Pleasantly Surprised Despite (or perhaps because) of the sheer number of Subaru owners affected by the "Brake Light Switch" recall program, I went in with the idea that th Despite (or perhaps because) of the sheer number of Subaru owners affected by the "Brake Light Switch" recall program, I went in with the idea that the process would be painless and swift. To my surprise, it took even less time and effort than I had imagined AND I was kindly offered a free car wash! Upon my request, they let me keep the old part (watching YouTube videos about the BLS made me curious to see what the part looks like). I was among the fortunate Forester drivers who never experienced any of the Recall symptoms (3 lights on dash, locked PRNDL shifter, inoperative tail lights, etc.), though it was reassuring to receive the letter about it. Scheduling service using the MySubaru website was easy and hassle-free. Erin C. is the ideal person to have at the Welcome desk, and I must say the sales and tech reps on the floor at Bryan Subaru go out of their way to make customers feel welcome. Somehow, they strike the perfect balance between "chatty" and "relaxed" to let you know they've got answers, if you have questions, but at no time will you you feel pressured during a sale or induced to "upsell" your vehicle on parts or accessories. Almost looking forward to the next time something goes wrong with my Subie! :-) More
