We went to the pre-owned side, which had a great atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly and laid back. Angie was a great saleswoman, incredibly knowledgeable about trucks and cars. Despite a recent repossession and credit issues, Ernest was able to help me get into a “new to me” vehicle. Not once did he make me feel embarrassed or ashamed about my situation. I had previously been dealing with another Chevy dealer and felt like the salesman didn’t want to help me because of my credit. Ernest helped me get a vehicle that fit all my needs. We've had good experiences with Capitol Chevrolet in the past, but our latest was less than spectacular. Our 2018 Tahoe required service for a seized engine and was towed in mid-December to the agency. I ha past, but our latest was less than spectacular. Our 2018 Tahoe required service for a seized engine and was towed in mid-December to the agency. I had originally suspected a problem with the starter before delivery. The vehicle remained in storage or outside till early January 2021, and after repeated calls to then manager Dean or Dane, I discovered he had either quit or been fired. There was no attempt to contact me about this problem. I then called to find out who would be in charge, and was introduced to a Abel, a polite and professional manager who apologized for the lack of communication and delays in service. Eventually, the vehicle was labeled as ready last week, and since I was out of town, had asked my son to pick it up. When he arrived at Capitol Chevrolet, he was told it was not ready due to paperwork issues (something to do with making sure the dealership was being paid for warranty coverage). I was also informed by Abel that, indeed, the starter had been the cause, and had been replaced. I do not blame Abel or the last mechanic to correctly diagnose and repair the vehicle. But there has been a breakdown in the service pathway at Capitol. To discover that Dane or Dean, whoever he was, had left without any notification to his customers, was totally irresponsible. And I might also add that some of your receptionists need training on politeness in phone protocol. It is a difficult job, am sure burnout is common. But there is no excuse for terse or rude manners. I have yet to drive the automobile, and look forward to its proper function. I thank Abel for his assistance and will recommend him to my friends and family. More
