I purchased a Chevrolet Silverado with upgrade tires and wheels.Moments upon leaving their dealership after 9pm at night, our low tire indicator came on and we began calling the salesman who did not answer wheels.Moments upon leaving their dealership after 9pm at night, our low tire indicator came on and we began calling the salesman who did not answer and the main switchboard where we left many messages. 2 days later we finally got Mr Moya on the phone who told up to simply add air to the tire. The tire keeps loosing pressure so we drove back to Beck and Masten and were told we must have run over a nail (which we certainly didn't unless it was in their parking lot). The Sales Manager Gary Schwarzburg told us they would do nothing, then decided to offer 1/2 the cost of a new tire which we will not accept as this was an immediate problem occuring minutes after leaving the dealership. Mr Schwarzburg accused me of cursing him which I did not and threw my sons cell phone on the floor and told us to get out of his office. In this economy, dealerships are lucky to be in business and the thought of them treating a customer who drove in to their dealership and purchased a vehicle within an hour should be better than we have been treated. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! More
We purchased a GMC Sierra 1500 SLE, leather interior, heavy duty tow package, locking differential, ON Star, auto start, etc. on March 31, 2008. We drove out of the dealership at 9:45 p.m. Upon arrivi heavy duty tow package, locking differential, ON Star, auto start, etc. on March 31, 2008. We drove out of the dealership at 9:45 p.m. Upon arriving home and beginning our summer vacation, we noticed that our 'tow package' was incomplete because we were not given the 'trailering harness' to connect from the rear bumper to the trailer apparatus on our boat/trailer system. I phoned, July 10 @ 3:45 p.m., and spoke to Steve Bench, and he informed me that GMC was no longer sending the 'trailering harnesses/attachments' to go with this package. Steve Bench also told me to go to 'auto store of choice' and purchase one for $5.00 (well, they are more than $5.00)Finally, this employee does not truly know his company because when I asked Steve Bench if he phoned GMC to ask why the harnesses were no longer an item at purchase with the tow/trailering package, his 'less than educated response' -- "Well, GMC is a big place, I would not know who to call." I then called GMC Customer Service and spoke to Darren, and when Darren called the Beck and Masten dealership he was told "the trailering harness/attachment' does not come with this truck. Problem: Why would you sell a customer a customized detail and not include all parts? Coming from a long history of GMC purchases, I would never ever, ever recommend this dealership nor these gentleman to another person due to thier lack of complete purchase inventory on a vehicle. I brought a TSB that specifically stated the problem with my older model car, they told me it was something different (and MUCH cheaper). I fixed it and got a brake job since I thought I was actually saving my older model car, they told me it was something different (and MUCH cheaper). I fixed it and got a brake job since I thought I was actually saving money, then it broke AGAIN less than 30 days later, brought it back and NOW they claim it's the expensive (over one thousand dollars) problem listed in the TSB. They hooked me with the cheaper repair so I would spend money on a vehicle not worth repairing, had they told me the true nature of the problem, I would have purchased another vehicle rather than waste money on the old one. The manager is NEVER available in person or on the phone, and does not return calls - he has the employee call you back and tell you what he said. They aren't members of the Houston BBB and have an UNSATISFACTORY rating. They responded with a 10% discount and said I was "not cordial" to their manager, whom I have never even spoken to. I ended up getting a one-year-old vehicle from a decent dealership instead. More
