Excellent Service Department and Excellent Sales Department! I had been servicing my 2008 Honda CR V at Altoona Honda for 10 years. When it was time to trade (at 234,000 miles) there was no other dealership tha I had been servicing my 2008 Honda CR V at Altoona Honda for 10 years. When it was time to trade (at 234,000 miles) there was no other dealership that I would even consider. The entire Service Department is outstanding. They are so knowledgeable, trustworthy and friendly. More than once, I called for service and Wendy knew why I was calling before I did! They know their vehicles! They knew MY vehicle! I truly believe that the entire service team at Altoona Honda played a key role in keeping me safe and accident free for 10 years. When I made the decision to trade...it was simple..same dealership, same make and same model . My salesman, Ken Lingenfelter, was super. He was straight forward and honest. He worked around my schedule and made the the entire purchasing experience quick and enjoyable. Ken respected the fact that my time was limited. He offered to come in on his day off! Customer service means different things to different people. When I drove away with my new CRV I was not just excited about having a new vehicle, but I felt completely confident in my purchase. (Ken has already followed up with me twice to see if I had any questions) The relationship I have with the Altoona Honda Service Department means a great deal to me. They have never let me down. They have always explained what needed to be done. They have always answered any questions I may have had. They are always pleasant and easy to talk to. They are to me what customer service should be! Thank you! More

I felt the asking price was fair and decided to go see it. I was greeted by a guy named Robby, who was the most friendly and honest salesman I've ever met on a car lot. Robby is the type of guy you hope to meet when you arrive at a dealership. Most of the time, you get the uptight guy who wants to push you into a vehicle you don't want, or fills you full of misinformation to try to get you to buy a car you might not feel comfortable with. Robby answered any questions I had about the car and if he wasn't sure, he found out the answers, rather than guessing or making things up. I could tell right from the start that I was going to like dealing with Altoona Honda. I can't drive without hand controls and my wife was still at work, so Robby took me for a ride in the vehicle. It was a great vehicle, so when we returned to the dealership, Robby went and talked to the sales manager, Matt. Matt was very friendly as well, and made me a fair offer on my trade. It did take a little negotiating, but I understand the dealership has to make money as well, and we did eventually come to an agreement we both felt was fair. The listing showed that the vehicle had a feature that we found it actually lacked, and Matt also agreed, without my asking, to take $200 off for that mistake. Most dealerships barely apologize for an inaccurate listing, let alone offer to take any money off for their mistakes. I was very pleasantly surprised by this experience! After agreeing to a deal, we met Josiah, in the finance department. Josiah answered every question we had, whether it was regarding our credit or the available extended warranty options, or anything else. In addition to being friendly and professional, Josiah was a wealth of knowledge and didn't fast talk or use terms we wouldn't understand. He made it easy to understand what can be a very complicated part of purchasing a new vehicle. Just last week, I received a check in the mail for $25 because the dealership had accidentally charged me $25 too much for fees when I made my purchase. I would have never known the difference, but the good and honest people at Altoona Honda still refunded that money. I also asked before we made the deal if the dealership would have someone remove my hand controls from my trade, as this would save me from paying labor to the shop that installs them, and save me from driving both vehicles there and back.Matt was happy to make that happen for us. It was late in the evening when we finalized the deal, and the service department workers had all gone home for the day, but first thing the next morning, I got a text from Robby that my controls were ready to be picked up at my convenience. When I pulled onto the lot, Robby saw my truck and immediately signaled to me to stay in the truck. He went to get the hand controls and brought them out to me, so I didn't have to get my wheelchair out and get out, carry the controls to the truck, and then get my chair back in. We purchased the pre-owned Prius more than a month ago now, and we are still VERY pleased with our purchase. We haven't had any need for service yet, but I have confidence that things will go just as well, should the need arise. Everyone who was there the night we purchased our vehicle was extremely friendly and professional. A couple of the other dealers came up and talked to us while we waited for Robby and Matt, and they were very nice as well. It sounds corny, but you do feel like you are treated as family at this place, and that means a lot. They get it. There's literally hundreds of places within a reasonable drive you can buy a vehicle, but after our experience at Altoona Honda, my wife and I don't plan on going anywhere else for our future needs! The sales, business and management teams are professional yet genuinely kind people who listen to your needs and do all they can to make sure you are happy. My Sales Consultant, Robby Johnson, really put me at ease, making the stressful act of car buying a much more pleasant process. His insightful questions helped me choose the right vehicle when the one I originally had in mind didn't work out; it's difficult to go back to a sedan when you're used to a small SUV. I also worked with Business Manager Justin Griffith, and Sales Manager Matt Mallery, both of whom were very welcoming and truly care about customer service. I can honestly say that the way I was treated at Altoona Honda has inspired me to be more patient and understanding at my own workplace. I highly recommend paying them a visit if you're in the market for a new car! More
