Maggie Brown was the easiest salesperson I have come across since working with Tim Cartwright at West Broad Honda and Doug Felici at Danville Honda (as you can see, I have a VERY short list). She was able to beat the lowest bid I received in Virginia for a new Nissan Versa Note S+ lease for my sister. On top of that, her customer service was stellar and she delivered the vehicle to Richmond so that we didn’t even have to make that trip—the week of Christmas. I would highly recommend Sheehy shoppers, especially, to make the drive as their original quote was FAR less than Sheehy’s and they will bend over backwards to assist you in your search. Maggie was never pushy, always returned my phone calls and emails and should my family be in the market for another Nissan or Buick/Cadillac/GMC, I will call Maggie first! More
We had a Nissan Sentra for 15 years that we had purchased at Colonial. We thought we wanted another Sentra when we came in and were met by Shawn Crawford. We sat in the 2013 Sentra and it felt too large fo at Colonial. We thought we wanted another Sentra when we came in and were met by Shawn Crawford. We sat in the 2013 Sentra and it felt too large for my husband so Shawn introduced us to a 2014 Nissan Versa. We liked the size of this vehicle better and Shawn explained that it was narrower than the Nissan but otherwise had a good sized trunk, comfortable seats and good mileage in the city and on the highway. Shawn did not pressure us at all about the kind of car we wanted to buy. He was low key but gave us good information about the differences in the two cars. . After we decided on a 2014 Versa it turned out Shawn was unable to get the metallic blue color that we really preferred with the navigation system. My husband and I talked about it and decided we really did not want the dark blue color (onyx) and we were willing to drop the navigation package. Turned out the demo Versa at Colonial that I had been loaned to drive after we turned in our old Sentra was available for purchase and at a good price. Shawn was patient with us and worked hard to accommodate what we wanted. Since we our both senior citizens, we appreciated his patience and understanding very much. He took all the time needed to make sure that we were satisfied customers, went over the details of the financing options, got me with VanJohnson to set up the loan, called me to let me know when to come in and when the car was ready. Shawn even programmed our radio stations from our old car to our new one. Our whole experience with Shawn Crawford and with the Colonial dealership was first-rate from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend Shawn to and of our friends looking for a new or used car. More
Had a little trouble with the online process at first via cars.com and the Colonial website, but once I was able to start working with Shawn, I had a wonderful experience. Super nice guy and he didn't beat around the bush about their process or how they do business and we quickly came to terms on the car, which was in great condition and sold at a great price. Scott was great getting us out the door late on NYE and we are very happy with our experience. As a bonus, the car only came with one key and Shawn had tried to contact the original owner who could not find the 2nd key. Shawn offered assitance calling the Hyundai dealer to help me with getting the second key, but before i got around to that, 2 days later, Shawn called me up saying the previous owner did find that 2nd Key and that i could come pick it up. More
Our buying experience with Mr. Crowley couldn't have been any more perfect. From start to closing the deal he took the time to answer all of our questions and concerns. Working with Blake Rouse was a pleasure. He was very prompt in responding to my email inquiries. Blake quoted me a fair internet price which we both agreed on. However Mr Rouse's ability to provide a great experience for the buyer was hampered by his manager Warren Polson. Mr Polson did not agree with the quoted price and tried to increase the price. Since Blake and I had a prior agreement on the internet price I was unwilling to renegotiate a higher price with his manager. The manger's response to my refusal to negotiate was arrogant and unprofessional and certainly NOT an example of how to treat a customer. Also the inefficient and very time consuming process of Blake having to make multiple trips back and forth to get direction from is manager was quite annoying for me the customer. At one point I was very close to walking out of the store due to my frustration with the whole process. Colonial Auto Center certainly had the opportunity to providing me with an outstanding experience but unfortunately they fell short. It is with reluctance that I would recommend this dealership. However I believe that the potential exists for Colonial to provide a great experience. More
I was very impressed with Chris and my whole Colonial experience. I never felt pressured in any way to make a decision. Shawn was very helpful - we liked his low-key, no pressure, honest and friendly approach. In fact, we probably appreciated him to our disadvantage as we probably "left money on the table" in our offe pressure, honest and friendly approach. The one down side to our experience was that it took six hours to complete the purchase and walk out the door - from 9 a.m. when Shawn showed us two vans, to leaving in the Toyota Sienna. Since there was not a lot of business activity the day after Christmas, we were surprised by that. More
