Each time I went in for service for my 2017 X5 he made it a point to say hello. This past week it was time for a new purchase, and Zach assisted. He was a true professional throughout, answered all my questions, and made the process as easy as I’ve ever had. I highly recommend Zack Plourd at Bill Dodge BMW. Every staff person I dealt with was enjoyable, respectful, and straight-forward. I was pleased that it was agreed to replace a cracked lens cover, although not obligated to. Unfortunately, we found our dream car and because of how the sales manager, Ryan Goodwin treated us, we walked away. We were interested in a large family SUV and wanted to figure out how to best get it in the sales manager, Ryan Goodwin treated us, we walked away. After explaining to him we were pre-approved for a loan with a 6% interest rate, he refused to quote us with anything less than a 9% or 10% rate, inflating the monthly payment numbers. We wanted to put down a significant amount of money up front (1/3 of the price tag) because we wanted to get our payment as low as possible and could afford to. He told us that we should not be putting down that much cash and that should stay in our pocket because we have a baby due soon. He said we should keep that money for a rainy day fund and not empty our savings account, implying he knows anything about our finances. It was both condescending and demeaning. If he was going to work with us, we would have put down more money to get the monthly payment within our allocated budget. As the wife, driver of the car and decision maker, he ignored my questions and continued to look at my husband when speaking, rarely making eye contact with me. When he determined that we weren’t the right buyers for the car, he tried to tell us to get a smaller SUV with 5x the amount of miles and to “keep that cash in our pocket”, looking to sell us a vehicle half the price. He insulted the car make we were interested in and tried to tell us the other make was better for the car HE thought was better for us. When we decided we were not going to be purchasing the car due to how insulting he was being, he got up, crumpled up his paper, didn’t look at us and gave us a handshake while he walked to the trash to throw away his quote. It was an extremely insulting and belittling experience, and we have since decided to not purchase a vehicle from a company that would employ him. More
