BEWARE dealer tricks and high prices!! Got a mailer from these guys that they'd give me 30% higher than Blackbook on my trade, which I had valued on blackbook.com a few weeks earlier. The mailer said my car was in unusually high demand on the used market. Went in to check it out, considering a new Civic. Was amazed to see that they add almost $3,000 in dealer add-ons to EVERY new car on their lot, including almost $2,000 in "Additional dealer profit." Really? Who in their right mind would pay for this stuff? $299 for useless "mud guards"? $149 for "Honda wheel locks"? Give me a break. They actually had a new Civic in the showroom with an incredible $8,000 in dealer add-ons, including $1,100 for fog lights and $600 for plastic rain guards on the side windows. I can't believe anyone would be gullible enough to pay for such a rip-off. Anyway that turned me off to Hondas and I asked for the price on a lightly used Fusion on their used lot. The salesman was trying to deal with 3 different customers at the same time (this is a Tuesday night mind you) so I told him to just call me in the morning with all the numbers. The manager called in the morning and said they could indeed give me 30% over blackbook for my trade since, in his words, "nothing needs to be done to it." EXCEPT, minus $1,000 for "reconditioning." Hey buddy, you just told me nothing needs to be done to it, now you want to ding me $1,000 for a vacuum and wax? Anyway, then he wants to charge me $24,500 for the used base 2011 Fusion SE. First of all, that's roughly equal to the MSRP for a brand new 2012 Fusion SE. Second, I told him that I saw their ad on autotrader.com for that car and their price was $19,500. That tripped him up, saying "I thought we didn't have any prices listed on the web site" and he said he would call back after investigating. Their own website had indeed replaced all prices with "call for price." It was clear to me then that they had jacked up all prices on their lot by $5,000 to more than compensate for the $3,000 or so they offered to pay people additional for their trade in. WHAT A SCAM! WILL NEVER CONSIDER BUYING FROM THIS DEALERSHIP AGAIN! The manager did call back later and left a voicemail asking me to call back to "discuss the situation", which I didn't do for obvious reasons. My wife brought her van in for service and was told that it would take one day to complete. We live in South Tampa and it is not close for us to travel back and forth. After the first day we called to check on the van (no one called us) and apparently the wrong part had been ordered. We were ok with that as mistakes happen. The second day we called (again, no one contacted us) and once again the wrong part had been ordered. We then had to drive out there to get a rental car. My wife was able to get the contact person at the Dodge dealership and have the right part ordered as once again they had already ordered the wrong part again based on the information that your technician gave them. It amazed me how a school teacher could explain which part was needed but a mechanic/technician could not do so three times. The third day we called as no one contacted us and we were told to come get the car as it was fixed. My wife got there and went to check on the car. Before she got into the building they were taking the rental car away. When my wife got into the car it was not fixed properly and the window would not roll down from the driver side. She was then told to wait as it wouldn't take long but she wasn’t told that you had to order yet another part and didn’t even have it to fix the van. She has now been waiting over two hours. She has to pick up my daughter from gymnastics and we have a Gasparilla Ball to get to tonight. She has no way of leaving as the rental car is gone and is stuck at you dealership. This is absolutely ridiculous!!! I will be leaving feedback about your dealership and service department on every website review that I can find. I will also let all those that I am acquainted with about your customer service or lack of. More

He is very knowledgeable and can be trusted to provide you with an honest answer or recommendation on what needs to be done to correct a problem or maintenance. He always takes time to discuss any issue you may have and counted on to have your car repaired in a timely manner. He also checks to see if there are any outstanding recalls that are available for your car. Brandon Honda's Service Department can always be counted on to resolve your issue and perform periodic maintenance to keep your Honda in great running condition! More

He is always professional and a pleasure to work with, if there is a question that he doesn't know, he will find someone in your service department. I realize that when it come to servicing my Honda, I have many choices, one within minutes from my job, however I do drive 45 minutes from my home to Brandon Honda because of the service and the job is done right the first time. I bought a Honda for my daughter's first car and tested several models before settling on the Odyssey for personal use. The product is excellent but what I also bought was the service. JR has made owning my 2000 Honda Odyssey stressless and a real pleasure. I am a disabled vet and my van is modified to carry my wheelchair. Mr. Disbrow has gone above and beyond to ensure that my vehicle is serviced as recommended but also takes into consideration the modifications to it's use. My vehicle is "my legs" and I have found in JR a partner who thoroughly checks for hints of problems to avoid damage, downtime and major expense down the line. JR's knowledge of Honda products is phenomenal. I tow my van behind my RV. JR researched the best way to protect my vehicle while towing which has extended the life of my vehicle while making my trips safe and uneventfful due to vehicle problems. Should any trouble arise, JR has assisted me by discussing any vehicle service issues with Honda Service Departments as far away as Yellowstone National, Tucson Az, and Mount Rushmore. JR's "can do" attitude shows when life happens while here in town. In the case of accidental damage, his calm and reassuring voice makes a bad situation more palatable. He smoothes the way with the insurance companies and outside vendors and is quick to consider the customer's comfort and needs during the time it takes to complete repairs. In short, JR Disbrow sets the bar high for service representatives. Honda service is all good but JR is the reason why I drive past 2 other dealerships closer to my home to reach Brandon Honda. More
I’ve known J.R. Disbrow since 2003 when we bought our first Honda vehicle. We were very satisfied at that time and are still very fortunate to have him as a service representative. This Eemployee is the best! I believe he goes above and beyond the call of his duty. For starters as soon as I drive up and he spots me if he is not with a customer he immediately comes out. At one time there was a recall of my airbags and steering wheel problem,although we were notified in writing,JR took the time to contact us, and this have left a lasting impression on our family.Mr Disbrow is also professional and efficient,very honest, and friendly.The first time we knew that we could have gotten a courtesy car wash along with our car service was from him.In the height of summer,when my window got stuck and i needed it fixed,JR squeezed me in, because i had just had surgery,and could not take the heat.Every three months when we get our oil change done, JR takes the time to explain every concern, no matter how many times he have to answer the same question.We have reccommended my of our friends to Honda services and they wre all impressed with him. Thank you Honda for MR Disbrow, it is nice to know when you are worried where your car is concerned,there is always a friendly, honest,kind and patient service adviser at your service. More
