I could instantly tell the difference between the two dealerships and it was worth driving a bit further from my home to go to Bill Kolb. Howard went the extra mile to make sure that I had the car that I wanted and the pricing was fair and impressive. I traded in my Toyota and was pleasantly surprised when they gave me more for the trade than I had anticipated! Both Howard and the staff at Bill Kolb are not what one would normally expect at a car dealership. They are a cut above and I would recommend them to any friend or family. More

He was very helpful and patiently helped me selected an impreza sport 5 door wagon premium with eyesight at a fair price. Told him, sales manager and finance manager that I nomally drive more than 20k miles per year and that I would be buying an extended power train waranty. Things got a bit tougher once I was brought to the finance manager. First thing I told him was that I wanted to buy an extended warranty @ 7yrs/100k miles. Told him about a few accessories I wanted and off we go gnashing the monthly payments. I was first quoted about $ 75 more than what I wanted to spend compared to the monthly quote from Honda on a Civic EX-turbo a day earlier. But later came to a price I was willing to pay but with a higher down payment and higher APR than originally quoted which i'm still fine with. At the end, I verbalized the deal.... of the agreed higher down payment, the accessories that the finance manager said he'll throw in for free, and the 7 yr/100 miles extended warranty. I came out of the finance manager's office without having a written extended powertrain warranty plan, accessories, nor detail options on the bill of sale. My wife was to go in the next morning to sign the papers and pay for the DMV fees and I'll pick up the car later after work. Next morning my wife called from the finance manager's office saying that the finance manager told her that the extended warranty was for 5yrs/100k miles instead of the 7yrs/100k miles I thought we had agreed on and that we would have to pay more If I wanted the 7 yrs. I was told that I had the # of yrs wrong and that he had told me 5 not 7. My reply was I didn't even know they offer 5 yrs plan also. The number 5 in yrs never came up at all. Yet he insisted that it was 5 not 7 and I would have to pay more for 7. I told my wife to leave and I'll go pick up the civic from Honda. Only then did he agree to make it 7. Ok, that issue was dealt with. When I went to pick up the car, I was just handed the keys....no explanations of the eyesight, starlink, roadside assitance, the service dept. location, nor when and what to get done at 1st service. After the car was "delivered", on my drive home did I notice the odometer reading was more than 90 miles higher than the night before and there was only half a tank of gas not full tank as stated on the window sticker. I didn't feel like going back to hash out the issues. Once the car is bought, no one else should be allowed to test drive the vehicle. SMH Above stated issues prevented a 5 stars review. I have owned and purchased more than 30 vehicles from several brands since 17, never had I had to deal with those issues. The experience was ok but I expected more especially since they hyped themselves up online. I've had better....but then again I have had worse. Just don't expect to be treated like a family member; it's a business. More
