Oil change The worst experience I’ve ever had with a service department was at this Honda! When I originally bought my car, my decision was heavily influenced by The worst experience I’ve ever had with a service department was at this Honda! When I originally bought my car, my decision was heavily influenced by the courtesy and professionalism shown by the sales associate who helped. I’ve been to Honda on several occasions, both in the sales and service departments, and I’ve never had any issues. As a matter of fact, it is the high level of customer service that makes me a returning customer. However, on this specific occasion my wife was told that tires were needed on my vehicle. I believed the tires were pretty good at the time and I believe my suspicions were validated when I was told I needed filters for the same vehicle. I knew the car was serviced by Aberdeen Honda the week prior to this occasion and I personally replaced both filters the day prior. When I question the accuracy of the service recommendations, I was sent to see the service manager. This manager lacked the respect, courtesy and customer service skill I’ve come to expect at Honda and in my opinion, should never interact with customers under any circumstances! The manager and I went to the car together and looked under the hood. He saw for himself that the filter was brand new and instead of apologizing, he begin to make excuses. To add insult to injury, the manager told me that I should go back to Aberdeen to have them do the work. He added, “at least we didn’t recommend you a price.” I said what if a customer comes to you and doesn’t know anything about cars, Honda has lost trust. You and your business just took advantage of my wife! He just rolled his eyes and said, “So what! Get over it!” I called the store manager who promised to give a call back, but he hasn’t. His attitude on the phone made it obvious that he didn’t care about the behavior of his employees. He simply wanted to get me off the phone. He didn’t even want to hear the full story. I will never return to this location again. You have at least three individuals, at three different levels, who lack the integrity to do right by customers. I don’t normally write or call or ask to speak to managers because I understand how difficult some customers can be. I’m a loyal customer and I see no reason to be understanding of a business who sees no problem with taking advantage of people and lying. I would’ve been happy with an apology and verifications from upper management that this was an unusual situation and was not the standard for business. Instead, the managers gave the proverbial You! I served in the US Army for 31 years and I could never understand how such a successful business would allow such indecent human beings to represent your organization. It is my hope that this complaint effects change and allows for corrective action to be taken. I expect to receive feedback on the outcome of this situation and an apology for the attempt to rip me off, the disrespect to my wife and myself, and the time taken to make this complaint without a single shred recompense Service manager I selected was to get this to go through. I absolutely LOVE the fact that I am dedicated to one customer service representative that I have built an awesome relationship with.. Brandi knows me and my vehicles.. She never trys to push or extra sell any services. She tells me what is recommended, the benefits and price. Then leaves the rest up to me.. When my vehicle is ready, Brandi actually walks into the waiting are to come escort me to the customer service desk to check out..wow. I loves that. Nick knows my voice when I call. He greets me by name. When I come into the service department they take the time to stop their extremely busy day just to smile, give me a warm hug and say Hi.
