Today 04/29/22 was my first time to visit this dealership. The staff (Lee & James Martin) were super amazing. The technicians did an awesome job. I was totally satisfied with the service. My experience at Banister Ford of Marlow Heights was a terrible experience. I chose a car that was available for sale. A final price was agreed upon and I began signing the paperwork. It came to my attent terrible experience. I chose a car that was available for sale. A final price was agreed upon and I began signing the paperwork. It came to my attention that the passengers side tail light was out. I notified the manager on duty, Chris Goines, and he assured me that he would have that fixed for me and I could pick up the car next day. I transitioned to financing to finish up signing paperwork and to have my temporary tags printed. I was told they could not print the temporary tags and said that they should have the tags for me when I come back next day. The next day comes and I was called by the sales rep that helped me, Sean, and he told me that unfortunately it was more than the tail light being out and a new part was needed in order to fix the problem. So another day had passed and I was still unable to take my new car home with me. This went on for another week. I was later called by Amar and told that my car was done being serviced and ready to pick up. I then asked about the issue with printing the tags. The guy Amar was unaware of that issue and told me he would get back to me. I was made aware that the issue with them printing temporary tags for me is that there was still a lien on the car. The bank was holding on to the title and therefore Banister Ford of Marlow Heights technically did not fully own the vehicle I was trying to buy. The experience was just horrible. It was a lot of back and forth and being told one thing and later finding out it was another thing. This dealership wasted about a week and a half of my time because they did not have their affairs in order. Why would you post online that you have a car for sell in your possession if you truly did not. Not having the title to the car means that you do not fully have that car in your possession therefore you should not have had it up for sale for someone to buy. More
