Serviced vehicle and left with a damaged vehicle. I have purchased vehicles from Berglund Ford and had vehicles serviced there. Numerous times I have left with a damaged vehicle and it was obvious the I have purchased vehicles from Berglund Ford and had vehicles serviced there. Numerous times I have left with a damaged vehicle and it was obvious they caused it, therefore it was fixed. I respect that, but typically it is 100% avoidable issues. Dealerships charge a premium, therefore premium service should be part of that. This time I had a leaking radiator hose replaced along with numerous recall repairs. Upon arriving to pick up my vehicle I checked under the hood to ensure everything looked okay. Upon lifting the hood and releasing it, the hood dropped suddenly and nearly smashed my hand. Just before going to the service center I had to add coolant to the reservoir at advance auto, therefore I know my hood functioned properly before dropping it off at Berglund. I spoke with a Josh Moyer about the issue. I requested that he speak with the technician who serviced my vehicle to see if he broke the hood strut. The technician lied and stated that it was broken when it arrived, yet he decided not to mention it to me. Nothing was done about the issue accept that they would fix it for free, but I had to buy the part, because they had nothing to do with the hood strut. Honestly I didn't want anyone else at Berglund Ford touching my vehicle so I have opted to fix it myself. Upon further investigation I could also see paint chips under the front part of the hood, where the technician most likely used a "safety device" to hold the hood up while servicing it. I completely understand their safety protocols and am a huge proponent for that, but do not damage my vehicle in the process and then refuse to fix it. I figure he used this device, but put too much tension on it and broke the seal on the strut. I give fair reviews and as I said this has been several times now where my vehicle has left damaged. If Berglund had replaced the $43.00 part free of charge I would have been able to recommend them, but this type of service is unacceptable and the reason why I do most of my own maintenance. More
