The Worst Car-Buying Experience I Have Ever Had — Aston Martin Detroit Purchasing a brand-new Aston Martin should be an exceptional experience. Unfortunately, my experience with Aston Martin Detroit was Martin Detroit Purchasing a brand-new Aston Martin should be an exceptional experience. Unfortunately, my experience with Aston Martin Detroit was one of the worst I have ever had purchasing a vehicle. Initially, working with Candace seemed promising. We negotiated the numbers, and communication was responsive at first. However, as the deal progressed, communication deteriorated to the point that I had to repeatedly follow up with the dealership just to complete a transaction they were supposed to be facilitating. Throughout the process, I provided every requested document promptly and did my part to ensure a smooth purchase. I specifically asked the dealership to coordinate shipping and made two very clear requests: that photographs of the vehicle be taken before loading and that the shipper notify me of the delivery date and arrival time because my location might change. Both requests were ignored. The shipping experience was equally unacceptable. The driver called me on the day of the scheduled delivery, claiming he needed to work on his own vehicle's brakes and would not deliver mine until the following day. He subsequently arrived at night and refused to allow me to inspect the vehicle before demanding payment exclusively through Zelle. Upon inspecting my vehicle, I immediately noticed damage and contacted Candace. When I asked about the pre-shipping photographs I had specifically requested, she told me her manager had taken pictures and would send them during the day. Despite my request, those photographs were never provided. The following day, when I took the vehicle to be washed because it had arrived filthy, the car wash employee brought extensive paint damage to my attention. I immediately contacted Candace and the general manager to explain the situation. Rather than taking the matter seriously and investigating what had happened, their response was dismissive. Kristopher Chamber, the General Sales Manager, stated that Aston Martin was responsible for the damage because vehicles are buffed at the port. He instructed me to send him the repair invoice and said he would pay for it. I did exactly what he requested and sent the invoice the following day. Despite his representation, both he and Candace subsequently refused to pay for the repairs or take the vehicle back. What makes this situation even more frustrating is that the dealership had provided me with photographs and a video of the vehicle before the damage was discovered. Those materials are important evidence in establishing the vehicle's earlier condition, yet the dealership has failed to address my concerns appropriately. Since then, getting anyone to take responsibility has been an uphill battle. My calls have gone unanswered, and a matter that should have been handled professionally and transparently has turned into an exhausting dispute. I purchased a brand-new Aston Martin expecting the level of professionalism, accountability, and customer service associated with the brand. Instead, I experienced poor communication, ignored instructions, an unacceptable delivery process, extensive paint damage, and a failure to honor a commitment made by the General Sales Manager. The issue is not simply the damage to the car. It is how Aston Martin Detroit handled the situation after being notified. I expected the dealership to investigate, review the available pre-delivery documentation, and stand behind its commitments. That did not happen. I would strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership to document every interaction, obtain photographs and videos of the vehicle before shipment, and get all shipping and damage-related commitments in writing. This has been an incredibly disappointing experience, and I would not recommend Aston Martin Detroit based on my experience. A luxury brand deserves a dealership that treats its customers with professionalism, integrity, a More
If you're looking for the worst dealership, you found it. Kris the GM is to but it bluntly incompetent. How LaFontaine allows him such a role is totally mind blowing. Leased a car from them out of state and Kris the GM is to but it bluntly incompetent. How LaFontaine allows him such a role is totally mind blowing. Leased a car from them out of state and they waited weeks to ship it "because they wanted there money first." Despite the fact that I was already making payments on it. They delivered it with no floor mats, no accessories and still waiting for the other key over six months later. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS THEy ARE AWFUL Trust me they deserve zero stars. More
Horrible experience. DD, the sales person was very nice and very thorough. Once we agreed on a price, that is when things started to go wrong. Paperwork was emailed an DD, the sales person was very nice and very thorough. Once we agreed on a price, that is when things started to go wrong. Paperwork was emailed and signed the next day. Delivery was to be done within the next 2 weeks. Delivery was supposed to be scheduled for a Florida delivery before March 30, 2026. Around March 28th, I inquired about the delivery. Was told that they weren’t going to be able to deliver the vehicle by March 30th. Advised DD that the vehicle can be delivered to Cleveland on April 15th or 16th. This was a two week notice just like the first delivery. Called again on the 14th to make sure delivery was scheduled. It was not. Was told they can’t get it delivered on the 15th or 16th. I asked again why this couldn’t be delivered. Was told they couldn’t get it scheduled. I asked the to drive it the 2 1/2 hours and delivery it. Was told, by a sales manager, that cost too much. Delivery was finally make around the 23rd of April. Now, they claim the title to the vehicle has been lost. I have called 3 times in 3 weeks and was told they would get back to me. Haven’t heard anything. This is supposed to be a high end dealer but has been a nightmare. DO NOT USE THIS DEALER! More

Because of my conversations with Scott, we decided to make the trip and Scott gave us recommendations of places to stop on the way to visit and eat. Everything about this transaction, vehicle price and trade in offer, was perfect. Thank you, Scott. More
