I was looking for a honda civic, preferably new, and met with Don to find what I was looking for. When I arrived there, Don was very friendly and we drove a new honda civic. He wanted a deposit before anyth with Don to find what I was looking for. When I arrived there, Don was very friendly and we drove a new honda civic. He wanted a deposit before anything was set in stone. I told him I would not give a deposit until I ran the deal and numbers past my husband as we make all our decisions together. Don respected that, but I do not think the financial guy did because he did not want me to leave without the deposit. Several days later, I was approved for a new civic, but when I asked for the specifics, I kept getting the run around. No one would give me the specifics about the car I was approved for, the payment, etc. When I emailed Don I got an email back that I was approved for an Accord. I thought well a new accord may be an option but I want a civic. Then I asked Don for specifics on this car and I received an email that it was a 2010 Accord. I emailed Don back that I wanted a civic not an accord. So then Don emailed me back that I was approved for a 2012 civic. So I asked Don to email me the specifics, car, payment, etc so I can discuss this with my husband before I drive 30+ miles to put down a deposit on April 30th. Well it was a couple of days and I emailed Don April 29th that I need the information before I come up at 3:00. No response until about 4:30 and the information stated I was approved for the 2012 civic and my payment was going to be in the low xxx. Well, this didn't answer all my questions and I felt that I was getting the run around from this dealership and I don't appreciate being taken advantage of. So, as a result I purchased my civic from another dealer on April 30 and had the car by 6:30pm that evening who did not have a problem giving me specifics about the car and giving me the time to speak with my husband before I purchased it. The other dealer also listened to my needs and steered in the direction that would fit these needs. Brandon Honda did not appreciate or hear what I was saying and did not attempt to meet my needs. I would not recommend this dealer to anyone as they like to bait and switch and take advantage of a woman as was evident from the run around that I got from them. If they could not meet my needs, then they needed to be upfront and let me know that and we could have taken another path. Instead they left me hanging for days on end. This is not very professional and therefore, I would not come back there again. More
My experience at Brandon Honda was a lot of ups and downs of multiple people helping me and basically a waiting game. overall though after a few days and a lot of communication i have a wonderful car that i of multiple people helping me and basically a waiting game. overall though after a few days and a lot of communication i have a wonderful car that i am very happy with and feel educated about. Kyle is very kind and thorough with his customers and even through all my indecisiveness he always had a smile on and gave his honest opinion. he treated us as he was talking to a friend versus saying what he thought we wanted to hear. To an honest person as myself i respect that he was so personable. If everyone was as personable and optimistic as kyle you might not even realize you are at a car dealership! More
My parents and I came to Brandon Honda to purchase a new car. The dealership came highly recommended by some of our close friends and the dealership did not disappoint. We were treated with respect and we g car. The dealership came highly recommended by some of our close friends and the dealership did not disappoint. We were treated with respect and we got done through all the paperwork in no time at all. We were given a great deal on the car we traded in and as well on the newly purchased car. All the staff that we came in contact with were friendly and entertaining during the tantalizing work of signing all the papers. We were just there for about 2 hours total. We are definitely coming back to Brandon Honda to purchase our next car. More
I read about this dealership while researching cars/dealerships online. After three months of car shopping, I was ready to make a purchase, & thought they were worth a try, as I was impressed by cars/dealerships online. After three months of car shopping, I was ready to make a purchase, & thought they were worth a try, as I was impressed by their warranty. Internet salesman, Tim was very responsive and personable. I was contacted immediately after filling out my information online, and met with him shortly after that. I had previously test-drove a CR-V at a dealership in Tampa, so I knew that was the car. Armed with the new Consumer Reports auto issue, I was prepared to negotiate. Sean was extremely fair, and I was very satisfied with the price I received on the new car. I did have to wait a week for a car with the color/interior of my choice, but that was okay. When the car came in, I made my final test drive, & Tim patiently explained all the settings for the various electronics, how the seats folded down, etc. The only delay was waiting about 45 mins. for a finance person to become available to complete the final paperwork (even though I wasn't financing). This only took about 15 mins. to complete, but for a 5 star rating, Honda would have to have more finance people on hand so the wait wouldn't take so long. I was there for 4 hours total (including test drive, vehicle familiarization, car trade-in [was inspected on previous visit]/registration paperwork transfer & payment. Sam was my finance person & was very nice. All staff that I came in contact with were very friendly. More
Last week my wife & I made an aprehensive trip to purchase a car. I say aprehensive because in the past we have had some unpleasant experiences with hard sales tactics. What a pleasant experience w purchase a car. I say aprehensive because in the past we have had some unpleasant experiences with hard sales tactics. What a pleasant experience we had when we went to Brandon Honda! Our salesman, Ramon Aviso was very informative, personable as well as entertaining ! He treated us like all customers should be treated--with respect & knowledge that referrals are earned, not expected. We also had the pleasure of working with Cris Avis, the sales manager. Thank you, Thank you for the GREAT experience. We have already made referrals to your dealership. We love our new 2012 Honda Accord ! And look forward to working with your dealership in the future. I didn't care for the pushy sales tactics at Kuhn Honda or the grossly inflated prices at Tampa Hondaland so I gave Brandon Honda a try after reading very favorable reviews about them on Google. The extra or the grossly inflated prices at Tampa Hondaland so I gave Brandon Honda a try after reading very favorable reviews about them on Google. The extra distance we travelled to get to Brandon Honda was worth it for their powertrain warranties alone (lifetime for new, 100K mi for used). Tim Flaherty was a pleasure to deal with. Very friendly, courteous and real. No pushy sales tactics whatsoever. Tim dealt with us more like a broker than a salesman. He gave us what we wanted, not what he could convince us to buy. We were still at the dealership two hours after it had officially closed for the night, mulling over our options, but were never rushed -- by Tim or Cris, who was also a pleasure to deal with. Both were courteous throughout, explained every detail to us and did everything they could to make sure we were comfortable with our purchase. I would definitely recommend Brandon Honda and Tim Flaherty if you are on the market for a new or pre-owned Honda. More
I moved here in Jul 2009 and needed a reputable dealer to service my 2008 Honda Civic. My relative had a Honda Odessy and told me about this wonderful person at Brandon Honda and he was right. That person service my 2008 Honda Civic. My relative had a Honda Odessy and told me about this wonderful person at Brandon Honda and he was right. That person is Mary Kress. She has always been friendly, helpful, and worked with me when scheduling appointments. Even more important, there have been times that different warning lights have come on and she told me to bring the car right in and took the time to explain to me what the mechanics found and did. I will continue to call Mary for servicing on my 2012 Honda Fit that I purchased April 2012. More
I only came in to get the 45K servicing done on my 2008 Honda Civic but left driving a 2012 Honda Sport Fit. The sales department experience was as pleasant, positive, and outstanding as the service I hav Honda Civic but left driving a 2012 Honda Sport Fit. The sales department experience was as pleasant, positive, and outstanding as the service I have received since bringing my car there since Jul 2009 when I moved from Indiana. Tony was very knowledgable about the vehicle, didn't pressure to me to purchase the vehicle, helped set up an appointment to have an aftermarket product installed, and has continued to take the time to answer my questions with a very personable and positive attiutde. Chris was very upbeat, pleasant, flexible when I requested changes to the initial paperwork he presented to me, and didn't try to talk me into buying a higher price vehicle because of my credit score. Sam was very professional, thorough, and had alot of paperwork for me to sign. Sam has continued to be professional and positive even though I have made several adjustments to the original purchase agreement. The overall experience was great - I even got an IPAD2 but I was disappointed with the amount I was given for my trade-in. More
We called Brandon Honda about an add we saw on TV. We spoke with Tim Flaherty, and set up an appointment to see him the following day to look at the vehicle. Tim is personable, affable and very professi spoke with Tim Flaherty, and set up an appointment to see him the following day to look at the vehicle. Tim is personable, affable and very professional. He showed us the vehicle and we discussed features and price. Although we could not agree on a price that day we continued to discuss price and options with Tim and Chris Aviso. Eventually we agreed on a price. We went back to the dealership on April 25th and test drove the Honda Odyssey, and purchased the vehicle. Tim and Chris were both very helpful and made the buying experience worth the effort. Ryan Aquino finalized our paperwork in a most professional manner. Many thanks to Tim, Chris and Ryan for all your work. I will recommend Tim,Chris and Brandon Honda to anyone who is looking for a new vehicle. When I am ready to trade in my Honda Pilot I will return to Brandon Honda and have Tim assist me in purchasing a new vehicle. Sincerely, Howard and Sandra Hunt More
My experience with Brandon Honda was both REALLY GOOD and REALLY BAD. I was called off of a call list when my lease came close to renewal. When I discovered that a new Element was not an option (would REALLY BAD. I was called off of a call list when my lease came close to renewal. When I discovered that a new Element was not an option (would have been my third) to lease I was very specific with Larry LeRose on what I needed to purchase or lease (vehicle interior space is important for my line of work). He assured me that he understood my needs and would do everything in his power to help me. Because of this assurance and our multiple conversations I traveled over an hour to Brandon Honda (I moved out of the neighborhood) only to find that Mr. LeRose had no recall about my specific needs and while I was assured the interior space of the CRV would match the space of the Element, it clearly did not. And, I payed for 60,000 miles on my lease and only used 30,000...if I continue being a customer, shouldn't their be some compensation for that? After hours of wasted time on your lot I was finally informed that Honda had cut me a deal and done me a favor (since I was an eight year customer without a missed payment) and had approved me for a van purchase at somewhere around $580/month. WHAT?? I specifically said, I have paid $330 for eight years and know I can handle this payment. Only show me options that fit that criterion. Otherwise, I will simply by my Element when my lease ends. They sent me on my way that day telling me that they would run every option. I received a call from Mr. LeRose asking me to be patient that they were working on it and if I had any questions I could call Shawn Visconte directly. After a reasonable wait period I did call Mr. Visconte and left two messages...and never received a return phone call. Because my lease end was getting nearer I again called Mr. LeRose for an update where I was flippantly informed I had to come back down and resign all the paperwork because the time limit had expired. The time limit expired because they didn't listen to my needs and then they dragged their feet. At this time, I had no intention of purchasing the Element or any car ever again from Brandon Honda...then Sonny Mendoza called. This very friendly personality listened to what I had to say and found me options. I decided to buy the Element after all as it was the only way to recoup any equity in the vehicle. In order to get the deal done with Brandon Honda, Sonny informed me I could reapply for credit online, that I didn't have to drive there to do that. He also offered to bring me the paperwork to get the deal done. He then informed me about the Certification Process and since the car had to be checked out by dealers, brought me a loaner car and took care of the Certification for Me. I was then contacted by Ryan (I hope that is his name), who took the time to explain every detail to me...and not tell me like I was a three year old asking stupid questions. He also helped me understand the additional Bumper-to-Bumper certification which I decided to add. Sonny did exactly as he promised. He only called me with "bad news" once. He told me that he needed to keep the car a bit longer because they wanted to put new tires on it for me (which was great, because honestly the original tires weren't good on day one!). So cudos to Sonny and Ryan at Brandon Honda. I understand there is a new owner at this location and I say to you Sir, hire more people like Sonny and Ryan. The only reason you got my business with this sale and perhaps even saved a future customer opportunity was because of their personal efforts and I hope that any rewards from this sale are appropriately directed to them.
