Horrible experience!!!Drove 2.5 hrs too pick up the car Horrible experience!!! Drove 2.5 hrs too pick up the car only to find out it had not been washed and after teat drive found there was a loud noise coming from the drive train. Your team assured me the car had been fixed and was ready so we drove 2.5 hours agian only to find the car had been titled the day before and the DMV would not issue a title for 3-4 days. No apologies from the manager Jonathan instead he tried to switch me to another car and the second time hid in the back until I left the dealership. More
I thought my salesperson, Jose, was helpful. Overall I had an “okay” experience. A few things that rubbed me the wrong way: 1. The car I purchased advertised no accidents on the Carmax website, but showe had an “okay” experience. A few things that rubbed me the wrong way: 1. The car I purchased advertised no accidents on the Carmax website, but showed 2 accidents on the Benji website. I thought that was a little disingenuous but understood the explanation that the sites may report different stats. However, the sticker that Benji placed on the car also advertised no accidents. There was no explanation for that. Although the advertisements were not 100% truthful, the sales team was upfront with the accidents but were still misleading in the damage. I was told the car was in a “fender bender”, turns out it was more damage than that, but again after getting the car inspected by BMW, the car was actually in good condition but I wasn’t told about 2 issues (new tires and a broken axle boot). Luckily I purchased the warranty and the boot will be fixed. To be fair, when I brought the repairs to their attention, they offered to fix it but I had to make multiple trips to the South Florida dealership an hour and a half away. No thanks!! 2. I also found out that one of the accidents caused the passenger side door to be replaced because the guy that detailed and waxed my car noticed that the door was a different color black than the rest of the car. Just another piece of information I wish they would’ve shared. 3. Once I decided to purchase the car, the finance guy was definitely inexperienced. I have an excellent credit score and when he ran my credit, he claimed that a 4.55% interest rate was the best I could get. I knew that was a lie because I had a lower interest rate on my previous car. He did something on his computer and the rate went to 3.3%. Not sure what the deal was there but that didn’t sit right with me. I still think I should’ve gotten a lower rate. 4. The car needed an oil change when I purchased it but again they were willing to do the service but only if I drove to the South Florida location. I actually just paid for the oil change at the BMW dealership which was how I found out that I needed tires and the axle boot repair. 5. The “detail” wasn’t great when I purchased the car but that’s not a dealbreaker. I just wish they would’ve did a better job cleaning the car before I took possession. 6. Lastly, I got a great deal on my trade in but it’s been a couple weeks now and the balance of my trade in hasn’t been paid off yet and I’m afraid it’ll hit my credit report if they don’t pay it ASAP. I’ve tried to get ahold of someone to inquire but haven’t gotten a call back yet. Overall, I liked the guys but would definitely recommend getting any car you decide to purchase checked out thoroughly and get an experienced finance guy that’s not gonna try to give you a high interest rate with an excellent credit score.
