My initial contact with Ira BMW Stratham was through their internet department. I chose their dealership purely out of location. However once I emailed for information on a vehicle they were very accommodating and sent all the information I had requested. I was told that if interested I should contact Channing Lyon (client advisor). I contacted Channing and arranged to meet him later that day. The dealership was impressive and clean. The cars on the dealership floor were immaculate. Channing took us for a test drive in both a 3 series and a 5 series. After my wife had decided she preferred the 5 series we set about researching colours and package preference. I will admit that 2 of my work colleagues recommended another dealer based on previous experience, however something about the attitude of Channing led me to email him the following Monday with a list of our choices. Channing came back within the day and said the while there was nothing in stock to match our choices, he had located the exact vehicle, sitting in Germany ready to be loaded of the transport ship. Once i agreed to pay a small refundable deposit I was told 2 days later that the car was en route to the US and would be at the dealership in about 3 weeks. Once the vehicle arrived at the dealership Channing had me come up and view the vehicle, which as you can imagine was amazing. I explained to Channing that the vehicle was a surprise gift and he went about arranging the way in which we would present the car to my wife. Most of the dealership personnel knew the situation and all played their part. Channing went above and beyond to complete the surprise and Joel Ginsburg the GM even turned up with balloons once the car had been presented. Overall it turned out the be a perfect day for my wife! The pricing of the vehicle was about what I had expected judging by the MSRP and truecar.com information. Steve Baker was extremely helpful when dealing with the financial side of the purchase. Chris Thompson was also great when valuing my trade in vehicle. Overall this was an awesome experience, and I am extremely pleased to have worked with Channing and all the staff at the dealership. I bought my 2009 128i convertible from this dealership and am very satisfied with the car. The service department could use a little help though. My car suffers from a tail-light issue in that the tail li and am very satisfied with the car. The service department could use a little help though. While BMW knew of this issue, they did not send out any notices to warn owners, so I didn't know of my broken tail lights until I was pulled over for it. At the dealiership, they didn't have the new tail light assembly, and didn't know when they would get one. I was given another of the old faulty assemblies to tide me over. Then, nothing. I waited and waited for an update, or notice that the part was in. I finally got an email telling me that the part was in, but when I called to schedule the service was told that the part was not in. I called sevice Manager Jim Medeiros in service about 15 times, and he NEVER, EVER picked up the phone. I had him paged on multiple occaisions - nothing. He's either screening or working from home, but he's unreachable by telephone. Sick of waiting for an update on when parts might finally be available, I called Tulley BMW in Nashua, and they told me they had one of the new assemblies in stock! Needless to say, I scheduled my service over there. Bye Bye Stratham!! More
I ordered a 2011 328xiT thru BMW of Stratham in August and the car was delivered in October. My initial contact with the dealership was by phone (I had heard nothing but great things about the dealership and the car was delivered in October. Upon arriving at the dealership, I was immediately impressed. The facility was beautiful, had a great inventory of cars and I was greeted by very friendly, respectful personnel. Jon Parker was introduced as my Client Advisor. Jon was super personable and very knowledgeable about the cars and could answer every question I had. The great thing about BMW of Stratham is that because of the extensive inventory they have, it is possible to see nearly every exterior and interior colour option, as well as all the various packages and individual options. The other thing that was impressive was that they actually had manual transmission cars in inventory to test drive. Once we finished the test drives, Jon and I went thru the entire order sheet to price out the car "built to order". They came up with a fair price, and trade for my existing car and with that we had a deal. Steve Baker in finance was super helpful to work with and explaining the BMWFS info so I had a clear understanding of my options. Never once during the sales/finance process did I feel pressured or rushed, I was allowed the time to make up my mind. I had no intention of ordering a car the day I did a test drive - and have never done that in the past - so that speaks volumes about how comfortable and non-pressured I felt throughout the whole process. Next up was the excruciating wait for the car to arrive. My car arrived in 7 weeks (but it felt like 14 - lol). Jon was amazing with the follow-up after the order. He immediately sent my order number and VIN as soon as it was available. This info allowed me to enjoy the tracking process that BMW and their shipping company make available to customers. He would email me and let me know any progress updates, so I think weekly we had contact. The week that the car was due to arrive at the dealership, Jon contacted me to arrange delivery and Steve contacted me regarding the finance interest rate because BMWFS had improved their rates from the time that I ordered the car. When my car arrived at the dealership, Jon sent me pictures to show it was there. On delivery day, Jon was very thorough in demonstrating and explaining all the options on my car - again I never felt rushed. Steve was super efficient with all the paperwork with the financing. The deal we originally arrived at never changed (except in my favour with the interest rate), everything was honest and respectful. Overall, I can't say enough great things about the experience of buying a car thru BMW of Stratham. It is interesting because I'm on some BMW forums and there are always horror stories about other dealerships sales experience/follow-up...BMW of Stratham (Jon Parker in particular) are clearly in a different league than most I read about. Would I recommend buying a car from them - absolutely, I already have! More
My wife and I stopped by BMW of Stratham after a not so pleasant experience at another dealership earlier in the day and started walking around the lot. In less than an hour we had test driven two cars and arrived on a car and price that allowed us to buy a much nicer car than we had anticipated being in our price range. In just 48 hours the dealership had prepped and certified our 528xi BMW and we were able to drive off with my wife's new car. The courtesy Kurt and the Sales team showed us was great and felt genuine. We still love the car and the deal and will be back I'm sure as now I need a new BMW! More
This was by far the best experience I have had at any dealership, there was never any pressure to do anything and always a helping hand to get what I want. After living In Las Vegas for a short period and owning a 5 series BMW, I can tell you for sure that BMW of Stratham goes above and beyond the call of duty. I bought 2 BMW's in less than 2 months. I had a pr 5 series BMW, I can tell you for sure that BMW of Stratham goes above and beyond the call of duty. I bought 2 BMW's in less than 2 months. I had a previous non-BMW relationship with the general manager Joel Ginsberg about 2 years ago. I kept his card, just in case I was ever in the market for a new BMW. I called him and he remembered me. He set me up with Kurt Baitz, my sales advisor. The experience was exceptional in every way. I perchased a CPO Z4. Then about 6 weeks later I bought a new 328xi. There was no funny business, no hidden sales charges, everything was up front and legit. I never felt any pressure. After taking delivery of the Z4, they delivered it by the way, there was an issue with the code for the bluetooth. They picked up the car, left me a loaner and took the car all the way back to the dealer to have the computer read the correct code and delivered my car back with the same amount of gas it left with, amazing. When I took delivery of the 328 as I was leaving the dealer, a rock broke my new windshield! Again they picked up the car, 70 miles away, and left me a loaner for a week. (long story) weather delayed the new parts. The car was delivered back to me washed and cleaned. The person who handled the windshield was named Diane, she was great. The servise advisor, Adam helped this old guy with my ipod, never had one and did not know how to work it, he was very patient and professional. Tia,told me which ipod to buy that was compatable with the new car. This dealer is truly one of a kind and I will buy another one from them. 5 stars all the way. The pick up and delivery service is the main reason I chose this dealer, living so far away. Perfect, keep up the good work. More
My experience with IRA BMW while researching cars was terrific. They were very friendly to me and my family and took as much time as we needed to look at a few different vehicles. At one point our children were getting restless and without missing a beat, Jason pulled out crayons and paper and they couldn't have been more delighted. Jason took me for test drives of three vehicles: a sedan, a coupe and an SUV to help me decide. There was no pressure to buy at any point neither from Jason nor from the sales manager. Jason also followed up in a couple days with an email to say thank you which was appreciated. I did not end up buying a BMW. However, if in the future I do decide that's the route I want to go, Ira BMW in Stratham will be my first and likely only choice. More
