Awesome Barry Thomas is awesome! I had to bring my sons car in for body work at the Body Shop . As my son lives in Austin we were on a time crunch .So I can Barry Thomas is awesome! I had to bring my sons car in for body work at the Body Shop . As my son lives in Austin we were on a time crunch .So I can get the work done on his car I left it at the dealership for a few days. I ask Barry if he could keep an eye out for when it was finished so I could get the oil Changed and to see if any thing else was needed . He took care of everything . No problems . I always have my son drive back to Houston to do oil changes and service .. I call Barry Thomas and give him a heads up ,he is polite ,prompt,courtious and gets it done without have to wait a long time. More

First pleasant dealership experience We first went to Baker Nissan in early December to test drive a Nissan Murano. The first salesman we spoke with, Patrick, was very knowledgeable and s We first went to Baker Nissan in early December to test drive a Nissan Murano. The first salesman we spoke with, Patrick, was very knowledgeable and seemed truly interested in answering all of our questions to the best of his ability. He wasn't pushy or intrusive, it felt as though he wanted to help us further our research process. We did not have plans to purchase a vehicle that day but at least 2 managers came by Patrick's desk while we spoke to say hello and introduce themselves. We went back to Baker Nissan on January 1st after we had narrowed our decision and done our due diligence with the intent to see what kind of pricing/deal we could get on the Murano. Patrick was no longer with Baker Nissan, and Drew Perry had called me previously to follow up so we began talking with him. Drew was very good at putting us at ease and making us feel as though he was trying to get us into the car we wanted while getting the best deal possible. We felt as though he and Amanda (sales manager) were working very hard to get us what we wanted for the price we wanted to pay. Felipe (financing) was also very knowledgeable and patient with us. After we purchased the car, Gayla went over everything the car offers and was efficient in explaining everything from the owners manual to the various features. Our only complaint is that the process takes so long, but that's a universal grievance no matter the dealership. Overall, everyone we interacted with during our sales/purchase experience was helpful and friendly, and we felt as though each department was genuinely working as hard as they could to get us an amazing deal. We are happy with our experience and should we decide to purchase another Nissan in the future, we will definitely return to this location. More

The sales rep showed us one vehicle with approximately 200 miles and at the end, gave us another same color car with 800+miles. Yes, I know....it was my responsibility to make sure it was the right car, but I was too worried about being screwed with extra charges, as the person above said. It was an over 4 hour ordeal with lots of waiting (I'm sure as an attempt to push the customer to lose focus). Make sure to take notes on everything because the number downstairs will not be the same final number when you go upstairs to deal with the final documents. There will be additional charges and if you don't say anything or very carefully review the contract, you have now paid an additional $2000 - $3000 in gap, maintenance and extra warranty. It's fine if you are under the impression that you need these extra things....just don't get them at the dealer, as they are more expensive there than purchasing afterwards from an outside company. By the way, I did point out the mileage mistake on the paperwork because I realized something was weird.....the sales rep looked confused, didn't answer my question, and just moved on. At this point, that was a small thing compared to the extra money they were attempting to charge. So, I did not pursue it. Upon leaving, I did notice that the original vehicle I looked at was still in its spot on the lot. So, in fact, the vehicle was the same, same color, still new, but had more miles. I'm sure it was either the test vehicle used or someone from the dealership was driving the vehicle.....how else can 800+ miles be explained if it's a new vehicle? As consumers, it is our responsibility to check over ever single number, abbreviation (because they love to use a lot of those on all paperwork), and question everything. You are purchasing an object costing upwards of $15,000 to $30,000....make sure you have no where to be the day you go, do not rush, even though they will attempt to do that with you (other customers are waiting, of course)....that has nothing to do with you! Take all the time you need to go over ever single thing! You will be stuck with a non-cancellable contract, as the 3 day rule does not apply to these type of businesses, If you allow these people to dictate costs and the flow of the entire process. Anyone have any questions on the proper way to do things here or any other dealer, or would like an informed person's point of view since I just went through the entire proces, please email me. The worst thing you can do is walk into a place like this and believe that anyone there is your friend or go in there unprepared for a long drawn out process (battle) without having been informed of what to expect.
