Since 1988 we've owned three Dodge Caravans. Late in October we visited Bald Hill to look at the Town and Country, planning to then visit a Honda dealer to look at the Odyssey. But we ended up deciding right then on a classy looking titanium T&C. Our salesman Dave Connetti was surprisingly terrific.... very kind, professional and knowledgable. No pressure at all. While it may be easy to think the car sold itself, the truth is that the feeling of comfort and trust in Dave was a big factor in the decision to buy right then. We never did get to the Honda dealer! So I apply for financing with Bald Hill and after 4 days I get an email from Steve saying: "Thank you for considering Bald Hill Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep! Unfortunately, because of your credit score, we can't as I get an email from Steve saying: "Thank you for considering Bald Hill Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep! Unfortunately, because of your credit score, we can't assist you with a vehicle purchase at this time." I reply: "You can’t assist me with a purchase? Did you mean to say you can’t assist me with financing? I decided to secure my own financing and am now shopping as a cash buyer. Sorry you can’t assist me." (knucklehead!) So Jim the GM (more like Bob the Builder)emails me an apology asking for another chance. Ok, let's see what you got. Steve calls me this time and invites me to come in. I drive 45 min fighting off Rt 2 traffic and pull up to the showroom doors, put my coat on and wander the car lot looking for a car. A salesman walks past me, cracks a grin and keeps right on going without a greeting. After finally finding the car I came to see, it has a big ding in the hood (which should have been pulled with dent wizard) and I make my way back to my trade, title and deposit very disappointed. Of course I left a voicemail for Jim the Builder, err GM, while I was in the parking lot of Route 2 with a recap of my visit. No reply. I am taking delivery tomorrow of my 2010 Avenger. The dealership was very accomodating to our schedule. We didn't feel any pressure to purchase or make a hasty decision. Any question we had was answered in a knowledgeable way. Every care was given to make sure we were happy. They took care of our insurance transfer and payoff of our trade as well as at a future time will be going to the DMV to register our new Jeep. As much as I enjoy getting a new car, I never look forward to the actual sales experience. After visiting a couple of other dealerships and not being satisfied I thought that maybe I'd just keep my c forward to the actual sales experience. After visiting a couple of other dealerships and not being satisfied I thought that maybe I'd just keep my current vehicle (it looked good, ran well, etc). Then I stumbled across this website and read many positive reviews regarding Bald Hill Jeep. Thats when I decided to give buying a new car another shot. Before visiting the dealership I contacted one of their salesmen Louie Ruggeiri and told him what I was looking for. He was great; he followed-up with me, was very informative, and never pushy. I finally made it to dealership and again was pleasantly surprised. They had a huge amount of new and used inventory and it seemed like everyone who worked there liked their job and was pro-customer-service. Whoever I ran into greeted me and smiled, unlike every other dealership I had visited. For example, this one other dealership (I wont mention any names) I went into, I walked into showroom, stood there for about five / ten minutes, then sat in the car I was interested in, and still nobody approached me. I then had to finally walk up to a salesman and ask for assistance, it actually seemed like I was bothering him. Bald Hill Jeep's experience is exactly what I was looking for. This is my third Challenger I have bought at Bald Hill Dodge in Warwick, RI in the past 1 1/2 years. Why? First of all, the Challenger is one of the best cars Dodge has ever built. Quality, comfort and performance is superior to Camaro and Mustang. I orginally bought an RT and just traded it for an SRT8. We love the Challenger so much, my wife just bought one for herself! The service department is terrific too. When I brought one of the cars in for service for a sound I was not familiar with, the technician asked me if I would like to come along for the drive. How many service departments would do that? Turns out, the sound was normal tire contact with the road. The salesman, Dave Connetti, is one of the best persons I have had the pleasure to deal with. I bought all three vehicles from him. He takes his time with you and is very knowledgeable. Never a pressure sale. He makes you feel very comfortable and not all talk is about the sale. I never felt rushed by him. I highly recommend him. I had their finance department handle the arrangements. Talk about smooth and fast. The paperwork was correct with no surprise changes. In fifteen minutes after entering the office I was done. Bald Hill Dodge is tops. Chrysler Dodge is putting out one quality product. More
