I feel like you get more c I recently turned in my leased 2015 Kia Optima and upgraded to a 2018 of the same make and model. I really like the Optima. I feel like you get more car for your money than other sedans. Originally I got my car a different Kia dealership in RI but decided to talk to Bald Hill about my options for my next lease for a couple reasons: my main reason being that the last Kia dealership became increasingly more difficult to work with and less then honest when it came to repairs, oil changes etc etc. The cherry on top was that it was sort of nostalgic going back to Bald Hill since that was where I bought my very first car, back in the day. Anyways -- I ended up at Bald Hill dealing with salesman Chris S. Chris is a really nice guy with a good sense of humor, pretty laid back and approachable. He didn't push me into anything, he was surprisingly patient and willing to work with me off the bat to find something that fit with my budget. The people at Bald Hill were friendly ..and the finance guy, Frank, was a joy to talk to when wrapping up the paperwork. I think the biggest incentive for me to recommend Bald Hill over the other Kia dealerships close by is their friendly (not over bearing) demeanor. I talked to a couple other dealerships and dealt with a lot of that "how can we make it so you don't walk out that door right now"-- practically puffing their feathers out to intimidate me into signing with them -- attitude -- and that just does not work well for me. I'm a calculated person who covers all of my bases -- so dealing with Chris who was willing to break things down and make the whole process digestible was refreshing. Nice guy. Don't get me wrong -- I still shopped around like any other calculated consumer. I was even awarded different pricing at another dealership but ended up back in Chris's office since they were willing to match. I went back to them because of the way they handled things from the beginning. I also met Paul, the general manager over there, he was so nice and seemed genuinely happy to get me into the car. Of course, it worked out well for us both-- they made a sale in crunch time near the end of 2017 and I got out of my lease and into a brand new car. Full tank, all full fluids full in the car -- clean as a whistle and good to go upon pick up. Now if I could just get it off of these salty winter roads and into the shining sun -- that would ideal. More

Baiting people in with recalls-BEWARE Received a call from Bald Hill Kia about some recalls on my 2012 Kia Optima. Made an appointment and dropped the car off. Around 10 a.m. I received Received a call from Bald Hill Kia about some recalls on my 2012 Kia Optima. Made an appointment and dropped the car off. Around 10 a.m. I received a call that all of the recalls were complete from Michael Andrea. Then came the news....the car was completely unsafe to drive. He said the front end was ready to fall apart and was sloppy and said 2 more times how dangerous the car was. I then informed him that the car was just serviced locally at my mechanic and had the tie rod done. He was quiet for a moment and then said, I am just telling you what the tech said. He gave me a price of 940.00 to fix it. Stated it needed wheel bearings and other work. I declined and picked up the car. I was not happy with this so I called the service manager Mike Wheeler. It was clear that Mike and Mike had spoken. He added some more scare tactics stating that the wheel bearing was ready to break and that it was moving 1.5 inches in and out. Told me I should think about getting a new mechanic. I drove it straight to my mechanic the next morning. He put the car on the lift and showed me the "1.5 inch movement" It was more like an 1/8. While it was on the lift I took a look at the undercoating they did under "warranty". If you look under the car from the rear it looks like they did it but as soon as you get where you can't see easily, it was not done. A kindergarten child could have done a better job. Bottom line is this is the reason most people don't trust dealerships. These guys are clearly trying scare tactics and I am sure they work on the elderly population. I will never go back there again, not even for a warranty. More

Vehicle had dirty windshield and back window and plastic wrapping around different areas of interior that were not disposed off. Salesman had no clue as to electronics of vehicle and the biggest problem, I found out later, that the tires were inflated to 50 lbs and should be 33 lbs. This means if it had been raining, I would have no control over vehicle because of no rubber in road. Called General Manager and no response. Owner did reply and said Salesman was "old school" and knew nothing about vehicle electronics. Also "Gee we must have messed up and not inspected car on delivery." Asked for some form of compensation for problem but since I'm from Massachusetts and its in Rhode Island , probably never would go to dealership for service so tough luck. Is this a way to treat a customer who has been wronged? Mt wife's Honda was delivered professionally and without incident. Second Kia Cadenza and my be the last. Not professional at all. More

Went to different place all was needed was new gas cap & still driving fine. Now wanted to give 2nd chance & get oil change, put on hold 2x over 5 min. Going someplace else! More

We saw a major difference in the "let me check with the manager game". We noticed a quicker drop in price than a previous visit in which the manager barely budged and forced us to walk out. I was disappointed that the sales manager never came out of his office to introduce himself or to congratulate us on our purchase. Also, after the purchase, we waited for the car to be detailed. When they claimed it was ready to go, it was obviously untouched and carpets were not vacuumed. The Service Dept. was supposed to replace the wipers as part of the sales agreement and they did not. I am still unsure of what they were doing while we were waiting. These few things contributed to lower scores in my ratings. We had a very positive experience with the Salesman, Mike Wheeler. He was laid back, friendly and had a good personality. He did not pressure us and was very patient and willing to spend as much time as needed. We absolutely love the car and will go back to Bald Hill Kia again, only next time I will be more aware and double-check service expectations. More
Looking at new vehicles but not looking to buy John MacAndrew was my sales person he was very knowledgeable about every aspect in detail of the cars that I was looking for ! I first selected the Kia forte and had a test drive with it. It is a very nice car but a little too small for my needs . John then suggested that I try a test drive on a Kia sportage. I wasn't too sure that I wouldn't need a step ladder to get into the car as I'm only 5 feet tall however the minute I saw this car and drove it I knew this was the car for me. There was no pressure from John to purchase anything today. He got me a great deal and I decided to lease the Kia Sportage for three years. I also spoke with the sales manager Paul Venice. Again no pressure to purchase or lease from Paul either. John and Paul were so wonderful I enjoy doing business with them and I would recommend them to everybody! I can't believe that I have the car of my dreams at a price that I could afford. Jennifer Philbrick was very diligent and efficient in processing my lease. thank you John and Paul and Jennifer. More
