Car Was Vandalized I took my car in for regular standard maintenance and a warranty repair on 3-Sept, when I received it back then Check Engine Light was on. I called and made an appointment to take the car back on 16-Sept, no big deal, they were going to take care of it. I gave the technician possession of my vehicle inside the Service Bay and was put in a rental. I received a call on 17-Sept to notify me that my car was vandalized on their property overnight. Again, no big deal because I was assured there was nothing for me to worry about because they were going to take care of everything. I was told that the Dealership would cover the rental, repairs caused by the vandalism, and also get reimbursed for anything missing from the vehicle, which was actually a plus because I know they have signs up in the Service Bay and I signed a waiver agreeing that the dealership was not responsible for any items left in the vehicle. For three weeks I received weekly updates, continuing to be told that they were just waiting on parts, but not to worry because they were covering the rental and I had transportation, so I leaned on that. On 1-Oct I received a call informing me that I needed to file an insurance claim to have the car repaired and my insurance company could work with Bill ******* insurance to get reimbursed. I told them that I did not agree to this, that the car was in their possession and on their property, only after having to take it back because it was messed up the first time, and that I didn't want this on my insurance record for the next 3-5 years, I didn't want my rates to increase and to loose my discount for having a claim free discount, and if I reported this to any insurance, then the damage would go on my Vehicle History Report and the trade-in value of the car would deplenish. I made contact with the General Manager Shane ******* on 1-Oct and asked him why I was told for 3 weeks that everything would be taken care of, then the sudden change of heart. He informed me that they had finished their investigation and couldn't find out who the vandal was to hold them accountable. That they were not responsible for damage to vehicles left on their property (which I did not leave it on their property, I signed it over to them for repair), that had I left my vehicle in Applebee's parking lot while I ate and it was vandalized, I couldn't hold Applebee's responsible (which is NOT the same thing at all because I am not giving Applebee's possession of the vehicle), and offered to pay my insurance deductible of $500, but that I still needed to file the claim. All I wanted is for Shane ******* to do the right thing in this situation. The right thing would have been to stand by what I was told for three weeks and repair the vehicle. But instead, I am out several thousand dollars in repairs and 3 1/2 months of stress, anxiety and anguish. I would not recommend a dealership that does this to their customers and doesn't protect their customers assets while they have possession of them. More
Excellent and honest service. Chris is a very professional and honest Service Advisor. I had requested an oil change and to check the air filters. He suggested the "Works" which in Chris is a very professional and honest Service Advisor. I had requested an oil change and to check the air filters. He suggested the "Works" which included rotating of tires which needed to have done soon. After the work was done which included checking the fluids, brakes and tires, everything checked out okay. The air filters were ok also which prove to me they were honest with me because they could have replace the filters and I wouldn't have known the difference. Therefore, great service and happy customer. Thank you very much! More
