The first time I took the car for the free wash they advertise. The good thing was that it took less than 10 minutes. However, when I got back into my car, it reeked of alcohol and for days and I don't drink, I was SO mad! Then I went to my first service appt, the guy was super slow just to check me in. They wouldn't give me a loaner, yet my service took over 2.5 hours just for an oil change and I needed to head back to work. I took it back for a noise it was making. When the guy test drove it with me, we both heard it. So they ended up keeping it overnight. The next day i was told to pick it up bc they could not duplicate the sound.... I also saw how one of the service reps was only nice to folks she knew, terrible, terrible experiences. I will never go back. Lou Fusz even has Saturday service hours. More

The customer Service at this Mazda dealership is ok if you can reach anyone on the phone. I've called there and the phone rang so long it times out. And hung up. Then once you do get connected to a dept. You could be on hold for another 5 mins or more. Do they need more help ? I think so. Seems like one person doing 3 peoples job. I will say Kevin in service gave me his cell phone number. He told me to call anytime an he will answer. And take care of the situation I have. I also have a Honda I bought from Hazelwood. What a difference in dealerships. Thank You for letting me vent. More
Poor Customer Service I decided to go to Mazda South because the salesman at the West location (Jamie) was all over the place promising prices he couldn't deliver on. I th I decided to go to Mazda South because the salesman at the West location (Jamie) was all over the place promising prices he couldn't deliver on. I thought w/e I'll go to the South location. A guy I know referred me to a salesman out south (Steve), but Sal had already made first contact so I thought, whatever lets make a deal. We get there and within 2 minutes I realize we're not buying a car from this guy unless the deal is so good I cannot pass it up. His tone was way disrespectful towards my wife. I chalked it up to the fact that English was his second language. That was until he tried to manipulate us by bouncing back and forward between financing options. He said the car was a lower price if I was willing to finance through Mazda. I asked him what was Mazda's best rate? He avoided the questions by saying that he didn't know what rate we would qualify for. My wife has a 816 credit score and I'm at 720. I told him that we'll get the best rate so again I asked what was the best rate that Mazda has to offer. He said 0.9%. However, I already knew that that was only if I added 1,250 back onto the cost of the car. His tactic was to speak fast enough and loud enough in an attempt to confuse me. I am an accountant so I took it as an insult. Also, he tried to put us in a car of his choosing (most likely the demo car) if we wanted to accept his "special price" offer. We did our research so right away we realized that he was offering us the average sale price of the car and trying to pass it off as a deal. Remember, this price was under a condition of taking the car that he choose for us. After 5 minutes of boarder line confrontational back and forward with him my wife and I got our things and left as he followed us out of the dealership trying to salvage his sale. I don't know if I'm turned off by Mazda South as much as I am by the Salesman Sal, but we took our business elsewhere and got the same car. More
Awful customer service. Can't believe they are still around. I get there and meet with a salesman to test drive a used vehicle. After test driving the vehicle I decide I want to buy it. After talking to him for I get there and meet with a salesman to test drive a used vehicle. After test driving the vehicle I decide I want to buy it. After talking to him for a little bit and filling out the finance application and trying to talk the price down as it was 1000 dollars over Kelly Blue Book value, he proceeds to tell me I am young and do not know how buying a car works. Mind you I am 27 and have purchased 5 cars in my life and know this is not rocket science. I was already about to walk out but decided to wait and see if he could get his manager to budge on the price. He submitted my application to finance department and we waited for 2 hours and decided that was it. We weren't going to wait any longer. By the way the salesmen was not to be seen at all during this 2 hour waiting period. I tracked down another salesmen and told him to go get our salesmen because he still had the keys to my car I was going to trade in. He comes out and gives me my keys and tells me they couldn't do the deal tonight because the bank is closed and would have to wait until tomorrow. I wonder how much longer I would have sat there and waited before he let me know this. Complete waste of time and zero sense of urgency to the customer. I won't go back and I don't recommend anyone else either. There are plenty of places to buy cars and I would pay more in a dealership that puts an emphasis on customer service. More

My salesperson was so helpful in answering all of my amateur questions. He really listened to my needs and preferences, and once we determined I was looking out of my price range, he never skipped beat. I expected my visit to end there, feeling discouraged because I'd only be wasting his time. Instead he tried every way possible to get my dream car into my price range. I'm incredibly indecisive, and that didn't bother him one bit. He was extremely patient the entire 2 hours, even after test driving multiple models. He was very knowledgeable and excited about the product. Even though I wasn't going to purchase that day and my significant other was absent, I felt very comfortable working with him. I left confident that I will never visit another Mazda dealer, and that he would be there for me, no matter how long it takes me to purchase my dream car. More

We bought a Mazda from this dealership. They were very wishy-washy on the deal they were going to give us. They would say one thing one day, and it wouldn't hold water the next day. My husband had a disc wishy-washy on the deal they were going to give us. They would say one thing one day, and it wouldn't hold water the next day. My husband had a discount voucher thru his employment - and they did not want to accept this. We had agreed on a price, and they put some paint protector and sealer charges on the price to increase their overall sale -- and since we had not agreed asked that they remove the charge - and on and on down the pike. In the end, the dealership gave an extended service plan to buyer -- but they handed it to us they called an extended warranty. They are shifty -- and I would not deal with them again, and recommend that you, reader, don't either. More
A few weeks ago I visited a few different Mazda dealers, looking to buy/order a new Mazda Miata. I was planning on waiting three months to get it (from Japan). My salesman, Mark S., was fantastic. I was e looking to buy/order a new Mazda Miata. I was planning on waiting three months to get it (from Japan). My salesman, Mark S., was fantastic. I was extremely well prepared (i.e. researched). He knew that I had already visited other dealerships. SO, he went straight to the bottom liine - and his price, by far, beat the other dealers. AND ... the next morning he went on-line and foung my exact Miatal, stateside - just exactly the way I wanted it ordered! To get it from the other dealer he had to share his commission (he would have gotten the whole commission if he had quietly let me order it and wait the three months). I.e. even though it cost him a good part of his commission, he had that Miata here for me in TWO DAYS - instead of three months. I'll go back to him, and them, for sure. More
Avoid the Mazda South dealership at all costs! They are not to be trusted. Every time the salesman took our negotiations back to get the managers approval he would come back with a counter offer...but "for not to be trusted. Every time the salesman took our negotiations back to get the managers approval he would come back with a counter offer...but "forget" to tell us he had dropped some of the options. He played this game all thru the negotiations. He even "accidentally changed our 7 year warruntee to a 6 year when the paperwork went to finance. After the deal was done we discovered it was not for the car we wanted. He had given us a car with the features we wanted to test drive, but when we told him it was the wrong color he said he had one just like it in the color we wanted. It was only the next day when we discovered that it was missing a package that the test car had. They also take your keys to check your trade-in and good luck getting those back! We told them 4 times that we had to leave but they kept delaying until they wore us down. They also told us that to get the best deal that we had to sign that night...and they could get us 1.9% financing...too bad they forgot to tell us that the next day they would be offering 0%! In short....RUN AWAY! More
