THE GOOD,THE BAD, AND THE UNACCEPTABLE After being assured that someone would call me back, and never getting a returned call, I decided to send the following email to the sevice manager. I brought in my 2016 Jeep Patriot to have it repaired under warranty at your dealership for the following issues. (1)The Abs,,4x4! Light is always on and the abs was activating when the brakes are applied. (2) There is a strange vibration in the frontend when turning. (3) I have to add air in the rear drivers tire every 3 days. (4) The Steering wheel vibrates when I come to a stop and vehicle is in gear. The diagnosis was to replace the F.L. ABS sensor and both front steering knuckles. The "good" The Patriot was repaired in 1 day and the staff was very courteous. The called Uber and transported me to work. The "bad" The claimed that the vibration in gear is normal and said all Patriots do this, There couldn't fix the leaky tire. Update: Walmart found a nail, repaired the tire for $10. The "Unacceptable" When I got home I decided to inspect the repair and noticed that the Drivers side Jam bolt was hand tighten only, I could literally unscrew it with my hand. I immediately wanted to bring the truck back but felt it was unsafe to drive. I crawled under the vehicle that night and snugged up the bolt. This could have had an extremely bad outcome such as lose of steering and control of the vehicle. How did this situation occur? Are there any safeguards in place to avoid this? This bolt is a critical component. This is my wife’s Patriot and I’m extremely upset on what might have happened if I had not been so lucky in finding this oversight on the mechanics behalf. The next day, I immediately called the Service department and explained this to the service advisor on duty and they assured me that someone would call. I have not heard back from Bald Hill Dodge in Warwick Rhode Island. The service manager sent me an email and said he would get in touch with me, but has not called me. I'm not looking for any compensation, just some accountability, and some confirmation that a plan is in place to avoid this from occurring in the future. I will be avoiding this dealership going forward and hope you do the same for safety sake. More
Recall, 30,000 miles check up. Inspection Service was great, done well, on time. Staff was friendly and helpful. I am a doctor and needed my vehicle by a specific time. Purchased a new vehicle and traded in my old truck The experience was great we went to the dealership on a Sunday they were very busy and we were just walking around the parking lot looking at the ram The experience was great we went to the dealership on a Sunday they were very busy and we were just walking around the parking lot looking at the ram trucks. Mike Mardo came out and explained the difference in the truck styles we took one out for a drive no pressure and we went alone which I liked.
