Absolutely worst service department we have ever dealt with. We bought a brand new Veloster and from day one the steering wheel have been off center. Bad enough to drive anyone crazy while driving. Took t with. We bought a brand new Veloster and from day one the steering wheel have been off center. Bad enough to drive anyone crazy while driving. Took the car in for it's free first oil change and get the steering wheel straightened out. They took all day to get the oil changed and they didn't even straighten the wheel. They said it would take another day to straighten the wheel.. Are you kidding me? A whole day to perform a 1.5 HOUR job. So know we took it in again, on appointment, and we waited 4 hours and they still haven't started the oil change. FOUR HOURS and still no oil change. And they didn't even straighten the wheel, they said it would take another day. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. PS.... I had a similar situation with my new Tacoma and the Toyota dealer had my oil changed and front end aligned and done in three hours, while I waited. This AutoNation Hyundai dealer needs to send their staff to a Toyota dealer to learn how to run a professional service dept, as they are clueless at the Hyundai dealer. More
I have been a customer of Hyundai of Tempe for years. Recently; the Dealership was purchased by AutoNation. We return to this Dealership because (1) - the Customer Service we ALWAYS receive, is SECOND T Recently; the Dealership was purchased by AutoNation. We return to this Dealership because (1) - the Customer Service we ALWAYS receive, is SECOND TO NONE (2) - Pricing is very reasonable/negotiable and (3) - We LOVE our Hyundai vehicles!! This past experience over the weekend; STILL has my jaw on the floor. I was not " shopping " for a vehicle as I owned a 2012 Hyundai Sonata. I however; stumbled across the site " browsing " and contacted the Dealership via chat box. I proposed a " what if " scenario to trade my vehicle in, stay near the same payment, without having to put any additional money down. I was contacted by our Salesman - Tye. His first contact was impeccable. He understood exactly what I was looking for, called me back within two hours, stating it was definitely a possibility to stop in to the dealership. Now... being a customer of the car business; we know what that usually means. *** Lure the customer to the Dealership and then be advised the " deal " cannot be closed but; we will try to work out another deal, with additional cost of course. *** So; with that being said; I was a bit skeptical. From the moment I walked through the door; Tye displayed the utmost respect, honesty and assistance he could possibly give. I was SHOCKED!! Tye is NOT your " average Salesman " he is on a completely different level. He is so down to earth, and the word I use here with ALL confidence; is GENUINE. He went into GREAT detail about features of the car, which I had never known - (this was our 4th Sonata to purchase!), gave some great tips on various topics such as Service, Roadside Assistance, how to identify your different key sets, etc. It's the LITTLE things that he provided within conversation that sealed my deal with him. He was able to work with Mike, the Sales Manager, and Greg the Finance Manager (Who by the way... were BOTH phenomenal as well!!!) to provide me with EXACTLY what I was looking for, and I drove off the lot with a brand new 2014 Hyundai Sonata, no additional money down and a difference of $ 9.00/month more in payment. THAT Ladies & Gentleman, is a FABULOUS deal!! SOOOOO good in fact? I returned the following day with my Husband, to complete the paperwork on the Sonata and we purchased a SECOND vehicle - a 2013 Hyundai Elantra!!! Will I return to AutoNation Hyundai Tempe? YOU BET. Will I refer EVERYONE I know to this Dealership - to Tye, Mike and Greg? MOST DEFINITELY YES! If you wish to have the best " Buying Experience " of your next vehicle, VISIT AutoNation Hyundai of Tempe, and ask for Tye. You will be taken care of the MOMENT you make contact with him and you WILL get the BEST DEAL around... BAR NONE. More
I went there for a simple recall that my old 2010 Sonata had. David Aldrich gave me such a good customer service, he treated me like I was paying for the services I needed it. Larry Gavin was more than exc had. David Aldrich gave me such a good customer service, he treated me like I was paying for the services I needed it. Larry Gavin was more than excellent when I asked questions even thought I told him I was not going to buy anything, he treated me super awesome.... when Greg from the financial department (I don't remember his last name) was ready for me to sign the papers to finalize the sale he called me. As I was getting up my chair I grinned my face. Greg saw it and he showed concern and he made sure that I was happy before we entered to his office to sign papers. Those guys were friendly and courteous. they made my shopping experience an excellent one... I give them all a 10. Excuse my writing English is my second language. More

Okay just buy some paint not buy a car from you. got the paint and waited for 5 Hyundai Sonata. The person talked with me look like I owed her money. Okay just buy some paint not buy a car from you. got the paint and waited for 5 minutes no body talked with me. The lady sited front the computer didn't look at me even I stood beside her waiting to pay money almost 5 mins. Can I pay the paint? woo, you have to wait until has the invoice. what? How long do I have to wait the invoice? slow, the computer is very slow. really? has computer should be faster. Buying a car can be stressful especially being a young women. I didn't want to feel like i was taken advantage of. I visited a number of local dealerships looking for the perfect car. I did find some cars women. I didn't want to feel like i was taken advantage of. I visited a number of local dealerships looking for the perfect car. I did find some cars I liked but I was turned off by salesman. They were pushy, rude, making you feel obligated to buy so I just walked away. One of my close friends had just bought an Elantra from this dealership and she referred me to Joshua Gavin. When I arrived there I asked for Joshua. He was so professional, just down to earth kind of guy & very straightforward. He showed me the cars in my price range and was knowledgeable about every car. He was so easy to work with and made my 1st car buying experience completely stress free. I never felt pressured into buying a car like in the other dealerships. He got me a great deal on the car. I have referred my friends and family to go to Hyundai of Tempe & they have all worked with Joshua. Their experience was pressure free like mine & loved working with Joshua. So if anyone is looking to buy a Hyundai and want the best car buying experience I highly recommend working with Joshua Gavin. oh BTW.. I Love my Sonata More
My husband and I purchased a used vehicle last year with no issues. We recently traded in the vehicle and had to go back to this dealership to cancel the warranty on the old vehicle. We were told Gregory Kr no issues. We recently traded in the vehicle and had to go back to this dealership to cancel the warranty on the old vehicle. We were told Gregory Krause was the person we needed to meet with to handle this process. "WHAT A JOKE!!" My husband intially went into the office and waited almost 45 min to meet with Gregory because he was supposdly in a "meeting". My husband could see him laughing and hanging out with some coworkers for at least 20 minutes (diffentlely was not a meeting)Once Gregory came in he advised my husband what he needed to provide to complete the process and assured my husband once he received the information he would take care of it. We were able to get the information faxed to Gregory the same day . My husband followed up with Gregory the following week to confirm he had recieved the informtion. Gregory confirmed he had received the information but had not processed the paperwork. I followed up with Gregory 08/5/13 via email and recieved a very rude and unprofessional email response from Gregory. I am very disappointed in the level of service we have received from Gregory. Although we were not in to purchase a vehicle at this time we are still customers and should be treated as such. Its truly unfortunate that one person can put a bad taste in your mouth in regards to a business, but at this time I can assure you I will not be doing business with this company in the future. More
Hyundai of Tempe sold me a car 2 years ago, and as part of the deal I got a 5 year 100k mile extended warranty. I asked about the warranty and they said it was a 100k extension and it would cover my car up of the deal I got a 5 year 100k mile extended warranty. I asked about the warranty and they said it was a 100k extension and it would cover my car up to 154k (because my car had 54k on it at the time), which I thought was really neat. The warranty paperwork had x marks on the "other" for maximum mileage and for the length. I did not notice they had marked n/a in the field where they were supposed to put 154k because they showed me on their computer system where it said 154k. Recently I brought my car in for warranty service and got a note back the next day that my claim was denied because my coverage was expired. They had in their system that my warranty was only to 100k. My service manager showed me on their computer that they still have 154k listed as the max mileage on the warranty. So I contacted my dealer and the GM said that was what I had purchased, and when I told him my experience he said over and over that "I must have misunderstood" and "if I would have read the contract...", and that his guys wouldn't have told me that because it's not something they offer. He said he'd see what he could do for me and 5 days later quoted me 10% off the repairs... He's not even TRYING! Unfortunately I signed a document waving my right to take them to court over the matter, leaving arbitration as my only option. I'm livid about the whole thing, but really my best option may be to trade the car in while it still is in working condition and get something with a proper warranty from a dealership that's not ripping people off. I took my car in to get the timing belt changed and because the air conditioning wasn't blowing as cold as before. They checked the car over and said that it was leaking Freon at the Compressor and th because the air conditioning wasn't blowing as cold as before. They checked the car over and said that it was leaking Freon at the Compressor and the Evaporator Core. It was going to cost $1920.00 to fix the air conditioning. Living in Arizona, with 100+ degree heat that was very upsetting to me. On a friend's advice, I took the car to her local mechanic for a second opinion. He hooked up the car to the gauges while I was watching and showed be that according to Hyundai's own specifications, the air was running perfectly but may be less than a pound low in Freon (pretty normal for a car that is 8 years old and less than $20.00 to fix). He also followed all the hoses with a black light, and did not find any traces of a Freon leak anywhere near the Compressor or the Evaporator Core. Needless to say I will NEVER trust Hyundai of Tempe again for any of my cars service. I can't believe they told me I needed almost $2000.00 worth of word for something that wasn't even a problem. BAD BUSINESS. More
