I went in to look at the vehicles in there used lot(for reference I bought another used vehicle not even a year prior at a 6.55 APR this vehicle was a total loss after a wreck and paid off) i loved one of there vehicles(2025 Hyundai Tucson) and we went to finance to get numbers and they gave me a 13% APR and when i declined to proceed due to payments being above my budget they told me that it was my credit and i wouldn't get anything lower anywhere else and that the banks don't think the vehicle would hold its value in say a year or two so i passed on the vehicle and went to a different dealership the next week and bought a 2025 Buick encore gx with a 6.44APR I don't know why they would get a rate so high but it was ridiculous and unprofessional to make me feel bad about not wanting a $600 car payment.

0 STARS if Google allowed it. BUYER BEWARE. Purchased a 2024 Malibu from Chevrolet Bastrop in March 2026. Within ONE WEEK, it developed a concerning engine/dashboard noise and required a dealership repair and loaner. By May, the front bumper paint was peeling off in large sections. In July, the AC stopped working. An independent shop found a crushed A/C discharge hose, misaligned hood/bumper, and concerns consistent with previous accident-related damage that wasn’t reported on Carfax. When we brought these findings to Chevrolet Bastrop, we felt the independent inspection was dismissed because they insisted their own inspection had been thorough. Then we left an honest review. James contacted us and made it clear that getting help with the vehicle was tied to removing our review. We reluctantly removed it because we wanted the problems addressed. During the trade-in discussions, James even joked about “junking” the Malibu if we chose that option. We were ultimately looking at either keeping a vehicle we no longer trust or rolling negative equity into another vehicle with a payment around $644/month, versus our original payment under $500. Cars can have problems. How a dealership handles those problems tells you everything. Do your OWN inspection. Research beyond Carfax. Get everything in writing. I would NOT buy from Chevrolet Bastrop again.

Chevrolet claims total customer satisfaction is important to them. Their mission statement also states to provide the highest level of service. In my opinion you won't find either at this dealership. I went by there for an orientation on my navigation system and was rudely interrupted by a small man claiming to be the Big Boss. His name was Matt . He was rude, intrusive in the conversation I was having with another employee, clearly showing his lack of class or character. This dealership and Chevrolet should be ashamed of his behavior.
