren’t even there. More
