My review is service related as I have never purchased a vehicle from Campbell Ford. The service department has very kind and considerate people working there. Everyone is always very nice and I appreciat vehicle from Campbell Ford. The service department has very kind and considerate people working there. Everyone is always very nice and I appreciate the attention they give me. However, I do have a hard time doing business with a company on customer service alone. I also want the company to stand behind their work and with Campbell Ford that is not the case. During 2024, I had my vehicle at Campbell for a total of 6 weeks (2 different occasions). This unfortunately is a Ford concern, not a Campbell specific concern. The first time was a transmission replacement for 5 weeks. Most of the time my car just sat under a tree. Upon completion of work they couldn’t even wash the vehicle, they returned it to me full of sap and tree droppings. Then just 5 months later the vehicle had to go back in to have the camshaft replaced (1 more week). During a camshaft replacement the entire engine needs to be removed. This is a very labor intensive fix and we entrusted Campbell to complete that for us, which they did. Then not even 5,000 miles later we were hemorrhaging coolant. I couldn’t keep coolant in my car. We took it in again and were told that there was a “kink” in the radiator hose which caused it to crack. So our first thought was a “kink” doesn’t just happen (the vehicle only has 70,000 miles) and this “kink” was a result of when they removed the engine during the camshaft replacement. Their response - “No, this is normal wear and tear”. I have owned many vehicles for well over 70,000 miles each and NEVER have I EVER had a radiator hose develop a “kink” and caused a crack that resulted in a replacement. This is 100% a result of an error on Campbell’s part when fixing the camshaft. It is unfortunate that Campbell cannot stand behind their work and own up to a mistake they made. It is also unfortunate that they are relying only on kind employees and NOT quality of work. If you are looking for a pleasant person to person interaction for your service needs, please visit Campbell. Unfortunately, I will be looking elsewhere for all my service needs. More
Actually I would like a survey from FORD MOTOR COMPANY about our vehicle. We had major work performed on our 2018 F150 with 31,000 miles. Repair was an engine replacement. Had I not had ESP on this vehic about our vehicle. We had major work performed on our 2018 F150 with 31,000 miles. Repair was an engine replacement. Had I not had ESP on this vehicle, I’m not sure how I would have handle this issue. Never heard from the service manager about their A/C MACHINE being down. I was told by my service advisor there was a part missing and they couldn’t find it, and had to order one. I truly appreciated the honesty and the tough call my service advisor had to make to me about the equipment issue and our vehicle will be delayed on completion. We then waited an additional 3 working days plus 2 weekend days to get our vehicle completed with A/C work. All in all, the work perform was major, and time will tell going forward. I’m very nervous about anything else with this vehicle going into the future. I sure would like a survey from FORD about their product, and less about the dealership. As a customer, we feel like we were very calm and patient during this repair. Campbell Ford is a great dealership and convenient location for us. Thank you for your help. More
