Courtesy Toyota's service department is fantastic, but their sales staff left me extremely annoyed and disappointed. Jerry at Brandon Honda acknowledged my entire family and made us feel comfortable about talking numbers. He didn't push and he didn't talk down to me. I really dislike the car-buying process, but Jerry helped to make it less painful. Everyone at Brandon Honda that I came into contact with was willing to listen and no one a bad attitude. Antonio and Cris answered all our questions, were extremely friendly, courteous, and made our whole experience pleasant. We had looked at 3 other dealerships (non-Honda), and were not at all impress extremely friendly, courteous, and made our whole experience pleasant. We had looked at 3 other dealerships (non-Honda), and were not at all impressed with their salesmen and the incorrect things they told us about our requirement for a 4-down towable vehicle. Cris showed us the dealer book that covered that feature early on in our conversation. Antonio took us on a tour of the service area and introduced us to the service manager we will be dealing with. Antonio's pride in the Honda dealership is very refreshing. It is nice to find a car salesman who is proud of where he works. We also had a good experience with the gentleman who helped us with the financing. I forgot to get his card, so I don't recall his name. He was also personable and informative about all of the paperwork we had to complete. We were also impressed with the way the dealership is willing to continue our relationship for the servicing of our new car. Our whole experience at Brandon Honda was the best new-car-buying experience we've had. We will definitely recommend Brandon Honda to our friends. More

BEWARE dealer tricks and high prices!! Got a mailer from these guys that they'd give me 30% higher than Blackbook on my trade, which I had valued on blackbook.com a few weeks earlier. The mailer said my car was in unusually high demand on the used market. Went in to check it out, considering a new Civic. Was amazed to see that they add almost $3,000 in dealer add-ons to EVERY new car on their lot, including almost $2,000 in "Additional dealer profit." Really? Who in their right mind would pay for this stuff? $299 for useless "mud guards"? $149 for "Honda wheel locks"? Give me a break. They actually had a new Civic in the showroom with an incredible $8,000 in dealer add-ons, including $1,100 for fog lights and $600 for plastic rain guards on the side windows. I can't believe anyone would be gullible enough to pay for such a rip-off. Anyway that turned me off to Hondas and I asked for the price on a lightly used Fusion on their used lot. The salesman was trying to deal with 3 different customers at the same time (this is a Tuesday night mind you) so I told him to just call me in the morning with all the numbers. The manager called in the morning and said they could indeed give me 30% over blackbook for my trade since, in his words, "nothing needs to be done to it." EXCEPT, minus $1,000 for "reconditioning." Hey buddy, you just told me nothing needs to be done to it, now you want to ding me $1,000 for a vacuum and wax? Anyway, then he wants to charge me $24,500 for the used base 2011 Fusion SE. First of all, that's roughly equal to the MSRP for a brand new 2012 Fusion SE. Second, I told him that I saw their ad on autotrader.com for that car and their price was $19,500. That tripped him up, saying "I thought we didn't have any prices listed on the web site" and he said he would call back after investigating. Their own website had indeed replaced all prices with "call for price." It was clear to me then that they had jacked up all prices on their lot by $5,000 to more than compensate for the $3,000 or so they offered to pay people additional for their trade in. WHAT A SCAM! WILL NEVER CONSIDER BUYING FROM THIS DEALERSHIP AGAIN! The manager did call back later and left a voicemail asking me to call back to "discuss the situation", which I didn't do for obvious reasons. More

My wife brought her van in for service and was told that it would take one day to complete. We live in South Tampa and it is not close for us to travel back and forth. After the first day we called to check on the van (no one called us) and apparently the wrong part had been ordered. We were ok with that as mistakes happen. The second day we called (again, no one contacted us) and once again the wrong part had been ordered. We then had to drive out there to get a rental car. My wife was able to get the contact person at the Dodge dealership and have the right part ordered as once again they had already ordered the wrong part again based on the information that your technician gave them. It amazed me how a school teacher could explain which part was needed but a mechanic/technician could not do so three times. The third day we called as no one contacted us and we were told to come get the car as it was fixed. My wife got there and went to check on the car. Before she got into the building they were taking the rental car away. When my wife got into the car it was not fixed properly and the window would not roll down from the driver side. She was then told to wait as it wouldn't take long but she wasn’t told that you had to order yet another part and didn’t even have it to fix the van. She has now been waiting over two hours. She has to pick up my daughter from gymnastics and we have a Gasparilla Ball to get to tonight. She has no way of leaving as the rental car is gone and is stuck at you dealership. This is absolutely ridiculous!!! I will be leaving feedback about your dealership and service department on every website review that I can find. I will also let all those that I am acquainted with about your customer service or lack of. More
