Horrible experience I brought my 2008 335i in to have the blower motor wiring harness replaced under a recall. The recall was completed in a timely manner and my vehicle I brought my 2008 335i in to have the blower motor wiring harness replaced under a recall. The recall was completed in a timely manner and my vehicle was returned to me, which was very helpful. However, not even 24 hours after having the recall performed, my vehicle began to give an error message on my HUD for every exterior light. All of my lights did and still do function properly, but an error message comes up for each and my turn signals cycle rapidly as if I had a bulb out. I contacted my advisor, Lonnie, and informed him of the issue at hand. He advised me to bring my vehicle back down and I obliged. On the first visit, I was informed that they were not able to find any issues with the vehicle, even though they could blatantly see I was having problems. I asked if they could try again the next day and I would arrange transportation and I agreed to pay for a diagnostic and any repairs necessary if they were not caused by the work performed during the recall. On my third visit down, I asked to speak with the service manager to see what could be done, but Lonnie caught me before the receptionist lead me to the managers office and asked that I didn’t “flex my customer muscle”, which was extremely rude as well as unprofessional. I left my vehicle with them anyway to see if they would finally be able to diagnose the issue, but I received a call later on in the day blaming the brand of aftermarket LED bulbs used for my halos, reverse and tag lights. Those bulbs had been installed on my vehicle for 3 years without cause for concern, but I replaced them anyway. Upon replacement, i actually discovered that the tag lights were OEM BMW part numbers and were in perfect functioning condition, but I replaced them anyhow. Fast forward to now and I’ve been attempting to contact not only Lonnie, but the service manager as well with no correspondence received back despite many attempts and many voicemails left. The entire situation from start to now has been extremely distasteful and I’m not sure why any customer would be treated this way. I’m simply trying to get my vehicle fixed. It was coincidental that my issue arised after having the recall performed, hence why I agreed to pay for any diagnostics or repairs if they were found to not be caused by shoddy work, but now I’m wondering if they found out that it was something caused by their technician and that’s why my issue is being swept under the rug. I would love for someone in management to reach out to me and help resolve my issues. More
