I purchased my vehicle from Capital Chevrolet July 2021. The car was used and knowing this, I purchased an extended warranty to cover the costs of any repairs. Well I have had to have several repairs done t The car was used and knowing this, I purchased an extended warranty to cover the costs of any repairs. Well I have had to have several repairs done to this car and even though I was told the warranty would cover everything including a new key fob if needed, this has not been the case. I had to pay for repairs to replace the gas cap back in July. I also am concerned that the engine issues I am having right now are not covered. I will never purchase another vehicle new or used from this dealership as the customer service is lacking. When I called today, as I sat beside the road in my non-working vehicle, I was not connected to a finance manager or anyone that could give me insight on my warranty. I was not expecting anyone to fix my car at this dealership as this is not their specialty, but I did expect someone to have the courtesy to contact me and supply the information I asked for. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. More
UNREASONABLE COST OF SERVICE: Today I took my Silverado to Capital Chevrolet for a routine oil change/tire rotation. This is where I bought my Silverado and where I have taken it for the majority of its s to Capital Chevrolet for a routine oil change/tire rotation. This is where I bought my Silverado and where I have taken it for the majority of its service. I did not ask for (nor was I offered) a price quote prior to the routine service. At the time of payment, the cost was $152. I stated to the service writer that $152 seemed high. The service writer responded, "we've had a price increase recently". I checked the receipts from my last three routine oil changes/tire rotations. Two (performed at the same dealership) were $96-108. One (performed at AAA) was $67. I carried two of these prior receipts back to the service writer and showed them to her. She responded, "we've had a price increase recently". After returning home, I checked on the cost of the same service (with 8 quart synthetic) at two other Chevrolet dealerships in the Raleigh/Durham area, to see if the other dealerships were experiencing similar price increases. These two local dealerships quoted that the cost of the same service today at their dealerships is $86-100. Therefore, Capital Chevrolet, after their "recent price increases", appears to be charging about 1.5-2 times more than other comparable, local Chevrolet dealerships for routine oil changes/tire rotations. That seems unreasonable. More

I drove a hour in a half to look at a 2005 ssr. I wanted to drive it I was asked what did I want to do I told the sales person I was going to put a thousand dollar down and come back and pay cash I wanted to drive it I was asked what did I want to do I told the sales person I was going to put a thousand dollar down and come back and pay cash.salesman acted like it was a big deal to get it out of the show room. Finally got it out I drove it and bought it. There was a key missing to lock the top .hard top convertable. He told me he would get me a key. Never received it or a call. Just recently I called to talk to finance manager about the extended warranty. Called 3 times left messages. No call back. I will not recommend this dealership to anybody. More
Capital Chevrolet Last Wednesday night, my brand new Tahoe purchased at the end of July 2022 suffered an electrical malfunction resulting in the car dying (while the radio, on full-blast with no way to Tahoe purchased at the end of July 2022 suffered an electrical malfunction resulting in the car dying (while the radio, on full-blast with no way to control the volume, the speedometer panel going blank, as well as many other electrical outages) in a major intersection, where I was certain I and my little boy were going to die that evening-as the train roared by, cars beeped, people screamed obscenities, and I was unable to move my new car. In the 9 days since you have had my vehicle night, the following has occurred : 1. The service side of the dealership does not return calls, will not keep me informed of the repairs night being made, and has refused to give me a list of all repair needs of the car. 2. Capital Chevrolet will not provide a loaner vehicle or pay for a rental. They have my money, I have no transportation for I and my four children. 3. I asked for you @capitalchevrolet to take the car back because as of now, this car is not safe for myself or my children. Capital Chevrolet will not pay fair market value for the car that they sold to me. 4. My child has had nightmares and has struggled to sleep since this very traumatizing event. He has been seen twice by the pediatrician because of this event. 5. Multiple calls to the GM Casey Best and Service Director @troy taylor continue to be ignored with no response. As dealership of the year, your customer service should be above average. It has been atrocious. In good faith, I purchased a brand new vehicle from you. I even tried calling the salesman, the finance manager and the manager. I could get a hold of a single person. Now I see why. More
