BMW DID not send me a digital Title.. It is an actual PAPER COPY. So if they sent the paper copy why was the lien NOT removed.?? I paid off my car, it was solely BMW’s responsibility to have the lien removed since it was in their name. I Paid it off, and the Title should have been in My Name. I did not have to go to the DMV to have the lien removed from BMW’s name...and pay a fee for it.

Hello, I guess there is some more miscommunication. According to the OHIO BMV: When you pay off a vehicle loan, the lender will send you the title showing the lien as satisfied. You have two options: First one - exchange the title at any County Clerk of Courts Title Office for a clear (paid-in-full) title. Second - keep the title that shows the lien as satisfied. However, you must be sure that the lien release is noted in Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) records, and if the title is lost or destroyed, you will have to obtain a lien release letter from the lender. If your lender participates in Ohio's Electronic Lien and Title Program, it will electronically release the lien and BMV records will no longer show a lien on the vehicle. You will need to apply for a paper title with the County Clerk of Courts Title Office and pay a title fee. When all requirements are satisfied, you will be issued a new (paper) title. If your lender does not participate in Ohio's Electronic Lien program, the lender will mark that the lien was discharged and mail the paper title to you. However, you must remove the lien from BMV records by bringing the title to any County Clerk of Courts Title Office and apply for a title. The County Clerk of Courts Title Office will issue you a new (paper) title. Here is the website: https://www.bmv.ohio.gov/links/bmv-all-fees.pdf#page=3 We're sorry for all the confusion.

The lender BMW did not show the lien as been satisfied.I took the ORIGINAL TITLE to the DMV where they stamped it and now it shows the Lien has been cancelled.. IT is an Original TITLE sent to me in the mail, can’t stress enough, showing I am the owner and Ganley DBA BMW as the previous owner. BMW should take care of this business and not inconvenience their customers. I hope people read my thought that will be posted on your website.
