My husband and I visited Safford RV on Friday, March 22nd, 2013 in search of a used travel trailer. We were immediately greeted by a warm and personable gentleman, Greg Berry. Greg listened to what we were looking for and immediately showed us a variety of trailers that we may be interested in. Greg is quite knowledable of the inventory and was very patient with us. He was not pushy at all and very laid back which made our visit very comfortable. We were undecided on what we actually wanted by the end of the time spent with Greg. He said, no problem, I will keep my eyes out for what you are looking for and will contact you later in a couple of days. On Saturday, March 23rd, we revisited Safford and Greg. We had narrowed down what we were looking for and looked at 3 campers to determine which one we would like to own. We chose a trailer and then began negotiating. Greg has the patience of a Saint! He kept us busy chatting about the area and we were very impressed with Greg. Even though we did not buy and left, he still remained positive and stated he would keep looking for what we want and would stay in touch. On Sunday, March 24th, 2013, we visited Safford again and met with Greg. We accepted the terms for the purchase. Greg again shared his knowledge about the camper and answered other questions while we waited for the paperwork to be processed. We finalized the deal and walked away very happy from Safford. Greg Berry is a true asset to Safford RV and is the only reason we probably made the purchase at Safford. We would highly recommend him to our friends and family who may want to pursue other recreational vehicles at Safford. More
I am sad to have to do this, but Safford RV has earned this review. In 2012 My wife and I purchased a new RV from them at an RV show in Richmond. The Finance Officer was rude, condescending and pompous, the service people were sarcastic, and the final delivery people acted like they were rushed, although NO ONE ELSE was there. One year later I traded the RV in on a larger one from another dealership, not wishing to return to Safford RV. I purchased a new EasyCare policy (basically "free money" for the dealership if nothing goes wrong, but I like the odds), and was told by the new dealership that I would have to cancel my old one. I called EasyCare, and they said I had to contact the dealer directly. True to form, I called the dealership twice in three days, each time being told that the Finance person would call me back, and then I was told the third time I called that it didn't matter when I cancelled it, I wouldn't lose any of my refund because of the delay. I STILL got no call back. I waited two weeks, and then called them again, telling them if I did not hear back from them I would come up there and make a scene. The operator told me I couldn't talk to her like that, and put me on hold for the General Manager, who then put me to voice mail. I left him one, all right! I told him the same thing. About 5 minutes later, a "minion" called me back, and said she would e-mail me the form that I could fill out to get my refund. She e-mailed me a .jpg file, looks like she took a picture with her cell phone. OK... I copied the photo into Word, printed it, photocopied it as it was gray, scanned it to a .pdf and sent it in. I only hope I get my money back, and wish to have no more to do with this dealership. More to add, the general manager called me when he heard I was going to write this review - he called trying to appease me, but when a person talks over you when you are talking, it just adds to the frustration. Get real, people! One more update, The Finance Manager called to chide me about not following proper procedure to get my refund, although it is still unclear what that procedure was. Finally got the refund, anyway. Yay. I am astounded at the arrogance of people at this dealership. I am just an average person, living in an average place, but I don't expect to be treated like I am a beggar, as I am not. Yikes! More
Our first visit to Stafford was very informative thanks to Clyde Parks, He made numerous trips with us out in the Cold to look at and re-look at any rv's we wanted. He was very knowledable and answered every question we had (and we had a lot of questions). Even when we changed our mind on our purchase he said no problem and we continued our new purchase. Noah also was very helpful and listened to our needs and questions and quickly gave us the answer. This is the best experience I have ever had in purchasing a vehicle, I would heartly recommend Stafford and Clyde to anyone I know who is looking for an RV. More
Fred was great we went in 3 or 4 times looking for and getting information he did not pressure us and was sure to give us all of the information that we requested. I found him to be knowledgeable about all of the different manufacturers that we looked at, and when I started asking technical questions if he didn't know the answer off the top of his head he went to the techs to get the correct information. Overall he was very friendly, outgoing, and never tried to "blow smoke" if you know what I mean. I would recommend this dealership, Fred, and Sherry to both friends and family. They treated us great and made sure we were happy with the RV we purchased and the terms of the deal. More
I brought my RV here for service because it was closer to my home and I thought I would give them a try. Read reviews and it seemed like they were a good service center. I am glad I did try them and was very satisified with their work. They always called me and kept me informed and I did not have to use voice mail all the time. An actual person was there to talk to and explain my repairs in detail. I was also very impressed with the fact that when I dropped off and picked up my unit someone was available to help me hitch and unhitch and also park the unit. This was very helpful to me because I was alone when I dropped the unit off. I have never received this type of help at any other dealership where I have had service performed. I was also very pleased with the quality of their work. I already have another appointment set up in the spring to have some additional maintenance performed before going out on the road. I would definitely recommend their service department and will probably consider purchasing a new RV from them in the future if I decide to upgrade my current unit. More

There were some issues that showed a lack of communication both within Safford and with us. First of all, the wrong unit was listed on the bill of sale. That took 2 weeks to resolve properly, although i still do not have an accurate bill of sale. When we came to pick up the unit, we were asked, for the first time, for an insurance binder. My agent in the OBX has given me a quote, but apparently has not sent anything to Safford, yet Safford never pursued the issue. If we had not prepaid for the RV, we would have driven 4 hours for NOTHING. That's not the right way to do business. As I said, I still don't have a proper bill of sale with the correct VIN number. I expected to have to get my title here in NC, but found out that Safford is going to get me a NC Title along with hard license plates. That's very nice, but someone should have said that earlier. Of course, without a proper bill of sale, I couldn't have done anything in NC anyway. Just a point of information. Doug was FANTASTIC in going over the features of the RV. He also fixed a few items that were noted during this inspection. We drove the RV back to NC and are very pleased so far. More
I have been dealing with RV service depts for over 10 years and this is by far the best! Their service dept customer service is outstanding - you don't have to talk to an answer machine or leave a messa years and this is by far the best! Their service dept customer service is outstanding - you don't have to talk to an answer machine or leave a message which is never returned. They show concern for your problems. You're not just another number to them! I took a chance and drove the extra 30 miles from my regular dealer to give them a try and I'm glad I did. More
Bought a new unit in March of 2012 and had a great year with it. Had a great experience with the dealership and everyone who worked there. Picked the unit up in the rain but they still took the time to go with it. Had a great experience with the dealership and everyone who worked there. This is the fourth trailer I bought but the first from Safford, when the time comes for another one I will be back. More

Once again we went in to look this time at I have wanted a pop up camper for years but always ended up leaving due to getting chased by Sales people. Once again we went in to look this time at safford rv. Seeing that the pop ups were on sale but closed this time of year we asked if they could raise a few. They did more then a few. we were introduced to Bryan Lehman he was great! Friendly, not pushy just there for all our ?. Then went in to see what kind of great price they could give us even thou on sale. They did and I finally got a camper. Then we sat with Ashley whom was great for financing. I would highly recommend Safford RV if you are like us,never buy due to getting chased around the lot to buy. Called about a few items in camper after home and opened at . They were fast to take care right away. If your interested in getting one stop in on a nice day and see Bryan whom is there to help you not pressure you and chase you off. Thanks Stafford rv.
