I first talked to Tim Royer after a phone inquiry about a used Ford F150. Our Expedition had just blown an engine and we needed a tow vehicle to replace it as soon as possible. Tim answered every question and was willing to work with us using the Expi as a trade. Even though Tim was off the next day, he researched the trade and worked hard to get an equitable deal. I had also been in touch with other dealers in the area, but none were willing to work as hard as Tim. In fact, Tim is the only one who worked consistently on the deal. For this reason, I went in the following day to Colonial and Tim was a pleasure to both work with and meet. The deal was conducted in a cordial and professional manner and I ended up with the F150. The finance was handled by Scott Draper and once again cordial and professional. In fact, as others have mentioned, he was able to beat the pre approved credit union loan rate. What I haven't mentioned is that all this was done with my wife being out of town at the time. Both Scott and Tim were aware that they would have to go through the whole deal again with her. Some changes were made and everyone was happy. I would recommend Tim and Scott to anyone and everyone. Car negotiations/payments are never welcome and stressful. Colonial and especially Tim and Scott made the experience of buying a car a pleasant surprise. More

We found the used car we wanted and worked out a deal over the phone before we went to Colonial. Once there, we noticed a dent/scratch on the car that was not noticed by the sales team before we got ther over the phone before we went to Colonial. They went above and beyond to ensure us that they would fix that and other minor scratches on the outside of the car should we purchase. This was a used 2010 car yet they still offered to fix the blemishes we weren't happy with. We purchased the car and brought it back two days later so it could be worked on. They gave me a loaner car while mine was in the shop. When I returned the next day the work done was beyond what I had anticipated. Paul even put my old plates on my new car for me. I would highly recommend working with Paul on purchasing a used car. The entire team at Colonial was very professional and personable and made the car buying experience quite enjoyable. Being a new resident to Charlottesville I and without any car buying experience in this area I went into this dealership a complete stranger. However, after meeting Simona and introducing myself I felt like car buying experience in this area I went into this dealership a complete stranger. However, after meeting Simona and introducing myself I felt like we were old friends. I explained what was looking for and she found me exactly what I was looking for at a dealer in West Va. After we discussed the price details and they inspected my trade, Jim Childress came into the room and immediately was on the phone with the West Va. dealer to trade for the truck I wanted. They did what was necessary to make me happy with the deal and when we agreed on then details a deal was made. Next I was introduced to Scott Draper, the finance manager, and he was totally professional and went out of his way to complete the paperwork. I was treated with the utmost courtesy and respect at all times throughout the entire process. Then the unthinkable happened, while have a rhino liner installed off sight, the company damaged the rear bumper and fender. I received a call telling me the delivery would be delayed until they could install and new bumper and repair the damaged fender. I went to see the damage and it was minor, but non the less was an event I could have done without. Mr. Mitchell the service manager assured me it would be repaired in a few days and would be as good as new. True to his word, 4 days later the truck was delivered as good as new and went I went to take delivery it was better than new. Here is where I was truly impressed with the service given to me, Simona took the time necessary to step by step walk me through all the functions and settings on the dash, the radio, and the On Star, all all the electronics. I purchased several new vehicles over the years and never did I have a salesperson spend the time with me to explain the electronics the way Simona did. I can totally impressed with my experience at Colonial and will be a repeat customer. More

I was in the market for a new vehicle, however undecided on a car that I truly wanted. I was eyeing the 2008 Chevy Tahoe that was on the lot. I received an email on the morning of February 20, 2013 stating on a car that I truly wanted. I was eyeing the 2008 Chevy Tahoe that was on the lot. I received an email on the morning of February 20, 2013 stating that my vehicle of choice was sold the night before, and if interested in another vehicle feel free to contact. I viewed the website and had an eye for the 2008 BMW 528XI. I never imagined driving a BMW, but it was in my price range, so I contacted to Tim to determine if the car was sold and if could you determine if it fits a person standing at 6'7. Tim was great with the explaining the detail of the vehicle and assuring that my interest in the car would be satisfied. I live in Richmond, so I had to be assured that driving an hour outside of the city would be worth my trouble. I drove to the dealership, met with Tim, we took a nice drive around the area with the car and I fell in love with it. Also, Tim is from Maryland which made it a better sell because the transition from Maryland to Virginia is not easy, but being able to share something similar was worth it. Tim and Van Johnson made my experience at Colonial the best I've had, ever! I will definitely send people to Charlottesville for a vehicle. More
