I was about to give up on shopping for a Nissan and just buy something else. I decided to give it one last shot at Arlington Nissan. It's a Bob Rohrman store and I've seen his commercials forever since I grew up in Algonquin. I figured maybe his store had some half way competent employees. I was greeted by a man named Ronnie Brazier. He had a very positive attitude and took his time and listened to exactly what I wanted. We test drove the Altima one last time and then he brought me the figures. To my surprise he gave me a great price right off the bat. No negotiating. It was a little higher than I thought I could haggle him down to, but I paid a couple hundred dollars more for Ronnie's great service. It took a little bit of time to get the paperwork and the car ready. While I was waiting the GM of the store AC Hengler came out and introduced himself and gave me a tour of the service area. He also gave me my first oil change for free. Dan Fitzsimmons did my paperwork for me and fully explained everything to me so I could understand it all. This took a little bit of a long time. It's the only thing that I would say they need to work on. Overall, I score it the best experience I have ever had buying a car. Definitely go see Ronnie if you ever want to buy a Nissan. More

To the General Manager of Arlington Nissan, I wanted to take a minute to explain that I had a very pleasant experience at your facility yesterday. I purchased my car there approximately 6 years ago and have had it serviced routinely at your dealership. I have had a variety of experiences during those years, ranging from average to pretty good. Yesterday was better than any other time. I want to compliment the time that your Service Manager Rob Hayward took with me. I did not have any specific need, I just needed a quick oil change and was there for my appointment. I pulled in at a busy time, all of your service attendants were busy helping others or on the phone. Rob must have saw me looking around. He came and greeted me and processed my service. Something I did not expect as I am sure that he has other managerial responsibilities and I have never been helped or greeted by any other service manager in the past. What was different this time from my other experiences is the he was friendly and attentive. He took the time to double check my demographic information and make sure to get my cell phone and email address. I have been to your place at least 25 times and no one has ever bothered to put my cell phone into your database, yet they have to ask it every time to make sure they can get in touch with me during the service. Similarly, he made sure to get my email address into your system. I have routinely asked to be put in there as I wanted to be notified of specials going on. Some said they have tried, but he took the time to put it in the database without my request. We chatted about technology and he continued to explain that he is working hard to train his staff and that the texting initiative is really a good step for you and your business. I am in the software business. I understand the need for a good customer database. Rob understands it also. Throughout my visit we had two or three good interactions. He made me feel welcomed and appreciated, something I had often missed during my 25 – 30 visits there. All I was there for was a simple oil change, not a traveler broken down or a regular customer with a huge service need. Yet, his attitude made a difference for me. I had vowed to always have my car dealer serviced after I bought it. It is not convenient for me as it is about 15 minutes in the wrong direction from my normal travels. And lately I had been toying with the idea of having it serviced at another dealer or even at a regular shop. Because of my experience with Rob yesterday, I have stopped looking and I will be returning to Arlington Nissan for my service. I know changing staff is often a difficult move. If Rob trains his staff to interact with customers like he did with me yesterday, making him your new service manager was a great switch. More
This dealership was the first one we went to when looking for a new car. They had a number of cars in stock in the model we wanted, but when we told them we were looking for a lower version of the vehicle i for a new car. They had a number of cars in stock in the model we wanted, but when we told them we were looking for a lower version of the vehicle in question they told us what we were looking for didn't exist. We had already done some research and knew that what we wanted did, in fact, exist. When we asked them to give us a price on something comparable to what we were looking for, they quoted a price more than $3,000 higher than our research indicated was appropriate. They were very sleazy and I would not recommend them to anyone. Go to Mid City Nissan in Chicago instead. They were wonderful. More

Bought a vehicle on 7/8/09 and the sales lady (Angie Gluc), very nice service BTW helped me find what I thought was a reasonable car, a Nissan Altima 2002 with only 88k miles at the time. I test drove i Gluc), very nice service BTW helped me find what I thought was a reasonable car, a Nissan Altima 2002 with only 88k miles at the time. I test drove it (drove perfectly) and got back to finalize the deal. We did; at a price I thought was reasonable. At the time of purchase, the sales girl, finance dept. and the sales manager had reassured me that the car came with a 90 day warranty so if there were any latent defects that they would be covered. After I left the dealership, drove away and got home happy thinking I got a great deal. Drove it another 70 miles and noticed the 'service engine soon' light came up. Took time off work that day and went there only to find out that a) the catalytic converter is bad b) the 90 day warranty doesnot cover anything (only temporarily turns off the check engine light) So I got a quote on how much it'll cost me to fix it... appx. $800 on a car I just bought less than 5 days ago. Without a fight, I walk out and drove home with the 'service engine soon' light staring at me the whole way..reminding me that it's because of places like Arlington Nissan, a person becomes so skeptical when it comes to trusting any business' out there. I will continue to drive the car with a bad catalytic converter and hope that someday, they mandate a law against this because due to one business' bad practices the enviroment should not have to suffer.
