Recently my wife and I visited the Campbell Chrysler dealership in Centralia. We were met by Brandon Rakes, a salesperson who showed us the car we were interested in. As a college student, my experience with Brandon was great. I had never purchased a vehicle before and really had my heart set on a little pick up truck. He understood that this process was a new one, but assured me that everything would be ok - and it was. The truck I was into was great, but I was so nervous to learn how to drive a stick shift. Brandon was so wonderful, he took us to an empty parking lot and taught me the basics of shifting. He was so amazing, that I will never forget how truly honest and kind he was. Because of my wonderful experience, I wanted EVERYONE to know how I felt. Later that day, I decided to hop onto Facebook and this is what I wrote about him: ....Have a little faith, faith in others never seems to be a problem. I can count on those who love me..but sometimes I have to remember I won't be perfect at everything. God forbid I truly fall at something. After my clucker bit the dust, it seemed like the only viable option. I bought a truck today. A Ford Ranger - stick shift....YIKES!! With much reluctancy, I am finding my sea legs. Like any good fisherman will tell you, "your rig there, needs a name." FAITH. Faith in myself. Faith to trust what my mom has taught me. Faith in my body to do what it can do without thinking.
