Subpar Service Department response to Ford Explorer Hybrid Limited Recall. Scheduled an appointment to have the Rear Axle recall addressed in advance. I was instructed by the service representative when I purchased the vehicle in November 2023 that Ford Motor Company would handle the cost for a rental. First, I was told that they did not have rental vehicles. I spoke to the rude service representative at Banister Ford that I would just have to bring the vehicle in a follow up regarding the rental. I shared that was why I was calling in advance to hash out any issues. His response was that I just needed to come into the Service Department and wait. I live in Prince George’s County, and I had to travel to the Koon’s Ford dealership in Baltimore because they didn’t have the type of vehicle that I was looking for: Ford Explorer Hybrid Limited. Now I can’t receive quality service from a Ford Dealership near my home to address this issue. Signed, Subpar customer in Prince George’s County. I am pissed! This dealer wasted my time. I scheduled to view a car 1 hour and 30 minutes before my visit. The gentlemen I spoke with said the scheduler was remote and would not know of the pending sale. The text communication with Melissa “the scheduler” led me to believe I would be meeting with her and to let the receptionist know I had a VIP appointment with Melissa when I arrived. My appointment time and the car I was viewing was listed on a large monitor next to my name. Even though Melissa was not there, multiple other sales agents were able to see there was a scheduled an appointment for an unavailable car. No action was taken by any employee to prevent wasting my time. Poor customer service.. More
