Too expensive all the way around Brought my Forester in to have its rear wheel bearings inspected, since one of them was making the classic whirring sound. I should have asked whether my vehicle was under warranty FIRST (expired last year), then done the repairs myself, since the cost of those parts -- for BOTH sides -- is less than what Bryan Subaru charges ($140) just to look at your vehicle. Shockingly, the price they quoted to replace both bearings was ... are you sitting down? ... $800 plus tax! I had no choice but to decline, thereby saving myself 880-140-140 = $600. In brief, don't get your hopes up if you are just bringing your Subie in to "have it checked out" (unless you have zero car knowledge or don't know a reasonable mechanic) because your wallet will suffer. More

Thought I had a battery issue Turned out to be a loose ground cable probably done when I had some body work. They checked battery and alternator, but did not stop there. Found Turned out to be a loose ground cable probably done when I had some body work. They checked battery and alternator, but did not stop there. Found the loose cable and the truck light turned on. Another unique thing was I could not move front passenger's window up or down from driver side. Happens when battery is disconnected; Richard showed me how to reset computer option to fix. Good job, good folks More
