The history of Audi Hoffman Estates started off as Schaumburg Audi in 1990. When our current president and owner, who had worked for Audi of America for over a decade, purchased the rights for the Audi franchise from O’hare Porsche-Audi and opened the first exclusive (stand alone) Audi dealership in the United States (at the time 320 W Golf Road, Schaumburg, IL). The original Schaumburg Audi building lasted from 1990-2001 when in the same location a new “hangar style” design building was completed to comply with the latest Audi regulations. Our newest facility opened on July 1, 2013 as Audi Hoffman Estates at 1200 W. Golf Road, Hoffman Estates IL.

Scott, Before the recall came out for airbag recently, we had not seen your vehicle in for service in over two years, in fact it had been nearly four years since your last service visit, not a loyal client by any means. Again, as previously discussed, we did not damage your CD changer in any way, shape or form. Therefore, why would we pay for a replacement CD changer for a client when we did not cause any damage to your ten year old vehicle, and the fact that you are not a loyal client to the dealer? We did offer to replace the changer at employee cost for you in order to extend that olive branch, and I'm sorry if that was not good enough for you. At no time did I or anyone here call you a liar regarding your changer, nor would we ever do that. Unfortunately, sometime during the three weeks after your recall was performed and the time you called to tell us that it stopped working, it is understandable that you would want to place the blame on someone. Unfortunately, it is being misdirected at us instead of realizing that fact that you have a ten year old vehicle and sometimes items stop working, as is the case with your CD changer that has an internal malfunction, again something we could not have caused short of dismantling the changer and breaking something. Virtually impossible since we did not even remove the changer from the glove box. Our offer stands, if you want it replaced, we will be happy to do it for you at the employee price of $535.00 plus tax as discussed. Andy
