Terrific Buying Experience! My first experience with a BMW dealer turned out to be among the best car-buying experiences ever. Joel Ruff at BMW of Asheville, NC, first determined what I wanted, walked me through what cars had what features, and then left me alone to choose. Once I had selected my car of choice Joel was prompt with follow-up, answered all questions thoroughly and quickly. I never felt alone or uninformed during this buying process. If you want a pleasant car-buying experience, I unreservedly recommend Joel Ruff. More

Terrific buying experience I've owned BMW's continuously since 1987 and just purchased my eighth car through Joel Ruff at BMW of Asheville. Joel had been my trusted Service Advi I've owned BMW's continuously since 1987 and just purchased my eighth car through Joel Ruff at BMW of Asheville. Joel had been my trusted Service Advisor at the dealership before moving to sales, so I knew him to be extremely knowledgeable about all things BMW. More importantly, after over 15 years of dealing with Joel, I also knew him to be a forthright and honorable person. So I was glad to be able to have him now be my sales representative, as I felt I could trust him. As things turned-out, I was right. He found me a terrific one-owner, low mileage 5-series (just 5,000/year!) at an unexpectedly low price. I highly recommend him. More

They offered me less than 50% of NC property tax value, and one third less than the Kelly Blue Book value for dealer trade in. They have an online estimated value on the BMW dealership website and my offer was almost one half of it. Greenville and other dealerships are not that far away. I won't be back. More
Deceived I would caution strongly against anyone who takes their vehicles in for service at Bmw Asheville. Approximately two years ago when our BMW X5 start I would caution strongly against anyone who takes their vehicles in for service at Bmw Asheville. Approximately two years ago when our BMW X5 started having issues Just under 40,000 miles, we brought it into the Bmw o Asheville For service. We noticed that there is smoke coming out of the exhaust and we were having to put in almost 1 quart of oil into the engine every two weeks before the oil indicator would come on. We were told "that's what these big engines do and “it is normal”. Over the next two years we had multiple items fail on this vehicle and repeatedly brought the vehicle to BMW Asheville...and all this time we continued to pour oil into the vehicle. By now, it has gotten so bad that it is embarrassing to drive this car due to the smoke billowing out of the exhaust. All this time the BMW dealer told us that this was normal to burn oil, but there might be an oil leak, but it would cost “thousands to find and fix the leak”. In the end we spent probably $3000 or more on repairs with them all to find out that this engine has been involved in a class action lawsuit. We finally brought it to a different dealer who immediately performed a "oil consumption test" and we were told that we need a new engine. Unfortunately now that it has 70,000 miles on it, instead of 40,000 miles when we first complained about the oil issues, we need to pay another $3500 for this. At NO time did BMW of Asheville ever recommended the oil consumption test, at no time did they ever tell us anything about the class action lawsuit or the steps that Bmw was taking to try and remedy a clearly faulty engine. BMW of Asheville was completely dishonest in their representation of the issues that were going on with our BMW. I would highly recommend that anyone stay away from This dealer, and BMWs in general. This is been a horrible experience. We had been loyal Bmw customer's but no more. After three BMWs buying a car that is now essentially worthless despite only having 70,000 miles on it now is ridiculous. More
