Dealing with Keim Preowned has to be one of the best experiances at a dealership. My saleman, Paul took the time to find out what i was looking for in a truck and explained everything to me. He also let experiances at a dealership. My saleman, Paul took the time to find out what i was looking for in a truck and explained everything to me. He also let me take the time i needed to look the truck over and stayed with me even though it was snowing. The whole staff was pleasent from the moment my wife and i walked into the show room. I would recomend Keim Preowned and look forward to doing business in the future. More
A stereotypical Used Car dealer and accompanying employees. When buying, I was surprised to be hit with so many basic and clearly obvious sales 'techniques.' I checked out a few other cars at other employees. When buying, I was surprised to be hit with so many basic and clearly obvious sales 'techniques.' I checked out a few other cars at other places while I was in the area, and was told there were (insert exaggerated number) people who called/stopped by interested in the same car while I was gone. Really?? It sits on the lot for close to a year but then all of a sudden gets all of these inquiries? Got the same story as well when I went to pick it up. There were a few things that one would expect to be standard with a car, including all 4 floormats instead of only 3. This, along with a few other things, were going to be "taken care of" before taking delivery of the car. Surprise, nothing was done about it... with no reflection in price either because "we're already close to losing money on it." More
Overall my experience was very good. The whole staff I met was very nice and helpful. I had been looking for a vehicle for a few weeks and set up a time with my step mom to go looking after school on Friday and every place we stopped closed at 5pm. Keim Plus however was open till 8pm. I was very pleased about that too cause I am in school and have 2 jobs so i don't get alot of free time. Also I was in and out pretty quickly:) More
My husband and I recently visited Keim Pre-Owned in Lancaster, Pa., looking for a used minivan. We were greeted by Nathan Weisser, who made us feel very much at ease. Paul Davis and the rest of the sales team were great! Service Department was not and lacking in the word service! One month after I bought my used vehicle, I'm still waiting on an owners manual! My husband and I were looking for an Audi and we saw the Acura on the lot. It was raining and dark (our fault for looking at cars). We liked it so we went in to discuss numbers with Paul. This was late a Acura on the lot. It was raining and dark (our fault for looking at cars). We liked it so we went in to discuss numbers with Paul. This was late at night and it was close to closing time. Paul spoke with John and they came out with an offer on my 2007 Eclipse. The offer seemed good, but he said "if we were willing to buy the car that night" so I told them we would think on it and get back with them tomorrow. They continuously pushed after I repeatedly said I had to get my daughter home to bed. I asked them to check what financing we could get and we would call tomorrow. I asked how long the car had been on the lot and was told it was only a week or so and others had been interested. They pushed us to the max and I was excited about the car so we finally agreed. I signed all the papers as fast as we could. I told them I WAS NOT taking the Acura home that night because I had to get my daughter to bed (again) and I had some things to get out of my car. Paul and John both said I should take it that night and I had to REFUSE to let my Eclipse there. When I went home, I researched on the internet with other price points since we were originally looking for an Audi. I found that teh price was good so it seemed even better. I reviewed the car on Keim's website noting there was what looked like a DVD player in the trunk? When we went the next day to pick up the car, Paul and john walked us out, took a picture, and basically sent us on our way. I remembered about the DVD so I got out to look while still on their parking lot (raining again). Thank goodness Scott from their service department who then (after be sent away) came over and advised me since I was looking at the unit, it was actually the navigation system and it did not work. We had no idea and assumed we had to set something up with satelite in order to get the navigation to work, not knowing it was a CD that Scott told us was stuck in the unit. He told us to call and set up an appt. he would get it fixed. We set up the first appointment for the navigation and noted there was a vibration in the front of the vehicle. When we took it in for the navigation, we were told the CD was not stuck in it, they had to order a new one and install that. When my husband asked about the vibration (motor mount), he was told they were not aware and we would have to make another appointment! We waited approximately 3 weeks until I finally called and asked about the navigation unit. Scott advised they only had two in the country (one in California and one in Florida, I think). He said he would be in touch. He called three days later and we set up the appointment and we again made sure they were aware of the motor mount. My husband went and had the work done with no problems. Then... you would think on a car lot, they would have the oil changed and the filters at least in good shape to sell the car. The sticker for the oil change said the mileage or 9/11? I bought the car in 10/11? We took it to get the oil changed, the guy said the oil hadn't been changed in quite some time and it must have sat on their lot for awhile. The fuel filter and air filter were so nasty when they pulled them out. We had to replace them only owning the car for about 7 weeks or so. To top off the entire thing , the car has paint chips EVERYWHERE!!! Of course, being our fault for going in the rain and dark, but WOW, customer service??? I have to get the entire car painted to get back what the car is worth (quoted $2000.00) They sold a car as quick as possible because it had been sitting on their lot for awhile or just needed a sale. John was SO rude to Paul and the other older gentleman in the office. I even made a comment to that man that he was rude! These types of dealerships need to be closed down for dishonest employees. Not telling someone something (paint, oil change, navigation, motor mount) is not telling the truth of the vehicle. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND KEIM TO ANYONE AND I FEEL BAD FOR ANYONE THAT GOES THERE!!! I made sure to take the license plate and sticker off my car! I am not doing any advertising for this place!! Scott in the service department was very helpful and very nice to my husband. When I would call him, he always made sure I understood what was going on even though he knew we were not happy with the sales department or the entire purchase for that matter! More
The only reason I went to Keim was to check out SUVs I had no plans to actually buy that day, but Paul was so easy going that I felt really relaxed and trusted him. We had a great experience purchasing a used car from Kenny. The car needed a little bit of work, which was taken care of quickly, before we picked it up. After returning home to the Philadelphia area, Kenny. The car needed a little bit of work, which was taken care of quickly, before we picked it up. After returning home to the Philadelphia area, we discovered one more service item that needed attention. We were able to take care of it locally, and Keim handled the paperwork with our dealer over the phone. Overall, a great experience from start to finish. Thank you! More
This was my first purchase on a "newer" car from a dealership. Every other vehicle I got out private loans and bought cars privately, but I had terrible luck with every one.
