I bought a 6 year warranty battery 7/09 for $132.93. I needed to replace it 11/2012. I got 40 months out of the battery and the new battery cost me $115.39. I then went home and called Firestone, Tires needed to replace it 11/2012. I got 40 months out of the battery and the new battery cost me $115.39. I then went home and called Firestone, Tires Plus etc. I could have bought a battery straight out for about $120. The only reason I replaced it at Bob Brown was because I mistakenly believed the warranty would be worth something. Also I don't even know if the new battery has a warranty. No one mentioned a warranty and it is not stated on my receipt. I love my Chevy Tahoe but I will not be purchasing another Chevy product. Bob Brown labor costs are ridiculously overpriced. My Tahoe is 11 years old and several times over the past 11 years, I have had the vehicle repaired repeatedly for some of the same problems so I don't feel that I am getting better service for the price. Oil changes at Bob Brown most recently cost me with tax $41.78. In November, I had the oil changed at Meineke for $25.91. Also the tech at Meineke showed me some of the fluids that Bob Brown has been telling me needed to be changed, guess what? By appearance, those same fluids do not need to be changed yet. I think the tech should be telling me that according to the suggested schedule, yes, changes at certain mileage are suggested BUT at this time they fluids still appear to be OK. I am sick of the upselling. More
My husband and I puchased a new truck, we recieved bad communication. I seemed to take longer to purchase this truck than any other car we have purchesed in the past. It took several trips to the dealerships which all took longer than needed, we spent a lot of time sitting around... even after a purchase and trade in price were aggreed on. We added a couple of accessories that took days to put on, when we finally recieved word that our truck was done; I drove the 100 miles to pick it up to find out it was not done. It had not been cleaned (window stickers and everything were still in place) and it had no gas. We were then met with empty promises with a gift card to get it detailed locally; that we never recieved. We also left a couple of items in our trade in that we never got back, after three attempts. We will next time drive the extra 20 mins for good cutomer service! More
After having my Malibu in for sensor and warenty work; my car never drove the same. The service department repaired my transmission; the transmission works fine. but 7 weeks later we are putting new ball joi car never drove the same. I have been told by another mechanic (who has also purchased a car from Bob Brown this year) that it appeared the ball joint was not put on correctly. I have tires that had plenty of life still on them except where it wore hole on the inside of my tire in less than 2 months! My keyless remote also stopped working after the service, i took it back in to have it reset and they told me I need new remotes "they were both shot" wierd since I never used one of them and they both never worked after I pciked the car up. Save your time and your cars maintence and go somewhere else! More

I was very pleased with Bob Brown and Kendal Cook when I went there to look for a car in my price rage. I was first looking at a used car and ended up leasing a new car for the same price range I was looki went there to look for a car in my price rage. And the best part of everything is that after I bought my car, he took time out of his day to show me all of the features from bluetooth, to OnStar, to showing me everything under the hood. He could have just sent me on my way after I got that car but he went above and beyond after the sale and I really appreciated it. If you are ever in the the Des Moines area. Called about the bad brake pads within 30 days would not do anything. The rubber on the window keeps coming out. I feel we were overcharged on the extended warranty after checking prices elsewhere. We got an extended warranty with longer coverage on a vehicle 2 years older which was 4 wheel drive for $700 less. After checking on the internet prices they are way overpriced in that area. You would think brakes would be an important thing to check before sending someone off in a vehicle you sale them. Will not buy from them again. Also purchased 2nd vehicle just this week and am paying half the interest rate we got with Bob Brown. Will not purchase from them again. More

My wife saw a vehicle on the Bob Brown website that interested us. I stopped by the dealership and was introduced to Kendal Cook. He located the vehicle, brought it around front for me, and we visited interested us. I stopped by the dealership and was introduced to Kendal Cook. He located the vehicle, brought it around front for me, and we visited for an hour about the vehicle. He was very thourough and knowledgeable about the vehicle, and explained everything to me. We returned two days later and drove the vehicle with him. He explained again to my wife all aspects of the vehicle in depth. He also spent much time explaining the GM Certified Vehicle Warranty, and all of the different things Bob Brown does for their customers. He never put pressure on us, and although there was much negotiation with the final sale price and our trade-in value, he was very accomodating in spending as much time as was necessary, going back and forth with the sales manager, and ensuring we got the deal we felt was fair. During our purchase, Kendal had a serious family emergency, but stayed with us until we completed the transaction. He went above and beyond what he needed to do during that time. He had already earned our business, but earned our respect as well for ataying during this difficult time, putting his customer first. Although this was our first purchase through him, it wont be our last. More
I have not received a survey from GM to express my concerns about my purchase/service on my new vehicle. I am greatly disappointed and I am still not satisfied with the car. We went to Bob Brown Chevrolet looking for a specific car for our daughter. Starting with the phone call to the dealership right on through picking up the car, Bob Brown employees went out of their way to t for our daughter. There were NO high pressure tactics from Clyde or the sales manager. They gave us a FANTASTIC price for our trade in AND the car we bought. There was a problem with the clear coat peeling on one of the doors of the car we were buying and they fixed it. No charge, no hesitation and no increase in price. Clyde was the most down to earth car salesman we've ever met and very helpful. The only issue we had was with the lady doing the paperwork for the sale. She must have been having a bad day. We will definitely shop at Bob Brown Chevrolet aain! More
