If I could rate their service center minus infinite stars I would. I've had better treatment from the non-luxury dealers I've dealt with in the past. When buying a mid-tier luxury brand car you expect that p I would. I've had better treatment from the non-luxury dealers I've dealt with in the past. When buying a mid-tier luxury brand car you expect that part of the additional price you pay is for better service. The receptionist is rude and incompetent. Be prepared to wait 45 min to an hour beyond any listed appointment. Loaner cars can be hard to come by. I noticed problems with my X5 right away. When the vehicle would run out of electricity and switch to gas it would lurch and shudder violently. We took the car in and they couldn't replicate the issue and told us it was probably fine. The check engine light in my car came on this week. I plugged the car in like normal at the end of the day in my garage. After reaching 100% charge at 1:30 am my BMW app on my phone received a termination message and the car stopped charging. I came out in the morning to drive the car and the electrical system was completely dead, no power to anything. I called BMW Alexandria to report the problem. The receptionist said someone would call me back but several hours later no one had called. My wife called back to follow up stating we were stranded with no car and unable to get it out of the garage and asked what to do. The receptionist rudely exclaimed that we would have to have the car towed in to the Alexandria service center on our own expense. This didn't make sense to me as the car was a 2022 model and clearly under warranty and BMW roadside assistance. I called BMW Fairfax and the receptionist was amazing. She asked me for my make and model and pulled up my vehicle record. She said my vehicle was covered by roadside assistance and that she was scheduling an appointment and also connecting me to a roadside assistance rep. A truck showed up immediately and towed the car into BMW Fairfax and a service rep called me right away to discuss the issues I was having. Alexandria service just called me a few minutes ago to follow up and ask what the issue I was having with the car. I said "thanks, but you're more than a day late, I've already had the car towed to Fairfax and they are already diagnosing it." This place will do whatever it takes to sell you a car and then once you are a customer they will treat you like you don't exist. I will never buy a car from this place ever again. Do yourself a favor and read the reviews of BMW Alexandria and compare them to the other DC area dealerships and you will see that there is a reason why their reviews are consistently a full star lower than the other BMW dealerships in the area. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. You've been warned! There's plenty of other dealers to choose from in the area, you don't need to be treated as less than human when paying this much for a car. More

Here are the true facts: - I have a BMW M3 2022 with carbon fiber skirts on the side (no lo stars. This was by far one the worse experiences ever. Here are the true facts: - I have a BMW M3 2022 with carbon fiber skirts on the side (no lower kit) so the car is sitting at 7” to 8” from the ground. - I set up an appointment for a scheduled oil/filter change and we’re told by the service representative that it would take up to 3 hours top for everything to be done.. therefore I went ahead and set the appointment from a weekday to Saturday so it can be done without any work schedule conflicts. - I arrived at 0930 as scheduled, the representative took the keys and drove the car to the back. - Around 12:15, I received a call from the services representative telling me that the Services manager instructed him to tell me that the mechanics refused to do the services since they cannot lift the car because the side skirts spoilers are on the way, and they do not have the proper equipment to lift the vehicle. - Not only I waisted 2:15 of my precious weekend waiting for the services to be done, but this people have the tremendous audacity to tell me that the services will take 3 hours to be done, when in reality the did not touch the car or were concerned about it for a period of 2 hours and 15 minutes. - While speaking with the Dealership General manager, he chooses to tell the customers that he doesn’t have the facts about why the mechanics are not willing to do the services, but that he believes that they are refusing to do the services due to their fear of damaging the side skirts. Further, he supports their mechanics assessment of reaching out to BMW of Fairfax and have them do the services since they are all under the impression that they have the proper equipment to complete the services and the right tools to do it. - BMW of Sterling has done the previous oil changes for this car without any issues and with the side skirts on. Their service rep has already assured me that they will take care of my car even with the side skirts mounted. - took the car a subject matter expert on carbon fiber skirts and spoilers and he even said “your car doesn’t even have a prop kit mounted and it can be put on a lift!” To say that it cannot be lifted it is strange. - hours after leaving the dealership, I received a call from the dealership telling me that they are still a bit behind doing other people’s services and that they will soon complete mine… which makes me believe that the right hand it in not communicating with the left! Upon explaining my situation to this maintenance tech, he notified me that his department director will contact me at a later day to get more details about what took place. Bottom line is this: why a dealership is telling customers that it will take them 3 hours to perform an oil and filter change, when in reality takes one hour and 30 mins tops? Why a dealership makes a customer wait two hours and 15 mins to tell a customer we cannot get anything done with your car? - lessons learned: I will never set foot on this dealership again… Period! More

Consistently disappointing experience using BMW of Alexandria and BMW of Fairfax, despite having bought a brand new car from them. Luxury pricing but without luxury service. Don't answer the phone, wont offer a loaner, won't bother to keep orderly records of what service they promised and who spoke to the insurance company. Cheap about the service contract being a few weeks overdue so they wont provide the service they agreed to when I bought the car. Honestly, I am in the market to upgrade to a larger car and even though I love my BMWX3 as a vehicle, I will not buy another BMW based on my consistently frustrating experience trying to get some help from these dealerships. I'm going to try another luxury SUV instead and hope that the accompanying service is better. More

Erin, my trusty sales rep, hopped in with me and immediately started bedazzling me with the car's endless features. It felt like a tech-savvy rollercoaster ride! Woooh! Unlike my previous pit stop at Fairfax BMW, where the sales rep seemed to think the car's features were top-secret and left me baffled. But Erin? Oh, she turned that test drive into a joyride- thanks for risking your life with my constant hard braking! Now, let's talk trade-in. Erin and I had some fancy footwork negotiating, but she smoothly waltzed over to her sales manager, and together they orchestrated a trade-in deal that finally got me nodding in agreement. Erin didn't just seal the deal- she stayed committed to helping me with all the tiny details post-purchase. That's dedication and character, folks! 👏 And let's not forget Mustafa, our finance magician. He dazzled me with his paperwork prowess, making the finalizing process feel less like a high-stakes card game and more like two friends chatting over lunch. In a nutshell, this was the second time in my life I left a dealership as happy as a kid in a candy store (the first was an Audi dealership, but that's another story).
