I understand your concerns about the cost of your new car. Everything seems to cost more than it should these days. As for factory incentives, these are provided by the manufacturer. In this case, Ford Motor Company. Rebates and rate programs can be complicated at times and often differ between leasing and purchasing. All rebates and incentives are passed along to our customers in every case. After all, this is money provided by the factory...not the dealer. It is a benefit to both us as a dealer and our customer to utilize these programs. Also, you mention the destination and delivery charge itemized on the window sticker. This is transportation costs from the factory to the destination. It is part of the factory invoice to the dealer. The dealer documentary fee that you are speaking of is a fee that is charged by the dealer, in this case Bozard Ford. It is not that you have been double charged as these are two different fees. Dealer fees are a necessary part of our business. With shrinking margins and increasing costs our business simply would not survive without these fees. Advertised lease payments almost always require an initial investment. Some customers prefer to sign and drive without any cash out of pocket. While this can be arranged, it is only natural that the monthly payment will be a little higher. In closing, I would like to thank you for noting that our people were friendly and attentive. I understand that we all would like for almost everything to cost less than it does. We are right there with you on that one.
