It was pouring rain when we arrived and met Chandler. His demeanor has left a great impression on us that we will not soon forget. He was the same from the beginning as he was 3 days later when we arrived to pick up the vehicle. He was able to answer all of our additional questions that we did not get online, and had a wealth of knowledge on not just the X5 (we purchased) but other vehicles we had asked about. Prior to picking up the vehicle we had questions and sent many text messages to him, to which he always responded right away. We had been looking online for a couple of months, left messages with a few dealerships only to have one guy leave a voicemail saying he had great news, still don't know what his great news was. When we called back the next day we were told he was off and the sales manager took the call. We told him we just wanted to know if the vehicle had blind spot monitoring and he told us we needed to talk to his sales guy. We drove an hour to a dealership and wanted to test drive a vehicle we were interest in, it was about 5:30. We were told that in the morning would be best not as much traffic. We started to feel like no one was interested in selling a vehicle or we needed to beg them to let us buy one. Crazy! Glad it worked out that way! We loved Chandler, and love the vehicle we puchased, so we win. It was well worth the 2 hour drive and we would do it again to work with Chandler. More

Specifically the knowledge and above and beyond service that we received from our sales We have had two five star experiences with BMW of Wilmington. Specifically the knowledge and above and beyond service that we received from our sales advisor, Gareth. In 2016 Gareth worked with us on the lease of our X5. Shortly after getting the car I changed jobs and my miles tripped. Gareth was incredibly patient and helpful giving us different options to consider. Ultimately we stayed in the duration of the lease and returned to BMW and Gareth for our X3. While the vehicles themselves are the most fun ‘driving machines’ it’s the service we received from Gareth and the rest of the service team (Bob) that will make us return over and over. More

Gareth Jesina was great, helping me figure out which was the best car for me, and when we couldn't find exactly what I wanted, he walked me through the process to custom order the car. I was expecting it to take 2-3 months to come in, but actually only took about 6 weeks. When I picked up the car, Gareth and the BMW Genius Chad Muncy made sure everything was set up as I wished and showed me all the bells and whistles. Mike, the finance guy (sorry I don't recall his last name) carefully explained all the documents that needed to be signed and got me on the road without delay. This is my second BMW, but my first brand new one, and I couldn't be happier with the car and the buying experience. Well done! More

I have purchased vehicles from this location in the past when it was Schaffer BMW, and was concerned that BMW of Wilmington might not be as good. A bad experience with the service department I scheduled to have my navigation system switched over from European maps to North American maps. I was told it would cost $200 plus tax and would tak I scheduled to have my navigation system switched over from European maps to North American maps. I was told it would cost $200 plus tax and would take between 2 and 3 hours. The morning of my appointment I was told it would cost $600 plus tax and that the technician may have trouble performing the switch-over. As a result, they would very possibly need the car over the weekend and into the following week!! I had to talk to three different people and it came down to the left hand not talking to the right hand and I was left with the impression the technician was either not trained properly and/or did not have the proper equipment. Needless to say, I was scared off and canceled the use of the dealership. More

Deceptive Advertising 2 years and $34K later on a "Certified Pre-Owned" 528i and now my car is rendered worthless "Their words" due to a know design flaw affecting BMW's kn 2 years and $34K later on a "Certified Pre-Owned" 528i and now my car is rendered worthless "Their words" due to a know design flaw affecting BMW's known as timing chain failure. As a Certified Pre-Owned, one is told to expect that all known issues are resolved and the vehicle is inspected thoroughly. This was not the case as BMW and the dealership knew about this issue long before the 2012 was even build and they still certified it and did not disclose the issue. Now they have extended the warranty but wont recall because of liability issues. This is a major issue (google it first) so DO NOT buy a Certified Pre-Owned BMW period. Maybe even most disturbing, the response I get is "not our problem" but out of the goodness of our heart well sell you the engine for $11K opposed to $22K. Considering the first person I spoke with told me I should take my car and sell it for scrap at the junk yard, OMG I think it wise to never buy a vehicle from them period. More

We worked with Patrick Hamm, Joseph Wade, Alan Shapiro and closing the deal was the Business Manager, Karim Moujeahad. The BMW Genius, Kylie made sure we were well familiar with the different components of the vehicle before we left. We have never worked with a finer group of folks then these. Knowledgeable, thoughtful and considerate this team made this purchase a great experience and the best we have ever had in over 40 years of buying cars. More
